Is the Tatsugiri + Dondozo combo any good in Reg F?
Its totally viable but hard to play. Dozogiri :dondozo: has a crazy high skill ceiling and is only really as good as you are in piloting it. There are probably some "free" teams/sets like 2-2-2 or the tera grass camulet variant that can carry you to a certain point on ladder, but is mostly reliant on people not having counters and the bo1/cts format. Against better players and people with counters its going to be much harder to win. Thats where the skill part comes in as to dodge say Amoon :amoonguss: or Urshifu :Urshifu: you gotta position your Dozo :Dondozo: correctly, weave in and out of the spore or shifu and make really good reads. A huge part of this is reads and positioning, theres so many cool mind games you can do like using the Dozo :dondozo: to bait out attacks and protecting while your partner goes for an attack, or using sub to dodge spores and (something I have been trying lately) stalling out psychic terrain to beat :iron-crown: + :indeedee-f:. These are just a few interactions you can use to beat some tough MU's, and with enough practice you can beat pretty much anything but especially against good players it gets really complicated, which is why you see it so little and people have trouble using it.
Early Reg its not as hard to pilot as people dont bring counters as the formats new, but already im facing more competition in tours and ladder as people are building in answers.
TLDR Its certainly a viable strategy but you gotta get a lot of practice/experience to make it work and its certainly not a free or more easy strategy like Psyspam or HO. If you haven't played Dozogiri :dondozo: before, I recommend not starting now unless you really like it

You guys think that Orthworm has a niche in this format? I've been using a team with it and it helped me climb ladder a bit, as well as getting 2nd in a tournament.

Could there be a niche for Enamorus-T in regulation F? Trick Room has seen some success lately, and in theory it pairs up nicely with Porygon2, Ursaluna (both formes) and Incineroar.

Oh, also. Any good sets for Farigiraf?

Farigiraf @ Safety Goggles

Ability: Armor Tail

In addition to viability rankings for singular mons, have there been efforts to make viability rankings or just general archetype guides for different VGC formats? For example, little blurbs on Caly Ice + Palkia or Lunala + Groudon in VGC 2022, or for Reg G Miraidon + Farigiraf teams or Calyrex-Shadow + Clefairy teams?

If this has been unsuccessful in the past, what might be some needed steps to make such a resource?

I did try this for SV Regulation G, but it didn't really feel great, just posting teams and explanations. If you want, go for it. I would start by asking some players what archetypes they see as most prevalent and threatening (for example for reg g I would say tailwind HO, weather and semi-Troom). Then, look at different successful teams this format or past formats, depending on what format you are looking at. Look for what teams are doing well, and what archetypes they are. Then you can make a general consensus, but make sure to take your own opinion into account. Also, make sure you are going in-depth and not choosing crazy archetypes like Snow Troom or something. But yeah, that's what I would do.

Why is Iron Valiant unranked in the viability rankings? Are its checks common? Is it outclassed by other Pokemon?

Iron Valiant probably isn't on the viability rankings because it hasn't seen any success as far as official Pokemon tournamnets go, unlike other more obscure Pokemon like Umbreon and Gothitelle. It is a good Pokemon in pair with Miraidon, just hasn't really been brough to light just yet.

Ftr it has gotten a day 2 result at Indianapolis and LA

Council didn't think It's worth it probably because it doesn't bring a lot of value.

Can you elaborate on this? It has several useful support moves and its stats make it less passive than other support Pokemon, so what stops it from bringing value or whatever?

Fraility means there are limited turns where it can do what it wants, and these support moves don't particularly help Miraidon as much as you'd want.

Outside of having wide guard and quick guard, there isn't any supporting move it has that you can't find a better user of. Taunt/trick+screens? Grimmsnarl. Encore+Helping hand? Whimsicott. Twave/icy wind? lol there's at least 20 better users. False Swipe Gaming can go into better depth as to why pokemon like Iron Valiant are not considered good with his 'theorem playlist'

Why is Iron Valiant worse than Mienshao, Pelipper, and Smeargle at using wide guard and worse than Latios, Tatsugiri, Flutter Mane, and Iron Bundle at using icy wind? I assume Whimsicott is better at encore because prankster, and Alolan Ninetales is better at screens because snow warning?

Also why is taunt unviable in this metagame when so many Pokemon rely on status moves?

Iron Valiant is worse than Mienshao because Mienshao is just better. Seriously, CC from Mienshao, thanks to Inner Focus, can OHKO Incineroar, yet Valiant can't. Pelipper provides a bit more utility, with rain and Tailwind also being option. But Iron Valiant has options, right? Screens? Grimmsnarl. Encore? Whimsicott. It gets outclassed in those categories. Iron Valiant doesn't really like to have Icy Wind, as it I forced to give up either Protect or one of two STABs, things Valiant doesn't want to do. Valiant is mid, not great. Taunt isn't unviable, just a lot of Pokemon effected by the Prankster version run Tera Dark and Taunt can sometimes be hard to slot onto a moveslot.
