Welcome to the Past Formats subforum for VGC! This exists to foster discussion and resources for VGC's formats of yesteryear, and also serves as an archive of past threads and war stories from the ancient age of Gens 4 and 5. We don't particularly expect this forum to be super active, but here are just a few ground rules and an index of the threads open for discussion.

    General Forum Rules

Put simply, just follow the general VGC forum rules and you'll be fine. The one thing we're more lenient on here is necrobumping, if a thread is open feel free to reply to it and give some input, but try not to hog a mostly dead thread. We do still ask that you PM or message a moderator for approval before posting new threads here.

Rules for Simple Questions & Simple Answers

1. DO NOT ASK ABOUT HACK CHECKS OR ROMS or any other forms of cheating
2. Your question should include at least a brief explanation
3. Please quote the question you are answering, otherwise it can get confusing
4. Please do a Google search before asking the question
5. This goes without saying, but please follow all Smogon rules and be respectful to others
