CHECK

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Crunch

Tyranitar switches into anything other than Thunder Wave and OHKOes back with Stone Edge. Resists Air Slash, and doesn't care about Nasty Plot and Roost obviously. Not a counter because it hates Thunder Wave and random Aura Spheres and without Stealth Rock doesn't OHKO 80% of the time.

Aerodactyl @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 Atk / 44 Def / 216 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Aerial Ace
- Fire Fang / Earthquake
- Aqua Tail / Ice Fang

Mega Aerodactyl can switch into anything Togekiss has to offer and beat it, but doesn't like being paralysed by Thunder Wave. Even if paralysed, Mega Aerodactyl can still beat Togekiss, as long it doesn't get flinched / fully paralysed.

Especially cool about Mega Aerodactyl is, that it has lesser fear of switching into Togekiss as a Rock type, because it doesn't take super effective damage by the rare Aura Sphere.

Mega Beedrill as a Check

Beedrill @ Beedrillite
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 252 Atk / 80 Def / 176 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Protect
- U-turn
- Poison Jab
- Knock Off / Drill Run

Killer Bee can only switch into Togekiss' damaging moves once without SR (that and NP, Roost or Heal Bell) and in return, MegaBee outspeeds and OHKOes Togekiss with a powerful Poison Jab. Due to its paper thin defenses (its SpDef isn't so low though), it's preferable to not directly switch your M-Beedrill into anything (not to mention Thunder Wave renders it useless).
0 SpA Togekiss Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Beedrill: 224-264 (82.6 - 97.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Togekiss Air Slash vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Beedrill: 228-270 (84.1 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Dragalge as a Hard Check

Dragalge @ Choice Specs
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 200 HP / 252 SpA / 56 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast / Hidden Power Fire
- Scald

Due to its unique Dragon/Poison-typing and great special bulk, Dragalge can easily switch into anything from Togekiss and can also survive a +2 Air Slash even with an uninvested SpDef. Moreover, it doesn't really care about being paralyzed because it's already pretty darn slow (being flinched to death would really suck though). In return, Dragalge destroys Togekiss with a super effective Specs-Adaptability-boosted Sludge Wave.
0 SpA Togekiss Fire Blast vs. 200 HP / 0 SpD Dragalge: 39-46 (12.1 - 14.3%) -- possible 7HKO after Stealth Rock

EVs: 248 HP / 64 Def / 180 SpD / 16 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Roost
- Hidden Power Ice
- Defog / Heat Wave

This specially defensive variant does very well at checking specially based threats like Gengar, Keldeo and, in this case, Togekiss. In fact, Zapdos isn't 2HKOed by Togekiss' Fire Blast at +2 without SR, but if it's not carrying Fire Blast, then Zapdos isn't even 2HKOed by a +4 Togekiss after SR or by a +6 Togekiss without them! In return, Zapdos 2HKOes it with Thunderbolt and has Roost to regain its health back if it has been flinched once or twice by Air Slash (again, being flinched to death would really suck). Oh and Zapdos is immune to Thunder Wave due to being an Electric-type mon

Lucario as a Check

Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Iron Tail

Even though Lucario doesn't like to directly switch into... well... anything, it can still survive Togekiss' Air Slash and switch into its NP, Roost or Heal Bell. In return, Lucario outspeeds and OHKOes Togekiss with Iron Tail (if it doesn't miss).

Rotom-H as a Hard Check

Rotom-Heat @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Trick

Before I begin, I just want to mention that Scarfed Rotom-W would've done the same job as its Fire-type counterpart, but since Scarf is nowhere to be seen on it compared to Rotom-H, I chose to nominate my precious little oven instead.

Alright, so due to its unique Electric/Fire-typing, it resists both of Togekiss' damaging moves while being immune to Thunder Wave. Also, Togekiss fails to 2HKO Rotom-H at +2 without SR, to OHKO it at +4 after SR and to OHKO at +6 without SR (and even after SR, Rotom-H has a slight chance to survive the hit!). In return, Rotom-H can Trick its Choice Scarf unto Togekiss if it gets greedy with Nasty Plots, forcing it out (personally, I wouldn't recommend it as a 60% flinching chance on most of OU can easily turn the tide of a battle in the opponent's favor), and 2HKO Togekiss with Thunderbolt. What makes Rotom-H not a (soft) counter to Togekiss is the lack of reliable recovery and its weakness to SR (not tomention with its hit-and-run nature, it'll get worn down quite fast).
0 SpA Togekiss Fire Blast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-H: 44-52 (18.1 - 21.4%) -- 96.9% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock
0 SpA Togekiss Air Slash vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-H: 45-53 (18.5 - 21.9%) -- 99.7% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb

Kyurem-B easily switches into anything Togekiss can throw at it except Thunder Wave. Then, it can simply Roost to high health or OHKO Togekiss with STAB Ice Beam. Earth Power and Fusion Bolt are standard coverage options.

Raikou as a Counter

Raikou @ Choice Specs
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power Ice
- Shadow Ball / Extrasensory

Raikou is an Electric-type so it cannot be paralyzed. It also doesn't care about Air Slash or Fire Blast and can OHKO back with a Super Effective Thunderbolt. Volt Switch is for momentum while HP Ice is for coverage. Shadow Ball gives you a stronger hit against Mega Metagross, Celebi and Lati@s while Extrasensory lets you get past Mega Venusaur and Amoonguss.

0 SpA Togekiss Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Raikou: 92-109 (28.6 - 33.9%) -- 0.9% chance to 3HKO

Unless Togekiss has Fire Blast, it can't touch Mega Aggron at all (and Fire Blast fails to 2HKO). In return, Aggron OHKOes back with Heavy Slam. Not calling it a counter because it can't switch i repeatedly and taking +2 Fire Blast sucks.

Tornadus-therian is a nice check to Infernape as it is faster than it and has a nice typing advantage vs it. Tornadus-therian easily switches-in vs Infernape ad none of Infernape's move can OHKO Tornadus-therian and as it is faster, it can OHKO Infernape with a single Hurricane.

Chandelure @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball

Chandelure is immune to both of Infernape's STABs and takes minimal damage from its coverage moves. This allows it to switch in on any of Infernape's moves, then proceed to cripple it with Trick or 2HKO it with its STABs. EVs: 248 HP / 164 SpA / 96 SpD
Modest Nature

Slowking easily comes into any attack Inferape wants to throw at it, even with Stealth Rock. If Infernape wants to predict the switch into Slowking and try to Grass Knot, the best it can hope for is the smallest chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock while Scald easily OHKOs back. (Close Combat and Gunk Shot actually do more, although they barely 3HKO after Rocks and Slowking can regain any HP it has lost thanks to Regenerator. Infernape has to get really lucky with no missing, has to have Rocks up and has to get a Poison with Gunk Shot to even stand a chance.)

Hard Check

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs : 248 HP / 104 Def / 156 SpD
Calm Nature
- Waterfall
- Thunder Wave
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Not a counter since it loses to Thunder Punch, but it doesn't really care about any of Infernape's most common moves. The most it fears is Gunk Shot, which doesn't 2HKO after SR, even taking into account potential Poison damage:

-1 100 Atk Life Orb Infernape Gunk Shot vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Gyarados: 104-123 (26.4 - 31.2%) -- 44.9% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Also Waterfall OHKOs back after LO damage:

0 Atk Gyarados Waterfall vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Infernape: 276-326 (94.1 - 111.2%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

LOL Doing Mega Latias again.

Name: Latias
Status: Counter

Latias @ Latiasite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spe
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Roost
- Psyshock / Stored Power
- Hidden Power Fighting / Substitute

Infernape fails to do anything to Mega Latias who completely sets up all over it. Psyshock is used for immediate power (OHKOes Infernape!) while Hidden Power Fighting hits Tyranitar, Weavile and Bisharp while also allowing Mega Latias to get past Ferrothorn after a few Calm Minds. EVs allows Latias to outspeed Mega Tyranitar before a Dragon Dance while the rest is put into bulk.

156 SpA Life Orb Infernape Hidden Power Ice vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Mega Latias: 96-114 (26.4 - 31.4%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
100 Atk Life Orb Infernape Gunk Shot vs. 248 HP / 212+ Def Mega Latias: 84-100 (23.1 - 27.5%) -- 70.4% chance to 4HKO
0 SpA Mega Latias Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Infernape: 306-362 (104.4 - 123.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Mew as a check.

Mew @ Leftovers
Ability: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe
Calm Nature
- Taunt
- Roost
- Will-O-Wisp
- Psychic

Mew can avoid the 2HKO from any move, even with Stealth Rock up. From there, it can Roost to heal up or hit Infernape with a Super Effective Psychic, which OHKOes it. Psychic also deals with Mega Lopunny, Keldeo and Mega Venusaur better.

156 SpA Life Orb Infernape Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 224+ SpD Mew: 136-161 (33.6 - 39.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
100 Atk Life Orb Infernape Gunk Shot vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 127-151 (31.4 - 37.3%) -- 85.1% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Mew Psychic vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Infernape: 288-338 (98.2 - 115.3%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO

DarkNostalgia

Fading in, fading out, on the edge of paradise

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Roost
- Defog

Is easy. Latios switches into everything without being OHKOed (although Gunk Shot is kinda annoying as it deals upward 60% combined with a possible chance to poison), and OHKO back with Psyshock. Is a hard check because it can't switch in twice but it's a hard check because it has Roost I guess.

100 Atk Life Orb Infernape Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Latios: 155-182 (51.8 - 60.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
156 SpA Life Orb Infernape Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Latios: 125-148 (41.8 - 49.4%) -- 84.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Latios Psyshock vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Infernape: 452-533 (154.2 - 181.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Dr Ciel

Banned deucer.
Pokemon: Moltres
Status: Hard Check / Soft Counter

Moltres @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 160 Def / 100 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Roost
- Flamethrower

Thanks to respectable 90 / 90 / 85 bulk, Moltres can switch on everything bar a Thunder Punch, and simply stall it out of Gunk Shots (It's strongest move against it bar T-Punch.) and Toxic stall it to death, while whittling it down even more with Flamethrower, doing a solid 30%~ each time. #FuckMainstream

156 SpA Life Orb Infernape Fire Blast vs. 248 HP / 160+ SpD Moltres: 81-95 (21.1 - 24.8%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery

100 Atk Life Orb Infernape Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Moltres: 104-123 (27.1 - 32.1%) -- 59% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

100 Atk Life Orb Infernape Gunk Shot vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Moltres: 139-165 (36.2 - 43%) -- 98.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

156 SpA Life Orb Infernape Grass Knot (80 BP) vs. 248 HP / 160+ SpD Moltres: 19-23 (4.9 - 6%) -- possibly the worst move ever

156 SpA Life Orb Infernape Hidden Power Ice vs. 248 HP / 160+ SpD Moltres: 58-70 (15.1 - 18.2%) -- possible 8HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Moltres Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Infernape: 87-102 (29.6 - 34.8%) -- 13.5% chance to 3HKO

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split
- Will-o-Wisp

Role: Hard Check / Soft Counter

100 Atk Life Orb Infernape Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Rotom-W: 133-156 (41.1 - 48.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery (5.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery)
0 SpA Rotom-W Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Infernape: 366-432 (124.9 - 147.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Not much to explain here. Close Combat is the most damaging move MixApe can use against Rotom-W, and with the above spread, will never 2HKO unless rocks are up (assuming Rotom still has its Lefties), and even then, it needs two high damage rolls. Hydro Pump just flat out OHKOes. Also, lol at Grass Knot being 20 BP.

The Forgotten threat
Check

Victini @ Choice Band
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- V-create
- Bolt Strike
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn

How it Checks
  • 156 SpA Life Orb Infernape Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Victini: 92-109 (26.9 - 31.9%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
  • 100 Atk Life Orb Infernape Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Victini: 95-113 (27.8 - 33.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
  • 100 Atk Life Orb Infernape Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Victini: 127-151 (37.2 - 44.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
  • 156 SpA Life Orb Infernape Grass Knot (20 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Victini: 12-14 (3.5 - 4.1%) -- possibly the worst move ever
How it Beats
  • 252 Atk Choice Band Victini Zen Headbutt vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Infernape: 434-512 (148.1 - 174.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
  • 252 Atk Choice Band Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Infernape: 243-286 (82.9 - 97.6%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
  • 252 Atk Choice Band Victini Bolt Strike vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Infernape: 234-276 (79.8 - 94.1%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
Explanation: Just like in UU Infernape meant a free switch in for Victini to cause havoc. With rocks up you don't have to relies on zen headbutt you can constantly switch moves up predicting switching to either kill or damage a mon with immense amount of power.

Name: Tentacruel
Status: Counter

Tentacruel @ Black Sludge
Ability: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 28 SpD / 16 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Acid Spray
- Protect / Toxic Spikes / Sludge Wave

Just like in the days of DPP, Tentacruel doesn't care about anything Infernape can throw at it (unless it decides to run Earthquake or Thunder Punch). In return, Scald KOes Infernape if it has already suffered a SpD drop due to Close Combat or has already taken Stealth Rock damage and at least 1 turn of Life Orb recoil. In the final slot, Protect is used to gain more health from Black Sludge and scouting Choice-locked moves, Toxic Spikes to support the team while Sludge Wave hits Fairy-types (and Breloom) harder.

100 Atk Life Orb Infernape Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 216 Def Tentacruel: 103-121 (28.3 - 33.3%) -- 0.1% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
156 SpA Life Orb Infernape Grass Knot (80 BP) vs. 248 HP / 28 SpD Tentacruel: 75-90 (20.6 - 24.7%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
0 SpA Tentacruel Scald vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Infernape: 212-252 (72.3 - 86%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
