Project Victim of the Week

Name: Charizard
Status: Counter

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Dragon Claw
- Roost

Zard-X takes very little damage from any of Victini's attacks and can heal up with Roost if needed. It can also 2HKO Victini with Dragon Claw or set-up on it with Dragon Dance.

96 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Charizard X: 48-57 (16.1 - 19.1%) -- possible 6HKO
160 SpA Victini Glaciate vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Charizard X: 63-75 (21.2 - 25.2%) -- 0.1% chance to 4HKO
96 Atk Victini Bolt Strike vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Charizard X: 47-55 (15.8 - 18.5%) -- possible 6HKO
160 SpA Victini Grass Knot (100 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Charizard X: 24-28 (8 - 9.4%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Dragon Claw vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 174-205 (51 - 60.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Counter

Latias @ Latiasite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 84 Def / 176 Spe
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Roost
- Dragon Pulse
- Stored Power

Even though Mega Latias doesn't appreciate being slowed down by Glaciate, it easily switches into any of Victini's attacks. After setting up a single Calm Mind, Victini has no chance of breaking through Latias, as Glaciate does pathetic damage. Mega Latias is able to 2HKO with Dragon Pulse after Stealth Rock without any boosts and can Roost off any damage it may have taken. A Hasty-natured Victini needs a single round of Life Orb for a guaranteed 2HKO after Rocks, but the chance is high anyways.

96 Atk Life Orb Victini V-create vs. 248 HP / 84+ Def Mega Latias: 100-118 (27.5 - 32.5%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

96 Atk Life Orb Victini Bolt Strike vs. 248 HP / 84+ Def Mega Latias: 48-57 (13.2 - 15.7%) -- possible 7HKO

160 SpA Life Orb Victini Glaciate vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Mega Latias: 101-120 (27.8 - 33%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

160 SpA Life Orb Victini Energy Ball vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Mega Latias: 35-42 (9.6 - 11.5%) -- possible 9HKO

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Whirlwind / Stone Edge / Toxic

Role: Check

Hippowdon is immune to Bolt Strike and can survive one Life Orb Energy Ball, which is the worst case scenario defensively. In return, Earthquake is an OHKO on Hasty Victini after Stealth Rock, while Naive requires rocks and one hit of LO recoil to guarantee the OHKO.

96 Atk Life Orb Victini V-create vs. 252 HP / 144+ Def Hippowdon: 195-230 (46.4 - 54.7%) -- 8.2% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
160 SpA Life Orb Victini Glaciate vs. 252 HP / 112 SpD Hippowdon: 161-192 (38.3 - 45.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
160 SpA Life Orb Victini Grass Knot (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 112 SpD Hippowdon: 296-351 (70.4 - 83.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery (this is the absolute worst case scenario here, you have better odds if it's E-belt or E-ball)

0 Atk Hippowdon Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 236-282 (69.2 - 82.6%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock (Naive Victini)
0 Atk Hippowdon Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0- Def Victini: 266-314 (78 - 92%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock (Hasty Victini)

And yes, I know I've done Hippowdon two weeks in a row, deal with it.

Tyranitar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Superpower
- Crunch

Definitely this is one of the best checks cause if you switch into Tyranitar vs any move of Victini he will survive and works like a revenge killer.

96 Atk Life Orb Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Tyranitar: 126-149 (36.9 - 43.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
96 Atk Life Orb Victini Bolt Strike vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Tyranitar: 123-146 (36 - 42.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
160 SpA Life Orb Victini Glaciate vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 48-57 (14 - 16.7%) -- possible 6HKO
160 SpA Life Orb Victini Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 133-156 (39 - 45.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
160 SpA Life Orb Victini Grass Knot (120 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 177-208 (51.9 - 60.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Tyranitar Crunch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 270-318 (79.1 - 93.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage
252 Atk Tyranitar Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 336-396 (98.5 - 116.1%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO

Chandelure @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Energy Ball
- Trick / Memento

Chandelure is immune to V-Create, resistant to most of Victini's coverage moves (it doesn't like being slowed down by Glaciate, though), and can survive one LO Bolt Strike. In return, Shadow Ball can OHKO Naive Victini, while Hasty requires one round of LO recoil.

Chandelure can also steal Victini's boosting item with Trick, but it doesn't really do anything unless it tries to use V-Create.

Heatran (Hard check/ soft counter)

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP/ 192 SpD/ 68 Spe
Calm Nature
-Stealth Rock
-Toxic
-Earth Power
-Lava Plume

The most Victini can do:

96 Atk Life Orb Victini Bolt Strike vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 127-151 (32.9 - 39.2%) -- 99.8% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

In return:

0 SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Victini: 162-192 (47.5 - 56.3%) -- 82.4% chance to 2HKO

Cresselia as a Counter:

Cresselia @ Leftovers
- Psyshock
- Moonblast / Ice Beam
- Moonlight
- Thunder Wave
Ability: Levitate
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature

Cresselia is a fat fucker who can avoid the 2HKO from anything (barring two consecutive one-in-sixteen rolls) on Victini's set and heal back up with Moonlight. It can also cripple Victini with Thunder Wave, making it much easier for teammates to deal with. Due to Levitate it isn't worn down by Spike-stacking teams either. Shadow Ball is an option if you want to damage Victini more directly but the other moves are generally better against the metagame at large.

96 Atk Life Orb Victini V-create vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Cresselia: 175-208 (39.4 - 46.8%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

EDIT yes thank you Erai14 I was looking at the damage calc and got Victini's Nature confused with Cresselia's; the change has been made.

Ehh a naive nature lowers your bulk.

SketchUp

Don't let your memes be dreams

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 144 HP / 188 Def / 176 SpD
Careful Nature
- Body Slam
- Curse
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Thanks to Thick Fat, Snorlax can switch in to Victini's V-Create without many problems and stay healthy throughout the match because of Rest. Even though V-Create can 3hko after Stealth Rock damage, it will never 3HKO Snorlax without any prior damage. Using Rest after switching in will turn V-Create's possible 3HKO into a 4HKO, while Curse can make things even worse for Victini. Grass Knot won't even 5hko this thing even though it weighs 400 kg, showing its amazing bulk once again. Snorlax is so good that it can even use Mixed LO Victini as setup fodder.

96 Atk Life Orb Victini V-create vs. 144 HP / 188 Def Thick Fat Snorlax: 153-183 (30.7 - 36.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
160 SpA Life Orb Victini Grass Knot (120 BP) vs. 144 HP / 176+ SpD Snorlax: 95-112 (19.1 - 22.5%) -- possible 6HKO after Leftovers recovery

Check

Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Rock Slide
- Iron Head

Choice Scarf Terrakion outspeeds Victini and can OHKO Victini with Stone Edge with at least 4.9% prior damage. He survives all of Victini's attacks, and has a 75% to one-shot the expert belt variant of Victini. If Stone Ege hits the Life Orb variant on a switch in, it's a guranteed OHKO. Should Terrakion still be a counter, despite not being guranteed the OHKO on the expert belt set?

Here are the damage calculations:
96 Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Terrakion: 117-138 (36.2 - 42.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
96 Atk Victini Bolt Strike vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Terrakion: 113-133 (34.9 - 41.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
160 SpA Victini Glaciate vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Terrakion: 60-71 (18.5 - 21.9%) -- possible 5HKO
160 SpA Expert Belt Victini Energy Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Terrakion: 199-235 (61.6 - 72.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Terrakion Stone Edge vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 326-386 (95.6 - 113.1%) -- 75% chance to OHKO
AragornEDIT: I changed counter to check because Terrakion cannot repeatedly switch in as it runs the risk of getting hit by a grass move. Ie if Victini uses Eball on the switch, Terrakion is no longer a safe switch-in.
