Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Soft-Boiled
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

does the same thing as chansey except it kills Hydreigon quicker and doesn't get outlasted by taunt roost sets. hydreigon also lacks superpower so blissey can switch in easily every time.

0 SpA Blissey Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Hydreigon: 112-134 (34.4 - 41.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+1 0 SpA Blissey Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Hydreigon: 168-198 (51.6 - 60.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Draco Meteor vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Blissey: 188-224 (28.8 - 34.3%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Naive Nature
- Moonblast
- Diamond Storm
- Earth Power
- Protect / Hidden Power Fire

Diancie can switch in on any of Hydreigon's attacks (except Flash Cannon), Mega Evolve, then OHKO it several times over with Moonblast.

Offensive:
224 SpA Mega Diancie Moonblast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Hydreigon: 780-924 (240 - 284.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Banned deucer.

Gardevoir @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 232 SpA / 24 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Will-O-Wisp

Although it's better to avoid directly switching in unless you are positive they are using Draco Meteor, Mega Gardevoir is faster than Hydreigon and bulky enough to live any of its attacks. From there, she is free to OHKO the three-headed dragon with Hyper Voice and apply pressure on the opposing team with her strong attacks. Something worth mentioning is Gardevoir being slower than Hydreigon prior to mega evolving. As such, try mega evolving as soon as possible, since being killed by two Dark Pulse or Flash Cannon hits before having the chance to attack yourself isn't ideal. All in all a solid check.

Some calcs:

Flash Cannon vs Mega Gardevoir: 68.5 - 80.8%
Dark Pulse vs Mega Gardevoir: 51.2 - 60.6%
Fire Blast vs Mega Gardevoir: 46.5 - 54.8%

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 144 HP / 188 Def / 176 SpD
Careful Nature
- Curse
- Body Slam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk/fire punch/earthquake

Snorlax can switch in on Hydreigon's moves, set up on and then body slam is 2hko. Standard UU evs spread, feel free to change it but it does not change much.

252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Draco Meteor vs. 144 HP / 176+ SpD Snorlax: 211-250 (42.4 - 50.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Dark Pulse vs. 144 HP / 176+ SpD Snorlax: 130-153 (26.1 - 30.7%) -- 4.4% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Life Orb Hydreigon Flash Cannon vs. 144 HP / 176+ SpD Snorlax: 87-103 (17.5 - 20.7%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 0 Atk Snorlax Body Slam vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Hydreigon: 162-192 (49.8 - 59%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO

infernape pls

Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 100 Atk / 156 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Close Combat
- Fire Blast
- Gunk Shot
- Grass Knot

Infernape is a versatile monkey that can switch into every single one of hydreigon's moves bar draco by virtue of resisting them, and draco isn't exactly the most spammable move anymore with fairy and steel types like clefable and megazor respectively waiting to eat one and start setting up. After switching in, Infernape outspeeds and easily OHKOs with close combat without having to worry about any priority shenanigans.

hard check

Pinsir @ Pinsirite
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Return
- Close Combat
- Quick Attack

Mega Pinsir can easily switch into Tangrowth taking any move that it wants to go for, especially since it is AV and not running sleep powder. This is since HP Fire/Ice, Tang's best move vs pinsir, does 45% max. Then, mega pinsir can OHKO back with return. The reason why this is better than volcarona or talonflame is because it can actually OHKO tang without a boost, so it doesn't have to take extra damage.

Calcs:
0 SpA Tangrowth Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Mega Pinsir: 102-122 (37.6 - 45%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Aerilate Mega Pinsir Return vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Tangrowth: 408-482 (100.9 - 119.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Volcarona @ Lum Berry
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 72 HP / 252 SpA / 184 Spe
Timid Nature
- Quiver Dance
- Fire Blast
- Giga Drain
- Bug Buzz

Volc kinda eats Tangrowth alive assuming it can get in without Rocks getting up. Earthquake and Knock Off are the only attacks that actually do damage, but they still fail to prevent Volcarona from boosting up in Tangrowth's face and demolishing it with its STAB attacks.

0 Atk Tangrowth Earthquake vs. 72 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 102-121 (31 - 36.7%) -- 71.6% chance to 3HKO
0 Atk Tangrowth Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 72 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 99-117 (30 - 35.5%) -- 29.1% chance to 3HKO
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Bug Buzz vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth: 326-386 (80.6 - 95.5%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth: 402-474 (99.5 - 117.3%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

TALONBIRD

Talonflame
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
- Acrobatics
- Roost
- Bulk Up
- Will-O-Wisp

Talonflame comes in, takes hilariously low damage from all Tangrowth's attacks bar if it chooses to run Rock Slide, and can either set up or 3HKO with Acrobatics. Earthquake will normally hit hard when Talonflame uses Roost, but in this case Talon can either burn or Bulk Up and reduce damage. If Talonflame switches in on SR + Knock Off, just Bulk Up and Roost to ensure survival.

0 Atk Tangrowth Knock Off vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Talonflame: 62-74 (17.2 - 20.6%) -- possible 5HKO
0 Atk Tangrowth Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Talonflame: 192-226 (53.4 - 62.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

0 Atk burned Tangrowth Knock Off vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Talonflame: 31-37 (8.6 - 10.3%) -- possibly the worst move ever
0 Atk burned Tangrowth Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Talonflame: 96-113 (26.7 - 31.4%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

0 Atk Talonflame Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Tangrowth: 110-130 (27.2 - 32.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam
- Focus Blast
- Roost

Since Tangrowth can't run Sleep Powder, Charizard can switch in on any of Tangrowth's moves, Mega Evolve, then proceed to obliterate it with Fire Blast.

Stealth Rock is obviously a problem, but none of Tangrowth's moves 2HKO after hazard damage.

Offensive:
252 SpA Mega Charizard Y Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth in Sun: 452-534 (111.8 - 132.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Mega Charizard Y Solar Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth: 55-65 (13.6 - 16%) -- possible 7HKO
252 SpA Mega Charizard Y Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth: 110-130 (27.2 - 32.1%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

Defensive:
0 SpA Tangrowth Leaf Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Charizard Y: 33-40 (11.1 - 13.4%) -- possible 8HKO
0 Atk Tangrowth Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Charizard Y: 57-68 (19.1 - 22.8%) -- possible 5HKO
0 SpA Tangrowth Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Charizard Y: 19-23 (6.3 - 7.7%) -- possibly the worst move ever
0 SpA Tangrowth Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Charizard Y: 42-50 (14.1 - 16.8%) -- possible 6HKO
0 SpA Tangrowth Hidden Power Fire vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Charizard Y in Sun: 31-37 (10.4 - 12.4%) -- possible 9HKO
