EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Scald

- Recover

- Ice Beam

- Toxic
poison.gif

Thanks to Unaware, Quagsire is able to switch into Stone Edge, and take very little damage. This makes it a good counter to Double Dance Landorus-T, and it can also 2HKO [The difference between a 2HKO + OHKO is very small!] Lando-T with Ice Beam. 252 EVs in Defense means it can endure Landorus's attacks, and the given spread makes it as bulky as possible. Scald can be used, though it does less than Ice Beam, but the burn chance can be helpful. Toxic wittles away at Landorus's HP each turn, but Quagsire should focus on getting rid of Landorus as soon as possible. The reason for this is because Quagsire isn't very fast, so instead of constantly having to heal off damage taken, it should spam Ice Beam until Landorus-T is gone. Once it has fainted, it can Recover, and handle the next Pokemon.

Here are some calcs:

Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Spikes
- Thunder Wave
- Magnet Rise
- Foul Play

Yeah not a lot is able to switch in to this thing, I found that out the hard way when I saw Rotom-W take something around 80% from +2 Stone Edge, haha. Anyways, Klefki is able to switch in on either Stone Edge, Rock Polish or Swords Dance and proceed to Magnet Rise, allowing it to be immune to Earthquake. If Landorus-T is at +2, Foul Play can OHKO after any chip damage (it 2HKOs if Landorus-T is at neutral). +2 Stone Edge can't 2HKO after Klefki's Leftovers recovery without some serious hazards up, not to mention the shaky accuracy of it. Klefki is only a hard check and not a counter, however, as Earthquake can OHKO if it is misfortune enough to switch into it. It also lacks reliable recovery (and can't paralyze it with Thunder Wave), so it gets shakier throughout the game.

+2 252+ Atk Landorus-T Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Klefki: 139-164 (43.7 - 51.5%) -- 10.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Weavile as a Check

Weavile @ Life Orb
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
-Ice Shard
-Icicle Crash
-Knock Off
-Low Kick

Weavile is a good way to deal with Dual Dance Landorus-T for most offense teams. Icicle Crash shreds Lando before the Rock Polish and Ice Shard picks it off if it has already set up. Weavile must be brought in safely to do its job, as it will be KO'd by EQ or Edge otherwise.

Intimidate isn't a factor in these calcs since it shouldn't come into play when using Weavile against Lando. That said, Icicle Crash and Ice Shard (with a little prior damage for the latter) still destroy it.

252 Atk Life Orb Weavile Icicle Crash vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Landorus-T: 749-879 (234.7 - 275.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Bronzong comes on anything Lando-T throws at it, because of his immunity to EQ and his resistance to Rock. The bell thing also has the raw bulk to take +6 Adamant Stone Edges and has enough power to 2HKO back with HP Ice.

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Roost
- Reflect Type

With its immunity to EQ and beautiful bulk, Mega Latias is a sure-fire counter to Double Dance Lando-T, as you can always switch in and win 100% of the time. Should Lando-T use RP on the switch to Mega Latias, you only take 30.5 - 36% from the subsequent +0 Stone Edge and easily kill back with Ice Beam (130.4 - 154.2%). Should Lando-T use SD on the switch to Mega Latias, you will be faster and free to kill with Ice Beam before taking any damage. In emergency situations where Lando-T has managed to grab both a RP and SD, Mega Latias still wins because you stomach a boosted Stone Edge (60.8 - 71.6%) and kill back afterwards. As such, Mega Latias makes a fantastic counter to this particular Lando-T. It's been one of the most popular Pokemon as of late, and it's durability and reputation for blanket checking numerous Pokemon is put to great use here.

Mamoswine is a Check to Double Dance Lando-T due to it's ability to revenge kill it with it's priority Ice Shard, which is 4x super effective against Lando-T. Can't really come in safely on it unless it's setting up, however, and if it's at -1, it might not even OHKO Lando-T with Ice Shard.

Because of a higher speed stat and Levitate, Hydreigon is able to counter Double Dance Landorus-T. If it switches in when Lando-T uses Earthquake or Swords Dance, it won't take any damage and it will outspeed Lando-T the next turn and OHKO it with a LO Draco Meteor. If it switches in on a Stone Edge, it can take the hit pretty well and Roost off the damage that is has taken or OHKO with Draco Meteor.

I see Latias as a perfect counter for Double Dance Lando-T because it has Levitate, taking Earthquake away for Lando-T and, as seen in the calcs, efficiently taking Stone Edge, while OHKOing with Ice Beam. The other calcs are merely to show what else it can do to other common pokemon, like TankChomp and Defensive Salamence.

After Tracing Intimidate, Porygon2 can switch in on any of Landorus-T's attacks and OHKO with Ice Beam. If it switches in while Porygon2 has another ability, Porygon2 still comes out relatively unscathed.

However, if Landorus is at +2 or higher, Porygon2 will be unable to switch in on Soft Sand variants.

Bronzong's ability and typing allow it to switch in to all of Landorus-T's attacks (Unless it's at +4 or above, but if it's at that point before you switch in, you're doing something wrong), then 2HKO it with Hidden Power Ice.

Gourgeist-Super easily takes hits from Landorus-T and has Recovery so it can't be worn down easily. Foul Play has a 75% chance to OHKO a +2 Lando-T after Stealth Rock, after his Stone Edge only did 55% max. Because of Frisk, Gourgeist-Super can also look at Lando-T's item. Foul Play is often the best play but if Frisk shows a Leftovers Lando-T at full health you could assume a more bulky SD set and click Wisp instead of Foul Play to win 100% of the time.

+2 252+ Atk Landorus-T Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 160+ Def Gourgeist-Super: 174-205 (46.5 - 54.8%) -- 9% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

EVs: 248 HP / 228 Def / 32 SpD

- Sleep Powder

Tangrowth is a really solid Landorus-T counter because it avoids the 2HKO from a +2 Stone Edge, so even if you miss Sleep Powder or HP Ice doesn't kill, you will still beat Landorus-T. Tangrowth also can't be worn down really easily because of Regenerator. HP Ice is the safest play because it will always 2HKO Lando-T, even if it runs Yache Berry, but Sleep Powder can be used so you have a big chance that you only have to take one Stone Edge before beating Landorus-T. Unfortunately you risk missing and Lando-T having a Lum Berry.

Whimsicott can come in on a Lando-T after one SD. If it comes in on an EQ, it can press Cotton Guard, and then Giga Drain or Leech Seed. If it comes in on an SD or RP it can press Encore. However, Whimsicott can't come in after two SDs, but if you let it set up that far you've lost. The best play would probably be (if you know it's Double Dance) to switch out immediately when it comes in, and follow up with Encore.

EVs: 244 HP / 204 Def / 60 Spe
Impish Nature
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake

- Swords Dance

PhysDef SD Gliscor is interesting in general, but if you run it you kinda have to carry Ice Fang to get the best bang for your buck. Assuming that it is at full health as it comes onto the field and it comes in as Lando uses Swords Dance, it is able to heal of the damage it takes from coming in on Stealth Rock and can take 2 Stone Edges to the face. Due to the fact that it wasn't intimidated, it is able to 2HKO Landorus-T with Ice Fang. While it could SD on it, if you lack a secondary stop such as PDef Skarm you don't want to risk a crit as you SD due to the fact that DD Lando-T is insanely scary to face and it is best to get a large chunk off on it in case you get critted. If it comes in on an unboosted Stone Edge or a Rock Polish then Lando ain't doing crap to it anyway so it can just SD as Lando SDs and then can proceed to Ice Fang on the following turn. The given EVs outpace analysis tankchomp to make the most of the coverage that Ice Fang provides, although it is best to creep a little due to the fact that literally noone doesn't creep with tankchomp.
