Hey! I am new here.
I am hosting an official pokemon spriting contest that should last for an extended duration of 5 weeks. I WILL BE HOSTING THIS CONTEST THROUGH DISCORD, NOT THROUGH THE FORUMS DIRECTLY; this means that you will be possibly competing against users not exclusive to Smogon. I will post updates on the contest forum to make it active however to follow the procedures here. For the sake of the moderators here is an exact copy and paste of the rules and structure of the contest from the Discord channel.

RULES
1. Be nice and civil; don't be an ass or you'll be banned from the competition; additionally, basic rules exclusive to other forums also apply here at their most reasonable extent
2. In general I'll be as fair as possible when judging, if you feel you deserved a score that wasn't fair you will only given 1 opportunity to submit a request with a reason or explanation about your purposes with the submission; to do this shoot me a DM
3. Please try not to post personal information about yourself or other people; also this is not a NSFW channel so porn and sexual talk is prohibited
STRUCTURE
1. There is a total of 5 rounds that will each last 7 days. You will have this time window to submit your entry through a DM to me. Updates on time windows and dates for the challenges will be posted on #judging-and-announcements
2. There will be usually 2 judges (including my dad or sister if they are not busy); if not I'll be the only judge for that week. Each entry will be a given a score out of 10 for Execution and Originality which will be added to give a total score of 20. If there happens to be a guest judge, they will also give their own scores. My score and the guest judge's score will be averaged to give a final score for an entry.
3. YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO DROP A MAX OF 2 OUT OF 5 CHALLENGES. I don't plan on doing eliminations because many promising competitors leave too early if they simply forgot to submit something or they were busy. That means you could submit something for Challenge 1, skip Challenges 2 and 3, and submit something for Challenges 4 and 5. This is to give flexibility.
4. To determine the champion, I will average the TOP 3 BEST SCORES of an individual's entries and assign them a composite score. The one with the highest score wins. If you only submitted 3/5 entries, those entries will be considered your top 3 during the final judging. If you only submitted 2 entries or only 1 entry, you will not be considered for the final judging.
5. Prizes: 1st place gets 3 personalized sprite requests, 2nd place gets 2, and 3rd place gets 1.
6. Results for the weekly challenge will be posted for all your peers to see under #judging-and-announcements
7. People are allowed to JOIN LATE, but not after the deadline to the 2nd challenge passes. That means you can still submit 3 sprites to be considered for the final judging in Challenges 3-5.
