.::Team Development::.

I was wanting to do a Rain, the first chosen was quite easy, Politoed because the only claiming the permanent climate in OU.
186.gif

As second member I was looking for someone who could win the game in the late game and could benefit from Rain, Thundurus-T joined the team.
642-therian.gif

With already chosen two Pokémon, was being needed someone with enough raw power to not give the opponent free to shift and put pressure on Mind Game, Dragonite joined the team, with a great Atk and Ability to envy anyone.
149.gif

Possessing two attackers who suffer with Stealth Rock a Spiner was necessary, I had some good options for this, but I do not want to lose the speed factor of the team, so I left with two options Tentacruel and Starmie, Tentacruel entered the team possessing Rain Dish he can recover as rain is in the field.
073.gif

Possessing a huge weakness to Latios and Latios, needed to hold them somehow keeping the speed and strength of the team, the team enters Jirachi, possessing resistance to their Stabs and a base of 100 Spd was perfect to help Dragonite in Mind Game.
385.gif

I had almost the entire team ready, missing someone who puts up the stones in the field, Terrakion joined the team, gaining access to blows as Stealth Rock and Taunt, he became a great Lead which can prevent hazards from being played in my field and their play, moreover has an impressive Atk and Spd and maintaining the thematic team and they have good Spd and Atk.

Politoed (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Nature: Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Focus Blast
- Perish Song

Politoed is not the best Pokémon game, though using Choice Scarf he reaches 393, Spd able to overcome things like Tornadus-T, Thundurus-T, Alakazam, Terrakion etc ...
Thanks to the boost it receives from Rain until he can be a good Revenger Killer able to OHKO on all Pokémon that I quoted above, thanks to its Dream World Ability that causes permanent place rain it is indispensable to staff mostly against other Wheaters in which keep the rain and of great importance since every team revolves around her.

Thundurus-T (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
Nature: Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
-Thunder
-Hidden Power[Ice]
-Focus Blast
Agility

It is simply incredible, possessing an ability Volt Absorb even more amazing in times of rain which protects other members of blows Electric, moreover can 100% success in Thunder the strongest blow of this kind, yet has great resistances and immunities, so a great Pokemon, he works as a team in the late game after damage done by Jirachi, Dragonite opponent in the team he can give an agility that increases your speed by 2 levels causing it to be faster than any Choice Scarf user who along with a Spatk of 389 can cause OHKO on everything that does not resist his blows or has a large Spdef his moveset makes he can hit all the metagame with at least neutral damage.

149.png

Dragonite (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Nature: Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- ExtremeSpeed
- Waterfall

Multiscale Dragonite after he received was difficult to handle, it works very well in the team despite his Spd 259 is only enough for his job, he does nothing but hit in the Mind Game with Outrage or other of its blows depending on the situation, Choice Band gives a boost in his Atk causing him to have 403 of the Atk becoming a Pokémon that causes great damage, while playing with him must be very careful because you have to use the blow at the right time that does not end up getting stuck in an Outrage in front of a Steel, as it can function as a Revenger Killer during the match, getting to overthrow those with weakened Pokémon ExtremeSpeed besides helping much against Rock Polish Landorus seeing that it is difficult to handle, weakened when he can get in front of him and give Revenger Kill with ExtremeSpeed.

::Dr.Octopus::.
073.png

Tentacruel (M) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 Spd
Nature:Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Scald
- Rapid Spin

Having Rapid Spin support is very important to not have problems with Entry Hazards, Tentacruel can do this well, this division makes Evs he Spd 290, which causes it to be faster than things like Gliscor, Landorus -T, Mamoswine, Pokémon that without Spd kill him without any problem, moreover he is one of the only ones who can do something Spiners opposite Jellicent, being faster than him and have access to it can Substitute and Toxic poisoning it, often forcing him to change and allowing a Rapid Spin without a problem, moreover Scald has to hit that besides the 30% Burn (if I remember correctly) still gets a Boost from rain

::Amane Misa::.

385.png

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Nature:Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Thunder
- Psychic

Jirachi is the only one who can get in Stab Dragon type, it turns out to be a problem, but he can handle them well alone, works with Dragonite in Mind Game wreaking havoc on the opposing team, can without any problem for some Calm Mind because of the shifts that receives free, 252 HP and 252 in Spd causes it can do sub 101 and 328 Spd achieve two very important things, Thunder hits Bulky Waters in general, and his Psychic Stab that is most used in the coup most often the moveset, I'm considering Psyshock power to kill things with Chansey and Calm Mind Latias more easily.

::T.E.R.R.O.R::.

639.png

Terrakion @ Focus Sash
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Nature: Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge

In the current metagame is being very common HO team who use Mew and Deoxys-D, Terrakion can be a great for Lead can prevent these play Pokémon as Stealth Rock or Spikes that is something that causes a lot of problems, and needed just beware Deoxys-D possessing Magic Coat, moreover it can also wreak havoc causing not only a Suicide lead, Stealth Rock after the play I have the custom to keep him alive if necessary even in the match, Terrakion fit very well in the team being better than Aerodactyl and Azelf already been tested in this slot.

.::THE END::.

Hey, good looking team you have here, i have a couple of suggestions for you.
First I think running a Toxic Spikes Tentacruel would be a lot more useful, as it helps to deal with a lot of threats, such as Kyurem-B (particularly this one) or SubCM Keldeo which has pretty neat set up opportunities on Politoed and Tentacruel. Then, you might wanna use a Leech Seed plus Stealth Rock Ferrothorn in the place of Thundurs, which is a bit redundant with Jirachi. Ferrothorn being a trustable steel pokémon, basically is a good switch to Lati@s (which your team definitely lacks) and will make the work a lot easier against Dragons in general (although some of them run fighting moves). Terrakion appreciates not needing SR anymore, as you'll be able to focus it more on one of its best interest in the team, reliably beat Chansey and blissey. Those changes make Breloom more dangerous, but you can play it around with t-spikes (I assume techniloom is the most seen around), or even try and put sludge bomb on Tenta's set (I've done it once and it worked pretty well as they never expected it).
Last thing you could do is running Psychock instead of Psychic on jirachi, and wish instead of substitute to be able to win CM wars, SubTias and reuniclus being huge threats.
Also, is the name "Shenlong" from Blody Roar ? :3

Hope I helped :).

Hey :) this is a solid team, your pokemon already have good sinergy so i cant change anything whitout worsening your team. Something that you can try however is Modest on Thundurus, there is no specifical reason to do that, i just think that you can do more damage and after an agility you will outspeed everything anyway. I also think that you should not run Hydro pump on Politoed because if you miss on something like Sword dance Terrakion then you are really in trouble; in general i think that if you can use something that can not miss its always better, i lost so many battle due to focus blast so i recommend everyone to use accurate moves. well, thats it, nothing much to say, gl with your team.

As with many teams, Mamoswine does a big number, with 2 weak to ice, 2 weak to ground (Terrakion is weak, too, but no Mamoswine would stay in on it). The Jolly Banded and Adamant Scarfed versions are the worst, and will handily take out many members of your team.

Hi man! Nice team i can see here! :) I think that you could make few adjustment to make it better!
First, i think that thundurus would be better with a modest nature, that can give him some more power without losing so much speed (after agility you'll be able to outspeed almost everything).
Second, i would change psychic into psyshock, that is definetly better cause it can help you durino the calm mind war (with latias, other rachi and so on).
Third, i would change politoed moveset, giving him surf over HP and encore over perish song. I think scarf perishsong is not as good as the perish song on the bulky version, encore instead would be great to take your opponent unprepaired and stop some of their sweeper! Surf is just recommended for accuracy: in this team politoed MUST kill the opponent because it's the fastest poke of your team and so it's too important to not miss that move!
Lastly i suggest you to usa superpower over earthquake on dnite! In this way you can hit ferro (that can give you some problem to you're jirachi sweep if it has bulldoze) and you can hit better tyranitar and balontran!

I thank all the rating for being good looking will answer everything here, had considered Psyshock for this reason but I chose Psychic to kill things like Gliscor and Landorus-T, will test Psyshock, the nature and Modest surely better in my Thundurus-T 'll change, Neliel, Hydro Pump and extremely important because I need a lot of damage and Surf ultimately unable to cause the same damage as the Hydro Pump lot of times leaving me in complicated situations

Hey there, cool team.Other than spinning I don't feel Tentacruel has a purpose being here.It just kills the offensive momentum and it's poor offensive presence can easily be exploited which will be disaster for a team like yours(like DDnite or DD Mence with EQ setting up,you have things to get around them but not reliably).I would suggest Starmie in place of Tentacruel not only because of it's offensive presence but also because of it's speed. You're team is somewhat slow to exact and you are basically forced to use Toed for revenge killing fast threats like SD Terrak and friends which is not good since toed is you're valuable weather setter. So a starmie would be very helpful for revenge killing and act as a fast water spammer.

Again,I would recommend Psyshock instead of Psychic on Jirachi as CMers like Latias are a big threat to this team.Lando-T and Gliscor are likely to switch in on Dragonite most of the time and lose a chunk of health anyway before dealing with Jirachi.I,too suggest changing Thundurus-T's nature to Modest since the extra power will come in handy when sweeping.

Good Luck and I hope I helped.

Hi there,

Pretty solid Rain Team, but you do seem a little weak to quite a few of the common threats in today's metagame. Right now, you do seem overly reliant on Scarf Politoed + Band Dragonite to do a lot of the revenging for you, mainly because you lack a way around opposing Thundurus-T / Tornadus-T. This is mainly down to the fact you really don't have a defensive backbone, as even your Tentacruel has trouble switching into Terrakion and Scizor given that you've decided to compromise your bulk. I think a Specially Defensive Jirachi would work over your current set. It may be a fairly generic change, but I feel like it'd do a world of good for your team, mainly giving you a reliable switch for Tornadus-T as well as an additional check for Thundurus-T. It can also pass big Wishes to Terrakion keeping its Focus Sash intact, and to Thundurus to compensate for having to switch in and out of Stealth Rock in times when you can't Spin. Not to mention it also beats Latios, but more importantly Latias, so you don't need to be in constant Calm Mind wars. If you choose to run Stealth Rock on it, it would open up a moveslot on Terrakion to run a different move or even a different set, but that's more preference than anything.

Additionally, I noticed something on your Politoed set. Personally, I don't really think Focus Blast is all that good on Scarf Politoed, especially as you can't even 2HKO Ferrothorn as it switches in, which really is the main reason to use Focus Blast. I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with Envydrill's suggestions, and that you should keep Perish Song, but I think you should try Surf out in place of Focus Blast. Perish Song is an excellent way to force out Latias and other boosters when Jirachi is weakened, while Surf is really nice to have alongside Hydro Pump, so you still have the choice of power vs accuracy and do not have to rely on Hydro Pump all the time.

One more thing, I don't really understand your current Tentacruel set. Right now you're not really outspeeding anything significant, while you're just wasting some extra bulk. It's minimal yes, but when you're constantly using Tentacruel as a buffer for U-Turns and such, it quickly racks up. If you're running some Speed investment on your Tentacruel, then I'd suggest changing your set to 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 Spe, as with this set and a Timid Nature you outspeed everything up to Jolly Mamoswine, something that others have mentioned as a bit threat to your team. With this, you just get the jump on it, while retaining some extra bulk. Between Tentacruel + Terrakion + Scarf Politoed, you should have enough insurance against it, to the extent where it's not that much of a problem anymore.

Good luck!

hey try forretress over tentacruel. He guarentees at least one use of rocks or rapid spin. Then, you could free a space from Terrakion. With that said, you could also free the taunt space on terrakion and add that to thunderous over HP ice. my personal opinion is that thunderous should only need that for revenge killing a dragon... but you have nutral damage to a dragon with focus blast. Thats ur call. If you do do all this, try choice scarf / Band. Scarf is my pick for a revenge kill because terrakion has sick offensive stats and he has awesome coverage. Speaking of choice band, Terrakion is a better abuser in my opinion over Dragonite. A standard Dragon Dance set may be good. But in the end it is all up to you! Luv your team and I wanna see you succeed!

Hey Miles Tails,

Nice team. Firstly, I don't think using Terrakion as a suicide lead is what's best for the team. Seeing how, if you want to sweep with Jirachi/Dragonite/Thundurus late game, you'll need to get rid of walls like Chansey/Jirachi. Dragonite fails to OHKO Chansey with Outrage, while (almost) every team has an immunitie to ground, making it extremely risky to lock yourself into Earthquake. A solution could be changing your Terrakion set to a Life Orb one. This way you can OHKO both Jirach and Chansey after a Volt Switch from Thundurus-T, allowing you to sweep much easier with Jirachi or Thundurus. You can decide to put Swords Dance > Taunt on Terrakion so it can sweep itself late game.

Next up, I noticed a weakness to SD Toxicroak, being able to KO most of your team with Sucker Punch at +2. Dragonite's extremespeed doesn't do enough to KO Toxicroak, even after Life Orb damage. Your only answer to Toxicroak is Jirachi's Psyshock. Sucker Punch still does 53-63% to Jirachi, while Cross Chop can easily break your sub. So if your opponent carries Tornadus-T + Toxicroak, that could spell trouble. I therefore think Jirachi could use some recovery in the form of Wish > Substitute. This allows it to recover Hp after taking out Toxicroak, since Jirachi is really important vs opposing rain. Wish also has great synergy with Dragonite allowing it to get back up his Multiscale. Wish will also make winning the weather war easier. Choice scarf Politoed is very frail and can't really switch into anything except Fire attacks. With Wish politoed will last longer.

Lastly, I think giving Jirachi a custom ev set will work better. Using enough speed to outspeed max speed Jolly Toxicroak and putting the rest into special defense to it can take Hurricanes/Draco Meteors more easily. Giving it less speed EVs wont really matter since it won't really miss outspeeding the likes of Hydreigon / Xatu / Etc. A ev spread of 252 HP / 120 Sp Def / 136 Spe will do just that. the speed EVs allow Jirachi to reach 297 speed, so it still outspeeds Rotom-w. Hope I helped. Good luck !
