Tournament WCAP Format Discussion

prob too ass to even be playing but my opinion is like

you could omit oras and BW cap if you’re worried about signups, but I feel like CAPPL tiers are fine enough

Please don't include bw/dpp. Even in cappl half of their pools dont promise good quality.
I think 6 slots with SV/SV/SV/SS/SM/ORAS is more 'manageable' for all teams in terms of prep, and as a result you should have a higher quality tour.

I support a Fairy Gens version of the tournament. Or opt to add some lower tiers, like UU/DOU or LC
Option 1: looks funny, and tbh i would like try cap uu.

Honestly I really want WCAP to succeed because I love CAP. But wasn't one of the points of WCAP to get more people to play CAP under a unified country/region? So why are we adding more tiers without any consideration?
Unfortunately, the CAP community is significantly smaller than any of the lower tiers' communities. In those WCoP discussions threads, there's always a major concern that the teams are unbalanced if they add lower tiers. But we should be concerned whether smaller teams can form at all. In that sense, we are more comparable to the oldgens WCoPs, which have all used 6x OU (RBY, DPP, BW).
I think we should only stick to SV OU (and fairy gens). Having most of the slots be the same format tremendously helps smaller countries collaborate, and there are much more resources for SV OU and fairy gens (outside of CAP). I think these are the only formats that are even viable for WCoP. I would like to see 3/4x SV OU, SS OU, SM OU, and maybe ORAS OU, but I think you could go further with all SV OU.
(For rosters, I've seen 2-4 subs per region allowed. 6 slots would require 8-10 players per country, while 8 slots requires 10-12.)

Imo this is the dream option, supporting the lower tiers can realistically just be done by passing or giving players the SM OU rain sample. Actually no, the dream option is 6 SM but alas, that'll never win. Fr tho don't add DPP and BW, those pools are already abysmal if we're being completely honest and DPP in particular sucks even with a good pool! My opinion for doing WCAP is already known, so might as well suggest for SM so I get to play it more.
