Hello I am The Darkhorse Trainer a.k.a. Twilight Link on Shoddybattle. I had recently come up with a team and wanted to test it out on Shoddy. So I cliced the find match tab and who comes up? Imperfectluck.
Now, I don't post on Smogon very often, but I do know who Imperfectluck is. He is one of the best battlers on Smogon. Previously I had faced only one of Smogon's best battlers. That was Hipmonlee and I promptly got my ass handed to me. So you can bet I wasn't feeling too confident. My goal going into the battle was just to not make a fool of myself. During the course of the battle, my objective changed.

Maybe it's the decreasing Electivire usage that makes nobody expects him anymore or maybe it's just that nobody considers him a threat. Either way, I successfully pull this manuever off. Electivire can now deal some pretty decent damage. At the very least, Zapdos will switch.

Now I'll be the first to tell you that I haven't really studied up on the new Rotom forms so I don't know much about them. The only thing I know is that they're defensive-oriented and they retained their electric-ghost typing. Anyway the freeze was nice. Try not to laugh too hard at this next move.

One of the stupidest mistakes I've done in a battle in a long time. I opted for flamethrower because I thought it would do a little more damage. I really lost my mind for a second. So anyway, I'm in a worse position now, with Rotom-H in full health. I opt to go with ice punch this time.

Damn I was really hoping that would kill it. However, the pursuit served its purpose as now Blissey was severely crippled. But now Tyranitar was in danger so it was not safe to keep him in. Especially when I'm now locked into pursuit. I switch to Vaporeon, expecting a waterfall.

I took a look at the scoreboard and I was really into this battle now. I was leading Imperfectluck, the Imperfectluck, 5-3. This was when the thought of me winning first entered my head and I started getting excited.

Swampert again. I took a look at my remaining pokemon and took a status report. Scizor could take Swampert's hits well but would then just get roared so he was no good. Same applied for Registeel. He couldn't do much damage without curse and would just get roared away before I can set up too much. And Medicham is frail as hell so he isn't going to be switching into much. I decide to do as much damage as I can and use Tyranitar's last moments to have it go down fighting.

Damn I was really hoping that would kill it. However, the pursuit served its purpose as now Blissey was severely crippled. But now Tyranitar was in danger so it was not safe to keep him in. Especially when I'm now locked into pursuit. I switch to Vaporeon, expecting a waterfall.

Imperfectluck outsmarted me on that one. Vaporeon was not in a very good position right now. I was now in the same position I was in with Electivire. If I switched, Vaporeon would just die anyway because of stealth rock and sandstorm. I have no other choice so I just wish.

I was a little surprised he didn't keep swampert in, but now I'm not complaining. I know I can kill Blissey and get that pink blob out of my mind for the rest of the battle. What's better is I'll get the benefit of the wish too.

I took a look at the scoreboard and I was really into this battle now. I was leading Imperfectluck, the Imperfectluck, 5-3. This was when the thought of me winning first entered my head and I started getting excited.

Swampert again. I took a look at my remaining pokemon and took a status report. Scizor could take Swampert's hits well but would then just get roared so he was no good. Same applied for Registeel. He couldn't do much damage without curse and would just get roared away before I can set up too much. And Medicham is frail as hell so he isn't going to be switching into much. I decide to do as much damage as I can and use Tyranitar's last moments to have it go down fighting.

I was in a predicament here. I wasn't sure exactly how I should proceed. He had protect so Medicham would just end up hurting himself and Registeel couldn't put much of a dent in him. I decide to go to Scizor knowing full well that I was going to be roared.

Here is where I make a mistake that almost costed me the battle. I temporarily forgot that Swampert had protect and I stuipidly use high jump kick.

I start to worry a little. Imperfectluck was starting to gain momentum of this battle. I could not switch to either Medicham to Scizor because I could not afford to let them take hits. I resolve to have Registeel take the fall as he was the least useful of my remaining pokemon right now.

This battle was going to come right down to the wire. I switched to Medicham because if I switched to Scizor, I was going to get roared.

I didn't notice how low Medicham was on hp. I had forgot that hi jump kic had takene a huge toll on Medicham. He is going to protect while poison and sandstorm killed me. Psycho Cut was my best option here.

Here he is. Forretress. The fact that he switched Forretress in, gives it away that his Forretress has explosion. This is his last ditched effort for victory. I know that explosion won't kill me unless its a critical hit so I decide to set up further with swords dance.

Wow. What a great battle. I still cannot believe that I won. If me and imperfectluck battled 100 times, he would probably beat me 99 of them. This battle was that 1 other battle.
