Who here uses UU pokes in higher tiers?

I used to use Azumarill on some of my advance teams.

Haven't really gotten a chance to dip below BL this gen, though. Once I was swept by a Special Nidoking, though. XD
 
I've used Toxicroak for the heck of it once, and I still use Belly linoone in my actual team. Even if he doesn't get his oppurtunity to sweep, STAB extremespeed still comes in handy.
 
Toxicroak is deadly, I've never used him myself, but my brother does. I use scarfed masquerain as my lead, It actually works pretty well, and intimidate is a bonus.

OMG, what do you use? I've always wanted to use it, but I didn't know what to run on it.
 
Although it isn't UU, Tentacruel. I've been using it since R/B (before yellow!).

I used a Beedrill on my competetive team. Choice Scarf! lol it can OHKO a Jynx with U-Turn. Not to mention outspeed EVERYTHING.

It couldn't switch into stuff though. Made a decent lead I guess.

Choice Band Onix sucked, but it was cool.


Sweeper Mawile. Iron Head / Ice Fang / Sucker Punch / Swords Dance. (intimidate). Little bastard switches into physical hits it resists, then starts hitting stuff. With Shucca Berry it can beat a Garchomp one on one (Ice Fang + Sucker Punch)

Its the fast hard hitter of the bugs,Aerial Ace gained a nice bonus with Technician(why it doesn't learn Bug Bite?With technician it would be stronger than X-Scissor and it would have a REAL nice effect)and it gets Swords Dance,Agility and can pass everything.It's so cool that i use in every team i have.
 
Nice to see there are people being creative with their teams rather than using the same pokes everyone and their grandmother uses. =P I've always had interest in stuff like Ampharos, and I loved my Beedrill in FireRed, even though it's just a team trained poke I used in the main game.
 
As an answer to the question, generally:
No I do not. I mostly use things like Heracross and Blissey and Garchomp (also my favorite pokemon) in OU, as they are OU and thus the strongest pokemon available. UU pokemon are gimmicky and not really that useful in OU... Mostly.
Specifically:
I do, rarely, but things such as Toxicroak, Honchkrow, and Dustox even have helped my team more than some OU pokemon could.

Hydro Pump

You could specs it if you want, but it would be really slow and die fast. Just be careful of Gyarados. but it can take out hippodons and bulky waters in one hit.
 
Blastoise. One of my favorite Pokemon and a generally useful spinner. I end up dumping a LOT into his defenses to use him as a Physical wall in combination with Venusaur (Special Wall, catches lightning for Blastoise easily).


Past that I was surprised to see that the remaining 5 pokemon I use often are either OU or Borderline. Guess I wasn't as original as I thought when I decided not to use Blissey, Salamence, and Tyranitar.
 
I used Hitmontop on my most successful team so far. Technician with fake out, mach punch, close combat and bullet punch. Very effective.
