Wii Virtual Console Guide

ive neglected this thread recently,

I can't blame you; the recent releases have been so uninspiring. I can't remember the last time I saw an exciting title...just a horde of Turbografix games. :(

Oddly the N64 only seems to have well known/acceptedly good titles in the vc library at the moment? I mean pretty much every game there I reckon I would enjoy (never owned a n64).

Also I'd really appreciate if someone could add their experiences to my question at the top of this page

Shining Force is always a fun play. Its only good for a few times, but its an excellent RPG for virtual console. My favorite game on the console by far. If you want to talk about huge overworlds and such this is your kind of game.

EARTHBOUND HAS BEEN RATED BY THE ESRB AND SHOULD BE RELEASED ON VIRTUAL CONSOLE IN THE NEAR FUTURE!

Thats amazing, now I don't have to use stupid ROMs anymore. With near future, how long do you think it means?

i dont know, but it was probably too much for me to use "near future"... i mean, Super Mario RPG has been ESRB rated for ages now, since almost the start of the VC's life, and that still hasnt been released. unfortunately, its impossible to say or predict when it will be released...

It's quite sad that they make us wait, it's not like it hurts them at all by releasing them. We could use both SMRPG and Earthbound. Maybe a Japanese Fire Emblem turned English too.

well i imagine earthbound will be released sooner, since its actually owned by nintendo. the super mario RPG thing dabbles into 3rd party territory...

I would definitely buy Earthbound, they got to release it, there has been really few good games in this year, and i think they should bring this and Mario RPG, that would be the shit.

Go Ness.

haha yeah when I saw "hanabi festival 2" I was scrolling down the list slowly thinking
"earthbound earthbound earthbound earthbound"

Talking about Mario RPG, where is Square's love?. is not like they will even release a final fantasy because they re-make them to death anyway, but what happened to Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana(<-salamando), Super Mario Rpg etc etc?, will they even hit the VC?.

Psssh. Earthboud on VC is worthless to me....

My SNES version is still working :-p If you don't got an SNES version, buy the damn game when it comes out.

Nice e_e
My old megadrive is gathering dust and probably still works but alot of my playstation games don't work on my ps2 beause they scratch easily. Stupid discs.
That was the reason I lost Digimon World and marvel super heroes :(

yeah, I'm hoping to get it from eBay sone time soon. For some reason when I was watching youtube videos of it the most nostalgic thing was the SFX, lol. But yeah it was great.
Other than that I really loved tombi (really unique platformer where you jump into the foreground at some points and play it like a different area or theyd be connected x) the point of the game was to eliminate seven evil pigs), crash bandicoot and bust-a-move 2 arcade edition (heh)
Playstation had some good shit, shame really that the only game I have memories of on the megadrive was sonic

You and I have very similar tastes, Steelicks. I disagree with you on Sonic 1 being better than the second, however. The graphics are better, it has a great soundtrack, you can charge up your sommersaults, and it has co-op.

Some of the stages were kinda repetitive in Sonic 3. The different abilities you got from shields were neat though.
