Dear genisu,
You are David Goggins.
David Goggins does seem to have led an interesting life. A victim of extreme targeted racism during his upbringing, David decided to join the military shortly after. Which is certainly a case study in how the military seems to attract those who are most vulnerable and oppressed and then sends them to die, but I’m actually not infusing this role with my pacifism. Instead, I’m focussing on David Goggins’ extremely prolific running career. Boy can run.
[Passive 1: Nyoooooom]
David Goggins runs a lot. He’s been called a “Hero of Running” by Runner’s World, and if anyone knows running it’s surely the world of runners. He’s run 241 miles before. That’s literally unnecessary, idk what else to say besides good job?
Your role is one that behaves as a long-distance runner’s role should. That is to say, your abilities unlock as the game progresses. Since an ultramarathon is in no way consistent, though, whenever a new ability unlocks, the previous ability you had will lock. The first new “phase” of your role will happen when 5 players die, where Active 1 will lock and Active 2 will unlock. The second “phase” of your role will happen when 11 players die, where Active 2 will lock and Active 3 will unlock.
[Active 1: Alert, Energised, Observant]
[LOCKED]
[Active 2: Steady, Cognisant, Aware]
In stage 2 of an ultramarathon your energy’s certainly depleting. You can still take stock of what’s going on but you’d certainly miss things if you tried to stay aware of the full scene around you. In fact, it’s probably best if you just concentrate on one guy.
At night you may target another player with “Night X -- Laser Focus on [PLAYER1]’s Pace”. You will concentrate on PLAYER1 and track their movements, learning which player(s) they target tonight.
[Active 3: Just. Move.]
[LOCKED]. This ability will unlock when 11 player die.
You are Town. You win when all mafia are dead.
