Winter Is Coming!

Introduction
First of all i would like to thank Delko and the team "Christmas Hail" without me playing a few matches with that team i would have not made such a cool hail team. Me using that team let me see how a succesfull hail team plays and provided me with the foundation to build my team the way i want it to be. I have been wanting to make a good hail team for ages and i think i have finally got one. I am not saying this team is perfect however and that is one of the reasons why i have posted this team so enjoy! Alson my final thanks goes to anyone who has ever created a hail team before. They truely are fun teams to use
Hail and its Uses On My Team
Hail is the 4th forgotten weather effect. I decided to make a hail team because 1. i love ice types and 2. i love underused strategies so it made perfect sense for me to make a hail team! Hails main benefits are the 6.25% damage on the end of each turn to all non-ice types and the 100% accurate Blizzard. These are the Two benefits my team posses to use hail to its advantage. Additionally pokemon with the ability snow cloak get a 20% evasion boost and pokemon with ice body recover 6.25% at the end of each turn. My team is a Hail stall team which is really great. The reason why it is really great is because Hail damages all but ice types at the end of each turn unlike sandstorm that doesnt damage rock/steel/ground types. Also Ice types are generally rare thus making hail stall a little bit easier. it is also worthy to note that hail is most effective if you dont have a great amount of ice types, thus making your team have minimal weakneses. My team is ussually played with me trying to get Hail up and set up T-spikes and Stealth rock from there i will try to wall my opponent hits and Phaze them with my Defensive core of Breloom/Heatran/Latias. when my opponents team is weaknend then Latias comes in to finsh the fight or Breloom.
Team Building Process
My team has gone through quite a bit of changes so and at one point i had to start from scratch with Abomasnow and Tentacruel.

I then needed a spinblocker jellicent didnt synergize well with tentacruel so i decided on spiritomb i decision i do not regret as i found out many more uses for this underated poke.

Up next for me was a pokemon that coulde set up spikes and bring some more resitances to hails weaknesses i settled upon Ferrothorn although he amplifyes my fire and fighting he resists steel and rock.

Now i wanted a more speically inclined wall that could rid my team of nasty status i thought and quickly came up with the two best options blissey and chansey. I ended up going with Blisey because Chansey would eventaully get worn down by Hail and Blissey wouldnt due to leftovers. Also Blisseys Offensive stats are more respectable making her able to run Blizzard effectivly.

Finally i needed a good Physicall wall and a pokemon that could set up stealth rocks and phaze. i fell upon Mew because i have used a similar set for my previous team.

After Playing a few Matches i realized my team was very weaked to tyranitar. a mixed T-Tar could run through my whole team with ease so i kicked out Mew for swampert. a poke who filled the exact same roles Physicall wall, stealth rocks and phazing. except he can take on tyranitar and abuse Blizzard under hail.

Next i realized it takes to long settig up all the hazards and i dont have enough spots on my team for actaull stalling pokes. i realized spikes isnt exactly essential so i swapped out Ferrothorn for the almighty sigilyph after i saw somebody sweep me with it.

Sableye was suggested to me by alot of people in the comments and in the poll. as much as i love spiritomb i had to let it go for Sableye due to the support sableye brings

bubbly suggested me getting a steel type to help against dragons so i went with Heatran. Heatran provides a very sturdy core with Swampert and Sigilyph and has a fire immunity

Although Sigilyphs sttus absorbing and Burn spreading is helpful i already have Sableye to spread the burns with WoW and Sigilyphs Rock weakness doesnt really do this team justice so i went back to using my favourite pokemon which i used in my previous team Latias. with levitate she is still immune to T-spikes spikes and earth moves. also her sweeping capabilities are greater then Sigilyphs

Now with a few adjustments to my team i kicked out Swampert as he was uneeded and put in Breloom a poke that is great to patch up weaknesses and is a great status absorber with poison heal

Abomasnows nickname is a reference to the title "Winter Is Coming" and the season winter, due to winter being typically cold and snowy. this ABomasnow is sttraight out of the Christmas Hail RMT and i reccomend it this set when building a hail team. in my opinion Leech Seed is essential on any Abomasnow set due to it being his only form of reliable recovery. A combination of leftovers Protect and Leech Seed can help increase Abomasnows longetivity. Although situational a combination of Leech Seed hail damage and a Pokemon poisoned by Toxic Spikes can really drain an enemys Hp stat quickly. Protect is a great scouting move i often use first turn, due to getting lefties recovery while my opponent possibly loses Hp to hail damage. Wood Hammer is a High power stab attack that i use when i think my opponent is switching to either Politoed or Tyranitar. Finally Ice Shard is used for stab priority and the nifty bonus of hitting alot of dragon types very hard in OU

Squidward (Tentacruel) (M) @ Black Sludge

Tentacruels nickname is a refrence to Squidward of spongebob. in my opionion Tentacruel is essential in all 5th gen hail teams due to resisting 5 of Abomasnows weaknesses bug, Poison, fire, steel and fighting and being able to provide toxic spikes support. He is also a good rain counter. This set is also Straight out of the Christmas Hail RMT (aside from Liquid Ooze)as it is a Tentacruel set geared towards Hail Stall. Tentacruel is my rapid spinner and getting stealth rocks of my side of the field for Abomasnow is awesome. Scald is boosted in the rain which is good against rain teams. but its main benefit is its nifty chance to burn the opponent. Finally Blizzards becaus ethis is a hail team. the speed evs let it out speed unbboosted Dragonite and can OHKO with Blizzard after Stealth Rock damage. an liquid ooze helps against ferros and conkledurrs

Gem (Sableye) (M) @ Lagging Tail

Sabeleye`s nickname is a reference to the to gems that are used as his eyes. also because gems happen to be extremely valuable and so is Sableye for this team. Sableye is important because he is the spinblocker. he makes sure my opponent cant get a rapid spin off much like spiritomb. although lacks the sweeping capabilities that spiritomb posses`s he makes up for it in utility. having priority status to stop pokemon setting up is great due to Gliscor, Scizor and Terrakion being huge threats to my team. He can also cripple the afromentioned threats with wilo wisp which is awesome to have. Sableye is also immune to reuniculus`s Focus Blast and Pyschic which is great as Reuniculus is generally the biggest threat to stall teams. priority recover means Sableye will last longer and Trick is to give Lagging tail to faster threats like Latios and making it easier for Breloom to set up on stuff.

Golden (Latias) (F) @ Leftovers

Ahh Latias my favourite pokemon and this is my favourite moveset for her. if you have seen my last team you might be wondering why i am using her again with the exact same set. The Awnser is simple this set is so damn effective and works great on a stall team. Although Sigilyph was a fun and creative choice to use unfortunatly i had to let him go because it has a weakness to rock and elctricity which was really holding my team back. anyway this set works on setting up calm minds on even the hardest hitters on the physicall side of things. Reflect helps with this alot and also is great to boost my teams defense for 5 turns. Recover is for obvious Hp recovery and Dragon Pulse is a move that gets stab that is only resisted by steel. here are some damage calcs with reflect up if you have doubts.
Max Attack Choice Band Tyranitar Pusruit; 23.6%-28.5%
Max Attack Choice Band Tyranitar Crunch 47.8%-56.5%
* its important to note Tyranitars will Usaully go for Pursuit because they think i am goig to switch and when i reveall reflect it is to late they are locked into Pursuit
Max Attack Choice Band Scizor Pursuit 23.2%-28.0%
Max Attack Choice Band U- Turn 41.2%-48.3%
*its Important to note in using U-Turn Latias genrally gets a free turn to recover.
So Latias is a great addition to this team and although she may not be the most unpredictable pokemon. This set is somewhat rare thus making it effective

Spotty (Heatran) (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Flash Fire

Heatrans nicknaem is a reference to the spots on his skin. Heatran is a great pokemon to have on a hail team because of its ability flash fire giving him boosted power for his fire attacks when he gets hit by a fire type move. Heatran forms my defensive core alongside Breloom and Latias. Lava plume is Heatrans main attacking move that gets stab and a 30% burn rate. Earthpower is there just for coverage and has a nice chance to lowen speical defense. Heatran has Roar to stop set up sweepers and to rack up entry hazard damage. and finally Stealth rock because it is essential on any team and is easy to set up with the switches Heatran causes.

1 Up (Breloom) (M) @ Toxic Orb

Brelooms nickname is a reference to the 1 up mushrooms in mario. Breloom is great to have on a hail team espiecally mine. With toxic orb and Poison heal Breloom still has leftovers recovery rate which is great. his Subseed set helps tear holes through Blissey and Tyranitar two otherwise problematic pokemon for my team. Breloom brings a nice rock resist and awesome stab Focus Punch to wreck steel types aswell as many others that give Hail some problems. He also works great in conjunction with my Sableye as my Sableye can Trick Lagging tail on a pokemon making it slow enough to be set up on. Often my opponents would forget about lagging tail and think there faster and that is when Breloom starts is SubPunch cycle. Seedbomb is another stab there mainly for Bulky waters. I run Jolly nature because i want to set up on as much things a possible. The evs are to give Breloom as Much BUlk as possible which works great with this team. Breloom can afford to be slow espiecally when Sableye has Tricked Lagging tail onto a pokemon.
Importable (for all you people who like to test out teams before you rate and also to anyone who thinks this is a fun team to use!)

Conclusion
So thank you for reading! any advice will be considered carefully as long as this team stays as a hail stall team. If you really liked this team please leave a Luvdisc because that would be great! This team is really fun to use i love it when people forfiet to my Latias sweeping. Thankyou to anyone who has or is going to help because you might possibly have helped me change my team for the better! Hail Teams are Awesome they are the only OU weather i am intrested in at the moment and this is my first proper shot of Weather in 5th gen OU. even if you have nothing to criticise please post your thoughts. I may do a threat list in the future.
