Woobat is one of the most terrifying cleaners Little Cup has to offer thanks to Simple and Grassy Seed, giving it huge boosts to both of its defenses and its Special Attack after just one turn of setup. Pokemon like Onix and Mudbray are cleanly OHKOed by Stored Power after a boost, and Heat Wave gives Woobat coverage for the Dark-types that can handle Stored Power, most notably Pawniard. Roost in combination with the Defense boosts from Grassy Seed makes Woobat very difficult to take down, especially because its item being used up means that Knock Off is less powerful against it, so it can usually accrue multiple boosts and sweep with ease. Grookey is pretty much mandatory for Woobat as a partner in order to set Grassy Terrain for Woobat's Grassy Seed. Stealth Rock support from the likes of Onix and Pawniard is also very appreciated, as Woobat can more easily muscle through checks like Vullaby and Scraggy at +4 if the hazard is in play. Sticky Web support from Dewpider is also useful; while Woobat doesn't appreciate Pawniard getting an Attack boost from Defiant, it severely limits potential revenge killing attempts from the likes of Onix and Staryu.

and it also has the benefit of being good at weakening Vullaby, one of Woobat's best checks.

wouldn't really say that grookey does a particularly good job at breaking vull, as you give it a chance to now outspeed woobat with it's weak armor.

I'd also like included that the most popular dark STAB is weakened because woobat uses it item immediately upon hitting the field.

Very solid, hard to find much of anything wrong with it.
