Your Evil Team

Name:
  • Eh, is Magma, Aqua, Galactic (Galaxy in the original Japanese), Plasma, Flare, and Yell any more original? As long as it's fitting the team its as good as a name as any.
  • Of course, the problem I more see with it is that, if Cyber wants to keep it's nose low, maybe don't have the villain team you made share the name of your main business. "Gee, I wonder if Team Cyber works with Cyber Industries, there seems to be a connection there but I can't quite put my finger on it". Like, if I was the leader (assuming the leader of Cyber Industries is also the leader of Team Cyber, or even just a higher-up), to try and cover my tracks I would have named the team something like "Team Glitch" and have it appear as cyber terrorists who are attacking Cyber Industries. Cyber Industries looked to have done something sketchy? Cyber Industries PR be like "We're sorry for the misunderstanding. The recent security breach was caused by none other than Team Glitch. We're currently investigating but nothing seems to have been taken or damaged by those hooligans"; meanwhile Cyber Industries stole valuable data.

But overall seems pretty good start of a villain team concept. The "no one investigating them makes it out alive" feels a bit too much, not saying it shouldn't be there but something "lighter" like met with unfortunate accidents that left the lucky ones just incapacitated & scared off (hinting a worse fate for the unlucky without directly mentioning it).

A bit vague on the details, like what exactly makes them a villain team aside people being suspicious of a deeper secret? Working with the other villain team to try and maintain peace? That just sounds like them doing damage control because they can't really do anything else to stop the villain team; just like how the Aether Foundation merely chases off Team Skull instead of using their resources to apprehend the grunts and take them to the police to properly arrest them. I know you're trying to keep things vague, but being this thread is about them being a villain team don't need to be subtle with their true motivations.

Would be a fun twist, Ardos is still out there and their operation in Orre is kaput at this point (and its implied anyway that Cipher had other operations in other regions, Orre was just where they were doing their Shadow Pokemon research). Also, aside from Miror B, the status of the Admins from both games whether they're still part of Cipher is up in the air. Dakim and Venus don't say anything pointing one way or another, & Ein sounds like he's still with Cipher swearing revenge against Wes for ruining their plans; Also note none of these admins appear again in XD. The odd thing about the XD Admins is that the last thing they say to the player is how they've grown to respect them and give them a title not showing hostility (unlike Ardos who labels Michael as "Cipher's Biggest Enemy" and warns Cipher will be tracking him): Lovrina says she's starting a fan club with the player being the first member, Snattle still has goals to become the Governor of Orre and says one he does he'll make the player his secretary (which I can't imagine will happen if he was still part of Orre), and Gorigan just says he respects the player and considers him a friend; they all sorta sound like they quit Cipher though I guess they could have this respect for Michael and still be part of Cipher elsewhere).

Though honestly I'd prefer a third Colosseum game. I've of course came up with my own idea what it's story will be about and how it connects to the previous two, but this isn't the thread for that.
As someone who doesn’t have much access, if any, to the GameCube saga, I feel like my descriptions of these characters could be a lot better. I know who all of those people are you mentioned, but don’t know much about their history outside of a few YouTube videos I’ve watched of each game. This is actually part of why I want to play both games so much, so I can learn more about them all.

As for the Agency and Cyber Industries, my ideas for each group are still wildly up in the air. Every time I try and come up with a new idea, I end up ditching it later on. If this helps anything, my region’s lore is all about multiple realities and the technology that connects them. The Agency’s President turns out to be one of a select few people known as a Creator, someone who is chosen from the real world to monitor the activities of the imagination. The catch is that they’re actually guarding a sort of gateway between realities.

Team Overflow.
Goal is using some electric type legendary to increase power supply without affecting the environment. The catch is that it needs a big place to take over their power supply which means increasing the electricity to dangerous amounts, destroying the city. Early game they are caught trying to steal some houses' electricity.

Leader Bolt (uncreative name ik) A bad tempered yellow haired man that is angry about the increase of pollution who early-mid game talks about power supply problems to the protagonist.
Admin 1: Adhira, she is calm and professional, a contrast to Gale and she even offers the player mercy several times before battling them.
Admin 2: Gale: He is rude and annoying and tends to get on the leader's nerves. He is obnoxious to the player and even taunts the player when the leader is about to kill them after them finding out the secrets of the team.
Obviously specialises in electric types but they also like to use psychic, ground and steel types due to being good against poison. Also grass because they care for the environment.
Adhiras team: Malamar, Excadrill, Breloom, Mega Ampharos
Hadad's team: Gallade, Whiscash, Ferrothorn, Mega Manetric
Bolt's team: Sigilyph, Toxtricity, Trevenant, Aggron, Krookodile, Mega Vikavolt (which is basically just 135 speed and 155 sp atk vikavolt this is not taking into consideration game balancing or whatever I just wanted him to have an ace as vikavolt)
Quite similar to macro cosmos and too related to irl ik (call this idea stupid or unrealistic or w/e idrc lol)

I have another group of villains for a Pokemon fangame idea I had. I don't have a name for them, but they used to be top dogs in a corrupt region. They'd push people around, rig elections, steal things, and in general make peoples' lives terrible. Unless you're on their good side, of course. And stay that way. They're also pretty competent battlers in their region, so that combined with the corruption made it hard for anyone who cared to stand up to them. However, I said they used to be top dogs. They're now being pushed out by company (that's a front for that conspiracy organization I mentioned on the first page) that has been gaining rapid ground and influence in the region. The team's leader is especially pissed off about this: the political head of the region threw the team's leader under the bus for a "better offer". And this leader has a position of great renown in the region and is really quite the battle. He's eventually defeated at the Gran Championship place of the region and arrested by the company. The player never hears from him again and the team basically is reduced to a single town, if that, by the end.

This would make more sense if I where to explain the customs and the like of the region, but this might not be the place for that. There's no real heroes in the end of this story though. Sure, some of the company's employees might not be corrupt and most are not in on the conspiracy, but still, the company serves an even more nefarious organization.

And I guess I should give the name of the conspiratorial organization now?
Elite Circle. Not the best name, I guess. But I've worked it into their imagery and lore.

Team Fossil.

This team believes that "clean energy" is a total myth. They believe that it'll never work, and we're already doomed from the start. Thus, since they think Pokemon and humans alike are screwed, they try to get rid of ALL the fossil fuels- by using them.

The male grunts look like miners, while the females look like archeologists. They all tend to use rock, steel, ground, and fossil pokemon.

There is a few of them questioning their motives. If they're caught saying their feelings aloud, no one knows what happens to them...

Though it be really funny if they were strapped to a chair and forced to look at solar panels lmao

It's been a while since I posted on this thread, but after a long wait, it's finally here. The full team of six Pokémon that the boss of Team Cyber uses... kind of. I've implemented a slight change to my custom evil team, being that Cyber Industries now represents the group as a whole. It might have actually been in this very thread if I recall, but someone told me a little while ago that the two factions sharing a name was a pretty dead giveaway as to Cyber Industries being an evil group, and they are absolutely right about that.

With that out of the way, here's the final team I came up with, using the same theme of Electric, Steel, and Psychic that the rest of Cyber Industries like to take advantage of. And let me warn you in advance: this team... it's actually kind of insane.

https://pokepast.es/68014168f6e37e02

We've got fully competitively trained Pokémon here in my fanmade region, but that's not even the hard part of this boss fight. Did you notice something a bit... off about their movesets? That's right, all of them accept the ace Genesect (perfect ace for a technology company president in my opinion) come packing six moves instead of the four move slots we're all used to. This team might seem a bit overkill, and that's because it is. In the context of my region, however, it's still fair game. My region notably introduces a valuable item that I call "+1 Move Candy", which does exactly what you might think, giving the Pokémon extra move slots. For anyone who's curious, I don't know what the new maximum will be just yet. That just leaves Magnezone and Genesect, who help introduce another concept to my region. Basically, some moves like Hidden Power have gotten a massive overhaul and can have multiple different types run at the same time, at the cost of taking up an extra move slot for each extra type of the move. Genesect in particular comes repping all four Drive versions of its signature move Techno Blast, something that I unfortunately wasn't able to perfectly recreate with the Pokémon Showdown team builder.

Ok so I have like a whole plot surrounding this

I haven't decided on a name, but they use Electric, and they're kind of like the mafia. The leader guy is this somewhat young guy, brown coat, electric bolt tshirt, always in a perpetual shrug, yellow dyed spiky hair, brooklyn accent, what have you.

So basically they do whatever evil teamly stuff they do, and whenever you meet the leader guy, he's relatively weak, and he seems uncomfortable doing whatever it is they're doing, and somewhat nervous talking to you in particular.

Later on, you meet this old mafia dude, and he's the original team leader, and the guy's dad. Turns out the new leader doesn't really like doing evil teamery, and was pressured into it by the old boss. He's demoted for his incompetence and then the old guy takes over.

At the final interaction with the team, you fight the old guy and the new guy, and they're probably trying to fuck with the electric legend or some shit, and then the younger guy reveals he's your dad, and then when the authorities roll up, he apologizes for not being in your life, and then he vanishes.

Wasn't his fault, he's a chill dude, but he's still considered a criminal, and then that's the last you see of the poor guy.

Okay, so it's literally just Giovanni but using Electric instead of Ground.

...

I'm joking. Nah, i can see some potential with this one. I'm pretty curious about the actual plot, though.

Team Tri-Attack

Grunts use fire,Electric, and Ice types, alongside pokemon that can learn Tri-Attack,like Porygon.

3 Admins, each specializing in one of the three types above, with a triple battle against all three of them in the endgame.

I am obviously the evil team leader, and use the three types above alongside an ace Porygon 2,which is a Porygon Z in the last fight.

Don't really have any plot to go with this, will edit if I come up with some later.

It might be a bit of a cliché at this point given how much they've been used in Pokémon media in the past, but this team has "Legendary Bird Trio conquest" written all over it. Maybe change the name to some horrible pun like "Triple Threat" too.

...I'll see myself out.

Team Tech
A company that sells advanced robots to get money to do their villanous plans in secret, the grunts are the bots, that,
are the ppl that buyed the bots, the bots just fused with them, cyborg'd them, borg like (pls someone sees star trek here right???) and because what???, because people are a waste of resourses, just using their bodies to do more things, dont need to give food and all of those things

, the admins are computers/the more advanced robots, normally grunts and admins use poison/electric/steel type mons, and all admins have one mon of the porygon line, also, when advancing in the history,
it seems that some random npc talk like bots, and some just, dont talk, and the grunts start having robot version/cyborg'd versions of mons

and welp, the leader is just normal, but well, he is
also cyborg'd, because well,
again, all of the things that the team originaly said, were the things that the leader was gonna do (and thats what cyborgs were like, programmed to do, idk i want to sleep rn xD) , but after a little of time in the main story, the leader founds a comet, a deoxys comet, that well, containd a never seen version of deoxys, deoxys-brain (i wanted to do a more "virus" variant of deoxys), a full special variant of the mon in stats, that entered in one of the machines of the leader, and reprogram it to reprogram all machines, and then control all of the living beings in the planet, to unknown purposes, but welp, he also starts controling your rival at a late point of the main history, and we do with the rival a cool battle, and then all of those villain-like speechs, battle vs the leader, discover all of what i just said, and then enter in his corrupted brain because idk lol, and fight a boosted version of the "normal" deoxys brain

After that all people become happy and all of those things

Remember when I said I had a total of three evil team ideas for my fan region or whatever? Yeah, that's neat and all, but what if I told you guys I had two more ideas that served as a pair? Think Team Magma and Team Aqua, and how they're rivals with one another. But this time... oh, boy. I don't think I'm overreacting when I say this might just be the single most controversial idea I have ever came up with. I wouldn't even be surprised if this very post catches some negative responses. In fact, I expect this to be the case. But if you guys are willing to put up with me for just a second, maybe, just maybe you'll enjoy this idea as much as I did, if not even more so.

So I live in the United States, okay? I get that there are plenty of forums users who may be from somewhere else, so I figured it would help those users out if I went over some background information first. Here in this country, the people are known for having different political parties to choose from. Hypothetically speaking there can be an infinite amount of these, but throughout most of this country's history there have been two parties that have and still to this day compete in a representative democracy or whatever it's called for people's votes of approval, which ultimately helps decide who our political leaders are.

...You can probably see where this is going when I said a pair of evil teams, I'd bet.

Thankfully, I'm smart enough to know where political discussions aren't wanted. Fortunately for us, such discussion isn't required to explain this concept. So assuming you're still here and reading this, I want to hear your opinions on this idea. So, you know how Pokémon regions are based off of real-world locations nine times out of ten? There's places from the United States that have been turned into Pokémon regions already (Unova was actually kinda where I got this idea from), but one such place that hasn't is this country's capital city, more commonly referred to as Washington, D.C.. Now, it's become common knowledge by this point that Pokémon games are historically split into two versions, and most Pokémon fans nowadays are above the age of 18. You know what else is age 18? That's right, the required age for voting in this country.

So what I was thinking was that some game, or series, or... something designed for older Pokémon fans (more specifically this part of the world's audience to boot) could take place in a new region based on Washington the city, and in this game or series or whatever, the evil team you go up against would be either the "Blue Team" or the "Red Team" depending on your "game version" (i.e. your political party choice). Obviously those names are placeholders for something else... but the whole point is, the game's storyline would be all about decision making, compromises, and if possible, becoming friends/allies with both Teams aside from just "the good guys" in your chosen version.

I still get the fact that making evil teams based off this concept might be a terrible idea, but I truly do think there could be an important moral lesson for our country's young people in here, which does make up a decent chunk of the Pokémon fandom's population. Would such an idea ever happen in real life? No, absolutely not. Heavens no. I wouldn't wish for this in my wildest dreams. I just wanted your opinions, that's all. Feel free to respond however you please. I will take no offense to anyone's reactions. I just want everyone to get along, that's all.

Recently I've been thinking about creating a Villain Team which are the remnants of Team Rocket who separated from the Original Ones, thinking that Team Rocket has gone senile and weak. These guys having learned from the repeated beatings it took from Red and Gold decided that stealing is no good. I haven't thought of a name yet for this Villain Team tbh. Their main base is in Johto and their main goal is separating Kanto and Johto, create their own league and ultimately controlling the entire Region from the shadows. If Team Rocket is a Mafia then this Villain Team is a Yakuza. These guys think that they are actually good guys and are reformed. Although not as evil as the others, their hunger for power is just as strong. Also these guys would clean up all the remnants of Team Rocket and be hailed as a hero. Their influence is even more stronger than the original Team Rocket with the Johto Gym Leaders as their supporters. Their ambitions might make Kanto and Johto escalate to a War if no one is able to stop them.

While I'm not sure of the specifics, my idea for an Evil Team would be them acting as a sort of rebel group. While I enjoy the previous ones I feel a break from the more mafia or cultish evil teams would be a nice change of pace. And unlike the games where people are either against the evil team or part of it, we could see a divided region, where many important people like gym leaders openly support the government/league or the insurgency.

We could add a lot of depth for the team itself. They could have real reasons to oppose the league, while at the same time possibly growing dissatisfied with themselves. And there could be different factions run by each Admin, each with their different methods of running things. Eventually, after failing to overthrow the league for so long, the Team would looking into finding the Box Mascot, a Pokemon sealed away for being too destructive, thus splitting the team into 2 opposed groups.

Of course, this is still a Pokemon game, so unless we can get a more interesting protagonist like the one in Colosseum, I'd say the best way to end this would for the player to defeat the leader, who begins to doubt his cause, but then a rogue Admin would release the Legendary. It would go on a rampage and threaten to destory the entire region, so you, the League, and the various factions of the Team are forced to work to together to stop it. After seeing the destruction their fighting caused, and realized they can do good together, they 2 sides would agree to compromise.

Team Halo: This evil team has a lot to do with Hoopa and its rings. The leader of Team Halo made a wish when he was lucky enough to meet the wish Pokemon, Jirachi. He asked for the powers of Pokemon and ultimately ended up with the Ghost and Psychic typing. He quickly established his dominance over others and brought together Team Halo. Their main goal is to use up all of Hoopa's ring energy and energy in general to swallow up the earth using a large ring while it uses earth material to create a new world in which there is a clear Lord and Savior of that world. The boss' name is: Seishi Shinchaku, meaning: "still new arrival."
