These are always so hard to answer without feeling like you've shortchanged yourself somehow by not including everything you wanted to. Regardless, I'll try my best:

(In no particular order)

1.) Terminator 2 - Kind of a cult-classic, but awesome nonetheless.
2.) Shawshank Redemption - Outstanding movie with superb acting from both Freeman and Robbins.
3.) Lord of the Rings 3: The Return of the King - I loved the books and the movies didn't disappoint; this one was my favorite.
4.) Zoolander - This wasn't the best cinema, but it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.
5.) Platoon - What more could you ask for than Charlie Sheen in a Vietnam War movie? This is my favorite war movie ever.

This is hard but here are the movies that came to mind first (no order after the first)

1) King Kong - I took my brother to see it for his birthday, I probably enjoyed it more, this is my favorite movie ever. People say its overrated or didn't meet expectations, but honestly this was the perfect movie for me. I went through every emotion watching this movie. And yes at the end I cried like a little baby and didn't leave the theater for about 15 minutes, it was such a great movie for me.

2) Kung Fu Hustle - This is like King Kong to an extent, it had all the things I ever wanted in a movie, the fights were great, the emotion was there, and it had some comedic moments. Everyone needs to see it, its such an underrated movie.

3) Sin City - The first R rated movie I saw by myself legally, and what a great one to see. Once again it had everything I ever wanted in a movie, the stories really made this movie for me.

4) Black Hawk Down - First movie I saw in surround sound at home, it was a great action movie and being based on a true story made it whole lot better. I haven't seen it in a while so I should go watch it again.

5) Pokemon: the First Movie/Transformers/King Kong vs Godzilla/Blues Brothers/Terminator 2 - Movies I watched when I was younger, I couldn't pick one out of the bunch but I really loved these movies and watched and enjoyed them alot when I was a kid, I could probably throw a few more in here but these are what came to mind.

i mainly watch horror, but i'll try to post some movies that aren't horror.

High Tension - Probably my favorite horror movie ever. It's all in french, but its bloody as hell, creepy and has a crazy plot twist at the end.

Superstar - This is one of those movies that its so stupid it's funny. I first saw it with my sister when I was 8 so now i still watch it for the nostalgia.

Se7en - Thanks Pax. Pretty awesome movie if you're into murder mysteries.

The Island - I don't care what you guys think, I loved this movie. It really reminds me of The Giver after I think about it.

There are so many, I can't make up my mind.

The Princess Bride is probably #1, but there are certainly other contenders.

My top 5 consists of:

- Citizen Kane
- Persona
- Vanilla Sky
- Blue Velvet
- The Woodsman

Naturally there are many other films I enjoy, but these are the select few that stand above the rest in my eyes.

28 days later
armageddon
anything by quentin tarantino (except maybe hostel which isn't as good as his other films)
deep impact
speed
the matrix (the first one only)
me, myself & irene
the nutty professor (the table scene is the funniest scene ever)
the whole nine yards

anything by quentin tarantino (except maybe hostel which isn't as good as his other films)

That's because it wasn't directed by him, it was "Quentin Tarantino Presents," basically meaning he's an egomaniac who likes to put his name on everything possible.

The Big Lebowski
Fight Club
Big Trouble In Little China (possibly the greatest movie ever created by man or aliens!).

300(So terribly awsome)
Sin City(So good)
Donnie Darko(Wasn't as good as I thought it would be because of all the hype but still good)
Little Nicky(First movie I ever saw)
Shaun of the Dead(Funny)

Lots more
