Your Favorite Underrated Pokes.

Basically, this is a thread for your favorite underrated pokes and the set's you use. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

RULES

1) DON'T BASH ANYONES SETS.

...that is all.

My Nominee:

Froslass.

Seriously underrated, this thing makes a brilliant lead with :

[SET]
name: Destiny Bonder
move 1: Destiny Bond
move 2: Ice Beam
move 3: Shadow Ball
move 4: Taunt
item: Focus Sash

nature: Timid
evs: 6 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SpAtk

The whole game plan here is to stab away with Ice Beam and Shadow Ball until you're low enough on health to quickly destiny bond for the OHKO. Taunt can stop anything you think may stop you.

Right guys, your turn.

Replacing Shadow Ball with Spikes is even better, because it guarantees that you'll set up Spikes and/or kill something.

Would you consider Medicham?

I have a thing for ninjas (no homo?) so I always thought he was dope. Learns all the elemental punches, plus stab brick break and pure power doubles his attack.

I like him with a Choice Band :naughty:

Shadow Ball/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Destiny Bond Froslass w/Focus Sash is on every one of my teams, and I can't remember the last time it didn't take down at least two pokemon, even in OU. Why nobody ever expects thunderbolt and DB is beyond me.

I'd say that defensive Heatran is pretty underrated. The Scarf and Choice sets are pretty common, but you never see the defensive versions. Despite its Ground/Water/Fighting, etc weaks, it has a lot of nice resistances to play with.

As far as the whole Froslass v. Gengar arguments are concerned, those defending Froslass are missing a key point: the set that the TC posted is basically a set Gengar could do as well, meaning as far as sweeping efficiency is concerned, Gengar wins. If the topic creator posted a "unique-to-Froslass" set then the arguments defending Froslass would hold, but the posted set isnt unique to Froslass at all (barring the obvious Ice Beam).

I'm not defending either side, I was just pointing something out.

Actually, Froslass can set up Spikes without the fear of Rapid Spin. Ice Beam that Donphan, Starmie dies to Shadow Ball. Poof, the two most common spinners are gone ^.^

So, I'd run Spikes/Ice Beam/Shadow Ball/Taunt on a Froslass.

BTW I use Kabutops. Aqua Jet/Thief/Rapid Spin/Stealth Rock. It's FUN.

It's fun when a random nine year old loses his dear Infernape's Choice Band and gets smacked in face with a STAB CB Aqua Jet <.< Not to mention when I SR, almost everyone switches their Gengar, Froslass or even Mismagious in. Wrong move...

You really don't need to call "no homo" on the internet. Also I don't think he's exactly underrated, so much as he is underused since CSCross stole it's thunder.

I'm really starting to come around to spikes froslass. thanks guys.
