Thread title says it all.

so my wireless connection is starting to act up on me all of a sudden. here's what happened:

so i took the yellow ethernet cable from my mom (don't ask), i hook one end to the WAN outlet, the other to the modem (retarded system but i'm out of cash atm), and all should work well, but i can't connect. i mean, it connects and all, but it says "no internet access". i reset the modem and router, still can't connect. help? please?

Is the WILAN on your computer switched on?
Or is that only for wireless internet?

Are you sure it's your router and not some settings you have somewhere?
