Your Voice

I like my voice as I hear it, but I basically hate it when I hear on a video or some other recording. It's too low in my opinion, but I've heard people say that my voice very suitable for reading aloud to an audience of some sort.

I actually have multiple tones that I use in different situations.

I can adapt it well, I think. I'm not even sure what my natural tone is, it always varies depending on what I am doing and who I am doing it with.

my mum said that in the voice clip to her you sounded a bit like a sex offender. this was probably because you were revealing that her 16 year old daughter was (or had been) doing cocaine. (fuck you vineon!)

I think you have a lovely voice mind. requesting partiejambeslair.wav

and my voice apparently sounds like Mary Poppins. Or it did roughly a year ago. now it sounds a little more like mary poppins with a nicotine habit.

edit: actually now I sound like a very bristolian mary poppins. my accent is getting thicker by the day. I sound a right country bumpkin now innit like gert lush though.

speaking of which, brb

My voice is pretty deep, I remember when I first got on ventrilo last year guys like Acura said that they loved my voice and that I should do voice-overs for cartoons or something, but I always thought my voice was nasally... of course, that's from my own ears, when I hear myself recorded I barely recognize it, so I dunno.

Well My Voice wasn't getting deeper till january 2005 or something. so I sorta sound like and average 13 or 14 year old now, a bit deep but still young sounding.

i get told that my voice is melodic a lot. not quite sure what that means but it probably is due to singing for the past 12 years. as for my range i go from bass to tenor so meh. my speaking voice changes depending on who i am with. apparently i sound a lot like my dad over the phone and on recordings

My voice is just normal, It doesn't sound like a girls voice and it doesn't sound like one of those horrible teenage boys voices, my voice just sounds like a regular mans voice.

Actually the difference between the voice you hear when you speak and the voice you hear from the recorder, is due to the fact that when we speak, the vibrations travel in our cranium, creating a different sound compared to when it's being played on a recorder. So in reality, most people will sound different from what they think they sound. That's what my friend said.

I have a fairly deep voice with Australian accent ++. I don't like the accent too much, but it goes over well with Americans on Ventrillo etc.

I have a decent voice for talking but when I get excited (for w/e reason) I sometimes speak to fast to be understood. I can't sing so I won't even try. Other then that, I like my voice its ok gets the job done people can hear me when I'm calling them and what not :nerd:

I really don't know how my voice sounds, but i do have an alright signing voice.

and yeah,. voice picks up all the chicks :D

I sound like a girl. I'm almost 18 and when telemarketers or w/e call, they say, "Hello mam, are your parents home?" My 15 year old brother's voice is much deeper than mine. I hate how I sound when I'm recorded, I sound awful. Someone told me today at school they thought they heard my voice when registering for dual-credit classes, but it was my mom. XD

I'm alright with my voice, even though its a bit deep. I have this guy in my class who naturally speaks REALLY fast and teachers tell him to stop putting it on lol.

My voice is pretty husky and deepish, and I used to get a fair bit of shit for it when I was younger. But as I've gotten older, I've learnt to deal with it and my voice has actually gotten less husky with age.

I'm not a great singer, but funnily enough, my voice allows me to be competent at rock and rap, even if I'm shit at everything else.

I also have a pretty thick Australian accent, I don't really notice it though unless I'm recorded or talking to foreign friends.

My friends dig my voice, so I like it too. I articulate clearly and stuff, and people I'm meeting for the first time often comment on it. My main problem is that I sometimes don't think and I can get pretty loud, the same goes for my laugh. I suspect that I can't sing for jack, but I'm not gonna sing solo round my mates in case they confirm it, heh.

Also sexy British accent, you know you love it. I used to have this awesome one when I lived in Northern Ireland, but whatever I have now is pretty typical for a well educated person living in NW London (whatever that is). Recently heard a recording of myself from back when I was 11, I was laughing for ages at how high it was.

My voice sounds pretty normal to me. But I used to get comments on how deep my voice was last year in school. I didn't realize how deep it was until I heard a recording of myself when I was doing a school project. Pretty shocking to me. (I almost sounded like Nepolean Dynamite seriously)

An intresting thing is that I think it might've got a bit higher (normal sounding hopefully?). I was recording my voice over White Record on Nintendogs about 5 minutes ago...not sure how good that sound qulity is. But it sounds normal to me...I'd be really happy if that's how I really sounded. Sucks though because I kinda have a lisp which is annoying.

I've got a real deep voice that sounds kinda stupid when I hear it on home videos, etc. Apparently people like it when I'm doing public speaking, though, so I suppose it's all good.

I think it's kind of a natural reaction to be weirded out when you hear your voice being played back to you. It just sounds so different.

You ever hear a tv nerd speak? Like how their voice is all nasaly sounding. That's my voice, multiplied by 2. I absolutely despise the way I sound, although others don't seem to care.
