    Hey. I have a question about the Coin Case ACE glitch. Namely, if changing the Type of the third Pokemon in the party is possible using it. I understand as much as there seems to be information online, but I was wondering if it was possible to "code" the type of that Pokemon (also if possible the typing and power of the moves, but I would definitely accept just the type of the Pokemon changing). Thanks in advance!

    Ok, while I'm a little sad that that's the case, thanks for responding. So I'm guessing that it is not possible to easily access whatever it is that Conversion and Conversion2 access when used in a battle?

    with real time ACE yes, but it's very tedious to set up and what you can do with it is set the active pokemon in battle (whichever Pokemon it is) to a type, until you disable the effect (but you can't manipulate it during battle)

    Thank you. I wanted to make some outclassed and underwhelming Pokemon have some cool (or at least useful) types (such as some of those stupid high attack fire types be Fire/Normal), but alas, it wasn't meant to be
    Hey Crstyal_ question about Pokedex Entries:
    If you do the "All Starter Trick"(ya know, change box, shut system down in the correct moment etc.), you won't get a Pokedex Entry.
    If you were to make an egg with e.g. (cloned) totodile and Ditto, and a totodile hatches, would it fix the no dex entry problem or not?

    tl;dr Does hatching eggs fix pokedex problems?

    Hi. Yes, if you hatch a Pokemon that is not registered in the Pokedex already it will become registered.

    I don't know the details but the waggles are computed separately from the capture check assuming the later is not passed. There's a single random number generated for the capture check, which is compared to the wild mon's "catch rate" value factoring on its HP, status, ball modifier, etc. Then, there's another random number generated especifically to determine the wobbles but it's too weird and complex iirc.

    how do cartridges work to detect things like making sure thick club raises marowak's attack or stick boosts farfetch'd's crit ratio? do they scan for the pokedex number? the exact name? something else?

    Hi, DHR and CRoll sent me your way with an interesting gen 1 glitch that I've tripped up and neither of them have heard about. Having only completed the first gym my runtime jumped from 1:04 (slow yes I know) to 255:59 (evidence on orange islands discord) was wondering if you'd heard of this?

    Yes, that should work for me. Can we plan to have an hour or two window there in case something comes up for either of us? I'm usually very free on Sundays so if we need to delay that's fine but I don't wanna mess up on activity for finals, y'know.

    Hey again, sorry for this rushed request, but is there any chance we can postpone this for 2-3 hours, which would be 2pm or 3pm your time? I understand it's probably too late for this, so it's obviously perfectly fine if you can't and I will be there at the time we originally scheduled regardless! Just asking in case postponing it a couple of hours is irrelevant to you.
    (btw, i can still stay around a few hours even after 3 pm your time which is 11 pm here, so even if the games take a while it wont be a problem).

    Speaking of rby randbats, think it might be a good idea to also use your levels for the challenge cup?

    Also while we are at it, is there any reason metapod and kakuna only knows harden on randbats when they can get their pre evolution moves unless they are caught that way?

    They actually know Poison Sting/Tackle and String Shot as well. Maybe it's something that's been added recently and you missed it.
    I haven't played CC much (mostly cause it's not in the ladder), but given its nature I don't think levels are so important since it's meant to be unbalanced anyway (in a fun way). I don't even remember right now if they use the same levels as randbats or if all mons are at level 100.

    yo! big fan of your rom hacks so far, played pyrite a bunch and playing randofuser now. just a quick question on randofuser though as the guide wasn't entirely clear on the issue; so if i have a Meowygon (meowth but with porygon fused to it), will it just not evolve since i can't trade it with an upgrade? or does it evolve at some level higher than 28? thank you.

    Hey, thanks for the kind words! Porygon evolution type was replaced with a lv 37 evolution, so your Meowygon will evolve at the average of the two, level 32, assuming you chose to average BST. If you didn't, it will evolve at level 29.

    hey, have you seen the whole "pokemon red RNG" thing? you can save on a given tile, hard reset the game, and then, amazingly enough, get the same encounter every time!     it happens because from the moment when the save is loaded all the button presses are made with exactly the same timing every time. He's already pressing a direction button when the file is loaded and then he doesn't release the button until another direction button is already pressed, so the timing is the same every time, and the rng updates exactly the same everytime. It remains like that until he's prompted to press A/B in the battle, as the timing of that press ins't repeatable without the use of external tools.
    i played and really enjoyed pyrite recently (might even play it again, considering it only took a couple days because i played at 8x speed or something). if you're still updating it and want any feedback/constructive criticism i'd be happy to provide some

    also: a couple years ago or so, I played through a bit of one of the earlier versions you made where pokemon didn't obey you past a certain level based on your badges -- really glad you changed it to a level cap instead, that by itself was a fantastic idea to make sure the game was never easy

    that lady is missing until you have a certain amount of badges... i think i made it 7 badges, but im not 100% sure right now. it isn't there the first time you get to goldenrod though, as you only had 3 badges then; those moves would be too broken that early but the game corner lady isn't always absent.
