You're doing something wrong. Probably not inputting base stats correctly. I'd read up on the damage calculator help and learn how to use advanced features.

You can edit the stats and typings of the 4th gen calculator here on Smogon. The damage formula didn't change between generations.

Hey, you need to extract the WinRar file first. It's like a .zip file (used to compress so it'll take less data) which you need to extract. You can freely download WinRar, just google it. You can also give me your email and then I'll just send you the pokemon files ^^

I think you're not supposed to hold it together with A. After having pressed A then hold the R + X button. Maybe untill the Game Freak logo isn't long enough. Try it for a bit ;)

Yup as soon as you started up the game. I read somewhere that someone kept them pressed untill they say N's Castle popping up and then waited for the "press start" to appear. You should try to experiment with that though to find the quickest and easiest way yourself ;) I don't do button presses, I'm lazy haha, besides RNG Reporter takes a long time calculating those presses for me :P

You can't really see your current PID frame. You have to catch multiple Pokémon using the same seed with difference of saving/ chatot. Catch one without saving/ chatter. Catch one with one save/ chatter. etcetera.

I haven't really tried it myself yet but you can select method PID RNG (the box containing method gift pokemon, method standard seed etc.). Change the frame to 40-50 and check at which frame you are at.

I'll try this myself today too. Once I know the exact steps to find your starting PID frame I'll let you know ;)

To advance the PID RNG frame you can either save or listen to the custom cry of a Chatot that knows the move Chatter. Listening to that cry advances the PID frame by 1. The PID frame doesn't start at frame 1. It mostly starts around frame 40-50 and with some DS's it start around 40-60. The starting PID frame always varies per seed. Two different seeds will have two different starting PID frames however their starting PID frame will always be the same.

Good luck with the breeding ^^ I always use the Gift method for that. If you do, remember to set the max and min frame at 8.

Nope it is different. There are two frames. The IVRNG frame and the PID RNG frame. The IVRNG frame controls the IV spread of your Pokémon. The PID RNG frame controls the shinieness, gender, nature, ability and species of your Pokémon.

The IVRNG frame always start on 1. You can advance it by x by walking 128 steps with x amount of Pokémon in your party. You can also advance it by other methods which have a consist amount of advancement frames such as withdrawing Pokémon from your PC and turning in a wild spot of Pokémon (grass I think). You can read that up in the guide. However, I recommend that you just find a seed on frame 1. Makes it a whole lot easier. If you have Timer0 C7F I can tell you two seeds which I have been constantly using ;)

Haha, that sucks. Are you trying for it again with the synchronizer this time? If you don't have a Chatot you should just try to save before you talk to it to advance the PID frame to get the right nature ^^

I'm not sure however you could use a Max Repel and then save. Then you won't have to keep using the max repel and it definitely won't mess with your frame ^^
