Star Wars Mafia

Night 5 has ended.

The scene opens on a campfire in the woods. A group of Imperial soldiers are huddled around the crackling fire, struggling to stay warm in the cold, night air.

"It is f-freezing tonight."

"Y-You can say t-that again."

Little did this troop of Imperial Soldiers know, however, that the cold air wasn't all they had to worry about. The Rebel Alliance was slowly encircling them, preparing for an ambush.

"It's really quiet tonight."

"Maybe a little too quiet," said the cliche Imperial Soldier.

Just then the Rebels sprung their attack. Carbine shots rung out all over the place, as a circle of Rebels keep enclosing, and enclosing. Imperial Soldiers were dropping left and right. However, soon an equalizer would be on its way. Rapidly closing in on the scene was a dark and sinister man, on a hover transport. He threaded his way into the middle of the fray, and pulled out his light saber. He began deflecting shots back at the Rebels, and using his force choke to eliminate others. Rebel numbers began dwindling as they began to retreat. The man was able to capture two, however.

"So Rebel scum, I will ask you nicely. Where is Admiral Akbar hiding?"

"You'll never get that information from us, Vader!"

"Oh, really? You must not be so willing to doubt my power of...persuasion.

Just then Darth Vader put them both into his force choke hold. Both men were lifted up off the ground, legs flailing, faces slowly turning blue.

"Are you ready to tell me NOW?"

Still, the Rebels refused to give away anything.

"You leave me with no choice."

Vader intensified the force choke, and the Rebels' heads were slowly slumping to the side. They were being choked to death, and there was no one around to prevent....

"Put them down, Vader."

Vader turns around. He notices who it is, and quickly releases the two Rebels, now unconscious, and they fall to the ground. Vader quickly reaches to his hip and grabs his light saber.

"So, young Skywalker, you've decided to find out what it's like to face a Jedi in combat, have you?"

"I've come to prevent you from carrying out your plan. Regardless of what you think, I am not scared of you. Obi-Wan has taught me. I can feel his presence even now."

"Foolish boy, shadows can't protect you now."

Vader lunges out at Luke just as he was able to arm himself with his own light saber. Saber hits saber, and the two men remain engaged and stare each other down.

"Having second thoughts are we, Skywalker?"

"Only about how to kill you."

The two release, and begin encircling each other. They move in to strike again, and sabers clash once more. Vader begins using the force to induce objects to come at Luke. Luke does his best to try and evade them, but gets nailed a few times, letting Vader get the upperhand. Luke jumps up and out of the way to regain composure.

"Very good, young Skywalker, very good. Now let's get serious."

Luke comes charging at him, light saber ablaze. They begin trading blows back and forth, expertly maneuvering their sabers to defend themselves from the other. Quickly and rapidly the light sabers clash, sparks occasionally flying off.

"You cannot hold on forever, young Skywalker. My powers are superior to yours."

"Don't be so sure, Vader.

Just then Luke jumps up over Vader. In this defenseless move, Vader tries to seize the opportunity, and takes a swing up at Luke's prone body as he is coming out of his tuck. Vader was able to strike Luke's saber hand, removing it and the saber cleanly.

"AAAAAHHHHHHH"

Luke lets out an anguished cry. He falls to the ground, light saber yards away.

"It seems that you are no match for me, young Skywalker, although I admire your bravery. It's a shame that I must now put an end to you.

"You can do what you want with me, but I see that your time will soon come to an end as well. You will not win this war!"

With those final words, Vader flips his light saber down, and using it as a stake, drives it through the heart of Luke Skywalker...

Summary
There were two attempted kills last night. Both Amelia and Galahad survived the attacks.

The same could not be said for the one, lone corpse. And that was the corpse of Luke Skywalker...
Hipmonlee.

Hipmonlee, you are Luke Skywalker.
You are allied with the Rebels.
You are a whiney, little bitch in the first movie, but eventually become a major badass.

You are the son of one of the greatest Jedis ever. You are a member of the Rebel Alliance, and you are trying to hold the Imperial Forces at bay while Admiral Akbar performs the diagnostic tests. You have not quite honed your Jedi skills (but upon the death of a certain character, your role may in fact change for better or for worse), so right now you have been relegated to intercepting messages.

During the night, you may PM me the name of someone in the game. If that player is trying to transfer a message to someone else, you will get the message instead, and its contents.

So the Rebels lost one of their leaders. Certainly it was a major blow to their cause, but they'll live on to fight another day.

Day 5 has begun.

Hmm... Three kills and two failures. Is there another bg or is one of them BPV?

Too bad about Hip. =(

Anyway, the only way forward is to continue.

I stand by my decision to lynch Gormenghast. I explained everything to Hipmonlee; I hope he passed on some of this info before he died, and those people he cleared can vote with me tonight to prove that, if I'm not innocent, then at least I am working for the Rebels and they could possibly get in touch with me (obviously after today's lynch, it would be foolish to trust me enough to give away your identity).

I don't really have anything more to add, unless people have more questions as to why we should lynch Gormenghast (although I'll be suspicious as to whether you are a bounty hunter).

The only thing I have to say is that Gormenghast isn't just a run-of-the-mill Bounty Hunter. He is, in fact, rather high in the chain of command.

i dont really give a shit lol

you're wrong and if people wanna vote with you it's only gonna expose how you're wrong. it's lose lose for you so i dont mind.

I'll side with whoever understands why 05161 is an impressive number.

Because Fidel Castro banned elections on May 1, 1961 (if you use that format)?

Or is it because the US ended all diplomatic relations with Cuba on 5 January 1961?

I tried converting it from an octal to decimal number but I didn't see anything interesting. =(

Everyone: I just got results from the inspector.Akuchi is allied with the Empire. Not just that but the Death Star.

...However, Obi dies first, so Lynch Obi.

lol I deleted my post about 2 minutes after I posted it because I realized it would be better for some Empire to reveal themselves to the bounty hunters so we could have inter-mafia rivalry. I don't see how this condemns me in any way. I also don't see how I killed Hipmonlee. I'm just an inspector, not a murderer! >=(

Mr.378, we can get akuchi tomorrow. Tonight we want Gormenghast. He isn't just allied with the mafia, he's a powerful role. When I am proven right, I am somewhat more trustworthy, which helps us. If we kill akuchi now, we still have that problem of people not trusting my inspections. I'll vote with you tomorrow (assuming no new info comes out you or her!) if you vote with me today.

Hipmonlee said:
[edit] - Also based on irc conversations I believe evan may be mafia. Just a heads up.

I also have Hip being suspicious of you in PM. If I were some observer, I would take everything you say with a grain of salt. If Hip finding someone suspicious were grounds for a lynch, you're up there, too.

Yes, I did claim the role of Jaster Mareel to Hipmonlee. However, that was because I was not entirely convinced of his innocence, so I was seeing what he would do with that information. I was inspecting him last night, but obviously that didn't work out.

Lynch Obi.

I never trusted Obi, but this has gone too far. Hipmonlee and i were in contact with him via IRC and we decided to joint lynch Porygon3 under the agreement that Obi, who has claimed to be in contact with the BG, would keep Hip safe. Obi successfully communicated to Hip that he would be protected this night. Hipmonlee entrusted me with a message, that IF Hip should die this night, that Obi should die the next without fail.

If that's not reason enough, and i need more proof,

BK, i can tell you why that number's important, and i have more numbers where those came from. If you know what i'm talking about, PM me.

I'm Hip's backup. I'm in contact with the inspector as well and was conferring with him on the sidelines, to be kept safe. If Obi does night die this night, i'll surely fall victim to him next. Obi has claimed to be an inspector, which is surely false, as i know and have proven the identify of the ONLY Rebel inspector there is.

Obi also 'false claimed' Jaster Mareel, an alias of the fetts to Hip saying that somehow that correlates to an inspector.

Lastly, Night 2 we had Obi inspected. We were met with a shocking result, that Obi is immune to inspection. If that isn't sketchy enough, we can assume that he is protected from all night roles, including killings, much lke mundungus fletcher in HP Mafia I, making Obi a werewolf type role.

i'll update this later because i'm typing on a macbook pro on a trip and this keyboard sucks.

Well, at least the Mafias have a second thought of aiming me now...
Anyways, lynch Obi.
I'm very suspicious of Gorm as well however, but for now, i think we need to reveal the truth behind Obi. Let's save Akuchi for later.
Can the inspector inspect Gorm for this night?

I see no reason why we should even give Obi a chance. He clearly has a great power and has been proved untrustworthy by not protecting hip. On top of that, using mod powers to his advantage is just unfair. It seems if he could do a lot of damage at night if we let him live. So for that:

Lynch Obi

You can't just trust the word of one player and question another.

Who says Mr.378's info holds true?

I'm not saying it doesn't, I'm just interested in why you're questioning one over the other here.
