Day 4

You wake up after a howling night to find four (yes four) bodies.

The first is that of WMax. Looks like his large robotic frame got hit by a Super Missile.
UncleSam said:
Dear WMax, you are the Ingsmasher.

You are a large robot designed by the Luminoth to smash the Ing. After being left alone without any maintenance for an extended period of time, however, you now simply attack anything that comes within reach. Your beam weapons, opposite-polarity ray shielding, and missile launchers all make you a powerful ally--or dangerous enemy.

Each day you may submit either a PM titled “DX-Draw in Polarity Beams around <Alias>” or “DX-Collect charges around <Alias”. If you draw in beams around <Alias> and <Alias> is lynched in any way, shape, or form, you will partially block it and so <Alias> will be evaluated as one stage lower than he or she was actually lynched (in other words, if <Alias> is lynched first he or she will be evaluated as if he or she was lynched second, and so forth). Collecting charges around <Alias> will result in an increased effect: <Alias> will be evaluated two places lower than he or she was lynched (so, if lynched first <Alias> will be evaluated third).

Because of the aura you continuously maintain around you, the first time any information role targets you, it will fail. After that, however, anyone attempting to discover information about you will be able to see through your deception. If multiple roles target you while you have this protection in place, they will all fail.

Your lynch affects are: Lynched, One-Time Hook, One-Time Robot Vote.

Your team ability is that, every night, you may submit a PM titled “Light of Aether shines down on <Alias>”. The Light of Aether will shine down on <Alias>, preventing <Alias> from performing any actions that night and giving you a chance to check what items <Alias> currently has.

Your team’s steal is currently successful a maximum of twice every three nights. Your team’s kill is currently successful a maximum of once every three nights. For the kill, you will slam your energized fists into your target, electrocuting AND flattening him or her. For the steal, you will send a shock wave at your target, and while your target is busy dodging it, you will take his or her items.

You are holding the Sanctuary Temple Key #1.

You are allied with Light Aether. You win if a member of your faction is alive when the Galactic Federation, Dark Aether and Dark Samus factions are eliminated while at least three temples are restored.
Looks like this gigantic robot was once known simply as HD.

Next up in this bloodbath is one KMax. He appeared to have been blown to pieces by a series of concussive blasts.
UncleSam said:
Dear KMax, you are the Pirate Commando.

You are the elite stealth units of the Space Pirates, mainly dedicated to “hunting the hunter”. Aside from improved Pirate weaponry, you carry energy shields, grenade launchers, and powered energy shields. Your ability to attack from the shadows strikes fear in the hearts of many.

Once every two nights you may submit a PM titled “NX-Pulse Cannon around <Alias>”. You will fire at any killers or thieves that target <Alias> and cause them to fail due to being discombobulated from the dimensional rift and electric pulse emitted from your Pulse Cannon. Additionally, if the culprit was a thief, he or she will be so stunned from the explosion that <Alias> will have an opportunity to grab any and all items the thief had.

Due to your remarkable stealth abilities, you have the capability to use a temple key on a temple that is protected. Additionally, if you are ever used to kill someone, your kill will penetrate any inherent defenses the role your target may have. You will not go through any roles protecting your target user, however.

Because of your ability to shift in and out of sight, the first time any information role targets you, it will fail. This includes double-targets if this protection has not yet been used up. The second time, however, your targeted will not be fooled.

Your lynch affects are: Lynched, One-Time Hook, Vote Discounted.

Your team ability is that, once every three days, you may submit a PM titled “DX-Rig Explosives around <Alias>, and stealth submit <Alias1>, <Alias2>, and <Alias3>”. Should <Alias> submit a ballot, it will be negated due to being blown up, and regardless <Alias>’s vote will count as having voted for <Alias1>, <Alias2>, and <Alias3>, in that order. <Alias>’s vote will show up as having voted for your submitted ballot rather than the original, but <Alias> will not be specifically informed what tampered with his or her vote. However, it will be announced publicly that there was an odd explosion in the Day update.
Your team’s steal is currently successful a maximum of twice every three nights. Your team’s kill is currently successful a maximum of once every three nights. For the kill, you will stab your target with your energy scythe, impaling him or her. For the steal, you will stun your target by throwing an EMP Grenade, making off with his or her items while they are disoriented from the explosion.

Your safe claim is Commander K. Starling, allied with the Galactic Federation. The Galactic Federation win condition and team ability are as follows:
-Win condition: You are allied with the Galactic Federation. You win if a member of your faction is alive when the Light Aether, Space Pirate, and Ing factions are eliminated while the Sky and Torvus Temples are restored.
-Team ability: Your team ability is that, once every three nights, you may submit a PM titled “NX-Open Fire on <Alias>”. You will open fire on <Alias> using your state-of-the-art weaponry, resulting in <Alias> being unable to perform any actions that night due to taking cover from your barrage.

You are holding the Sky Temple Key #3.

You are allied with the Space Pirates. You win if a member of your faction is alive when the Galactic Federation, Samus, and Dark Aether factions are eliminated while the Agon and Sanctuary Temples are restored.
Given that this fearsome soldier reportedly let out a *whimper* before dying, it can be concluded this was once Ditto.

Third in this extravaganza of pain and suffering is a large piece of machinery. ToTheMax bit the dust tonight. You found him trapped in a room filled with the poisonous atmosphere of Dark Aether, which you conclude must have been the cause of death.
UncleSam said:
Dear ToTheMax, you are Samus’s Gunship.

You are the private gunship of bounty hunter Samus Aran. Custom built for Samus by the Federated Shipyards at Aliehs III, you contain a mobile energy recharge system, microfactories designed to produce ammunition, and a sophisticated onboard computer which stores mission data collected in the field for further reference.

Every night, you may submit a PM titled “NX-Looking up data on <Alias>”. You will check your database and discover the full role PM of <Alias>.

Additionally, every night you may submit a PM titled “NX-Allowing <Alias> on board”. <Alias> will board you and no one will be able to stop your target from performing night actions that night (your target’s actions may still be blocked, however).

Additionally, every night you may submit a PM titled “NX-Firing my lasers at <Alias>’s target”. You will fire your blaster cannon at <Alias>’s target, and if <Alias> has a killing role, the kill will be guaranteed to succeed so long as <Alias> is not stopped from completing actions.

Because your on-board computer has so much power, you will be able to send 2 anonymous messages per day or night.

Being a bounty hunter’s gunship, you are able to outspeed pretty much any enemy. The first time you are targeted with an information role of any kind, it will fail. If you are double targeted while this protection is in place, all information roles will fail. After that, however, enemies will have upgraded to faster ships and be able to obtain information.

You know that your esteemed pilot, Samus Aran, is <snip>Max. If Samus is to be killed while you are still alive, you, as her ship, will take the hit and appear to be <snip>Max upon death. Samus will take the alias of ToTheMax.

Your lynch affects are: Lynched, One-Time Hook, One-Time Robot Vote.

Your team ability is that, once every two nights, you may submit a PM titled “NX-Recruit a Luminoth”. You will ask U-Mos for help, and he will give you an Alias-less NPC for you to name that you may have vote for whoever you wish at any time. However, you may only use each NPC once.

Your team’s steal is currently successful every night. Your team’s kill is currently successful a maximum of twice every three nights. For the kill, you will fire your blaster cannons at the target, making them look like swiss cheese. For the steal, you will dive-bomb the target, startling them into dropping their items, then send a crewmember down to retrieve them.

Your safe claim is the Pirate Trooper, allied with the Space Pirates. The Space Pirate win condition and team ability are as follows:
-Win condition: You are allied with the Space Pirates. You win if a member of your faction is alive when the Galactic Federation, Samus, and Dark Aether factions are eliminated while the Agon and Sanctuary Temples are restored.
-Team ability: Your team ability is that, once every three days, you may submit a PM titled “DX-Rig Explosives around <Alias>, and stealth submit <Alias1>, <Alias2>, and <Alias3>”.

You are holding the Phazon #2. You do not know what it does, but you do know that you have no use for it.

You are allied with Samus. You win if a member of your faction is alive when the Ing, Space Pirates, and Dark Samus factions are eliminated while at least three temples are restored.
Looks like this was once Flamestrike.

And the final body you find is, finally, organic AND non-humanoid! How exactly you know this, however, is merely from a slip of paper left at the scene, because apparently a powerful energetic wave removed any other trace of PMax.
UncleSam said:
Dear PMax, you are the Grapple Guardian.

You are a gigantic Grenchler possessed by a Warrior Ing and wielding the power of Samus’ stolen Grapple Beam. You reside in the depths of the Dark Torvus Bog, in a room known as the “Sacrificial Chamber” for a reason: you. As if this weren’t enough, you are completely invulnerable from the front, and can only be harmed via attacks to your softer backside.

Every night you may submit a PM titled “NX-Grapple <Alias>”. You will latch onto <Alias> with your Grapple Beam and take all items in <Alias>’s possession.

Due to being buried deep under the earth in the depths of the Torvus Bog, the first time someone attempts to inspect you in any way, shape, or form it will fail. After that, however, your location will become more exposed, and information roles targeting you will succeed. If multiple information roles target you while you still are immune to information roles, they will all fail.

Your lynch affects are: Lynched, Hooked, Stolen.

Your team ability is that, once every three days, you may submit a PM titled “DX-Dark Blast around <Alias>”. If <Alias> was going to be harmed from the lynch in any way, shape, or form apart from being lynched in the first position, <Alias> will not be affected.

Your team’s steal is currently successful a maximum of twice every three nights. Your team’s kill is currently successful a maximum of once every three nights. For the kill, you will draw your target in with your Grapple Beam and bite into your target, resulting in energy burns and bite wounds. For the steal, you will use the Grapple Beam just like in your normal thief ability; you may use the team steal and your individual kill in the same night.

You are holding the Torvus Temple Key #3.

You are allied with Dark Aether. You win if a member of your faction is alive when the Light Aether, Luminoth, and Space Pirate factions are eliminated while there is at least one temple unrestored.
In the distance you hear a noise:

"Fuck.....LN...."

Obviously, this was Steven Snype.

Finally, you find two new aliases alive and well today! KirkMax and ScottyMax have joined the game!

It is now Day 4. Day 4 will end at 18:00 EST on January 1st.

RALLY, FORCES OF LIGHT, TO BRING DOWN THE PHAZON MOLE

Lynch GMax
Lynch VMax
No LynchImperfectluck is the mole who's been recruited by Dark Samus aka Billymills thru Phazon feeding. Every Light Aether and other allies lynch him.

Proof that ipl's been recruited:

<UncleUpdating> With the loss of two teammates, your team kill
and steal rates have improved to twice every three cycles and
every cycle, respectively.
01:52 <@askaninjask> two teammates?
01:52 <@askaninjask> isn't it just HD
01:52 <@askaninjask> or did i miss something in the update
01:53 <@askaninjask> one of you must have been
01:53 <@askaninjask> recruited!
01:53 <@Agape> that's some logic there

01:48 <@Agape> and ipl is the most probable recruit target for dark samus

01:48 <@Spiffy> are we sure the recruit was last night?
01:48 <@Agape> let's do it anyway
01:48 <@Agape> ipl would agree
01:48 <@Spiffy> wtf wait
01:48 <@Agape> as this is taking risks

To ipl: Since we've given up we might as well take bigger risks, can't we?

After all, who wants to be idle and paranoid when one can take risks? :)

I can confirm ipl no longer has anyone's best interest in mind sans Dark Samus'.

Also, to those factions who can win with Dark Samus, and even the Space Pirates, consider for me that only 2 factions will win this game. Currently, Samus is down to 1 member while Dark Samus has 3. The Ing, who DS hopped into bed with long ago, have lost 1 member. The Space Pirates have lost 2, as well as a really good role. Oh funny, wonder who DS thinks is the better ally......

Dark Samus is about to sweep this game if we don't knock them down a peg. With us out of the way, two Luminoth dead, and ipl having moled the LA so they can off the rest of them quickly, DS will surely be one of the two winners. Anyone want to take risks on being the second, or let me stick around and give DS something to worry about?

To Dark Aether: Consider that Samus has a recruit that will only target Dark Aethers and that she will probably have to use it soon enough. You are also in exactly the same position as the ing, considering each of you have only lost a thief.

To Ing: Consider that Samus is your enemy and ipl is not. Also you too are in a fairly strong position.

To Space Pirates: You're not in as bad a position as it looks with a nightly kill and persuade, and with samus dead and no fed kill tomorrow, you're the least likely to lose any more members.

To Feds: For fuck's sake get someone better than accent leading your damn team.
