SoS has weaker mons which remind me of my own, ref bias has been decided. :P
Arcanite, your actions first, etc. I'll flavour it up when the battling starts.

Edge, Let's stop Hijinks' Hijinks with a Taunt! Then, glare Joltik, then Pilcowatt!

Pupitar, go for a rock slide, then a stone edge on Joltik, then another rock slide.

Oh my. This may not end at all well for me...

Hijinks: Detect >>> Scald (Pupitar) >>> Ice Beam (Servine)

Coulomb: Energy Ball (Pupitar) >>> Disable (Glare, Servine) >>> Disable (Stone Edge, Pupitar)

Today, Arcanite and Son of Shadoo find themselves battling at the boring and generic ASB Arena.
SoS sends out his two Pokemon, Plicowatt and Joltik! This is however unsurprising to all, as he had said he would use them beforehand.
The surprise is Arcanite's choices - Servine and Pupitar! These pokemon are not only evolved but carry a significant type advantage against the smaller creatures. SoS is already faced with a disadvantage, can he overcome it?

Hijinks begins the Hijinks, using Detect to ward off Edge's Taunt! Joltik gathers the energies of nature around him in the form of an Energy Ball which causes Pupitar some harm. His vengeance comes quickly however in the form of a Rock Slide which crushes both his foes!
Plicowatt then decides to support his teammate's endeavours, piling the pain onto Pupitar with Scalding water! Servine, apparently angry at his friend's peril seems only able to Glare menacingly, but the glare is enough to Paralyse Joltik. This allows Titan to get the jump on the poor spider, whalloping him with Stone Edge. Adding insult to injury, Coulomb finds himself unable to move due to paralysis!
Hijinks begins the next action in a cold manner, firing upon Edge with an Ice Beam! However, the snakes' Glaring continues and stiffen's plicowatt's muscles, allowing Servine to overtake him as fastest kid on the track. Titan unleashes another Rock Slide, and Joltik cramps up again - major bummer.
It's not looking good for Team SoS!
Team SoS:
Joltik/Plicowatt
34 HP/56 HP
94 EN/80 EN
PAR(10%)/PAR(20%)

Team Arcanite:
Servine/Pupitar
74 HP/57 HP
74 EN/81 EN

Oh damn, thought I posted. Oh well.

Hijinks: Scald x3 @ Pupitar
If Pupitar faints, use Ice Beam @ Servine.

Coulomb: Energy Ball x3 @ Pupitar
If Pupitar faints, use Bug Bite @ Servine.

Titan: Stone Edge Joltik, then Rock Slide, then Stone Edge Joltik! (If Joltik faints, attack Pilcowatt)

Edge: Torment Joltik, Torment Pilcowatt, Leaf Storm on Pilcowatt!

It goes from bad to worse almost immediately for team SoS as Edge Torment's Joltik in such a way the he is unable to do anything! A Stone Edge from Pupitar adds considerable pain too. Plicowatt manages to get off an Ice Beam...
But a second Torment prevents that too! Oh god! A Titanic Rock Slide finishes of Joltik leaving Hijinks alone and defenseless.
A Leaf Storm and a Stone Edge later and its all over folks!

1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC for all pokemon.
2 KOC for Pupitar
2 TC for both trainers.
4 RC for myself

Yes, gg. (Quick counters is what you asked for!)

This is the third attempt, and the previous two, well the first you counterteamed (No surprise) and the second was dead close (Dammned Arghonaut). So i'd say we're pretty even!

We need to have a 6 Vs6 sometime! (Maybe in october! After gyms are sorted)

The second, you SHOULD have won, but both Blaze Kicks in the last round missed. Phloem is a ninja apparently. And deal, we are officially rivals for life.
