Let me tell you all a tale about a battle between a Pwnemon and the big bad The Wolfe.

"Sir, are you speaking like a storybook again?"

"Yes, now be quiet."

Battle #1
Battle type: 2v2 FE Singles
DQ Time: 3 Days
Restrictions: 5 chills/2 recoveries
Substitutions: 2
Music: Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger
Arena: ASB Arena

In the end, the Pwnemon was stuck in a corner by The Dastardly Wolfe.
Team Pwnemon:

Gliscor Aerotoxin (F)

Nature: Jolly (+15% spe, +14 acc boost, -1 SpA)
Types: Ground / Flying
Ground: Ground STAB; Immune to all electrical attacks, can Dig through almost any substance, Evasive Digging reduced from 3 per action Energy Cost to 2 per action, superior senses in darkened cave surroundings.
Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks outside extremely odd circumstances even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas.

Abilities:
Sand Veil:
(Innate) This Pokemon is used to reacting in desert conditions and gets a 20% evasion boost during Sandstorms. Pokemon with this ability are immune to Sandstorm damage.
Hyper Cutter: (Innate) This Pokemon always keeps its claws/teeth/pincers extremely sharp, and thus cannot have its attack reduced.
Poison Heal: (Innate) Pokemon with this ability have internal structures that absorb the toxins in poison and uses them to recover two (2) HP/action instead of taking poison damage. When a Pokemon with Poison Heal inflicts Poison on themselves with an attack, it uses up one of their Recovery Moves. If Toxic'd, the Toxic counter will still go up each round and Toxic will do the relevant damage for that round should their ability be disabled.

Type: Dark/Water
Dark: Dark STAB; Immunity to all telepathic and telekinetic attacks, better performance in all darkened and especially twilight conditions. Can use any Dark-type attack regardless of Attraction.
Ground: Ground STAB; Immune to all electrical attacks, can Dig through almost any substance, Evasive Digging reduced from 3 per action Energy Cost to 2 per action, superior senses in darkened cave surroundings.

Abilities:
Rebound: (Innate) When this Pokemon is released into battle, it senses the hazards the opponent has laid on the field and thrusts them to the other side of the arena where they will affect the opponent's Pokemon. The Pokemon does not suffer the effects of these hazards when it switches in.
Guts: (Innate) This Pokemon is tenacious and will work ever harder when under a status condition, raising the base attack power of all its physical attacks by two (2). Pokemon with Guts ignore the attack drop from burn.
Pressure: (Innate) This Pokemon’s presence fills the air with intense anxiety, and any damaging or status attack launched at this Pokemon costs the opposing Pokemon two (2) more energy to perform.

Round 1: A Long Time coming.

Soon, the Wolfe flashed his claws and swooped down onto the unsuspecting...

"What?! Okay that's it, if you're not going to ref this match as a normal human being I have no choice. Hopefully this can fix you while I'm at it."

*WHACK*

"Alright, with that out of the way, I, Origin, will have to ref this match. Now don't worry, just because I'm a Stratagem doesn't mean I'm no good at reffing. Now then, to the reffing!"

Colossoil uses a very prudent Substitute to keep out the attacks of Swampert. However, Swampert simply ignores this and calls in a rainstorm by using a Rain Dance. I do not like the rain, it reminds me of my master's failed attempt of scaling Stormrage Mountain. So much water...

After finishing up his dance, Swampert senses something dangerous coming from that Colossoil, so he sets up a green Protective barrier. And it appears he was right, in a flash, Colossoil came up and hit the barrier with a Fake Out attack. Luckily Swampert was protected and suffered no worse for wear besides some energy.

Finally, Colossoil, trying to follow his trainer's commands, uses a U-Turn on Swampert in what was obviously an attempt to avoid Yawn. However, Swampert wasn't impressed by this, and is slower than Colossoil, so he Yawns anyway. However, one saving grace for Colossoil is the Substitute, with makes the Yawn useless!

Both battlers appear to be neck and neck, but what will happen next I wonder? Well, my current prediction is that Swampert will win.

Sorry for another correction post, but I got word that Pwnemon is supposed to order first since he used U-Turn to switch in a new Pokemon. I got confirmation from the Ask a Simple Question thread and data audit.

If a Pokemon ordered to attack first uses U-Turn and brings in a new Pokemon, does the new Pokemon coming in also have to order commands first? Thanks.
Yes.

Thus, proper strategic use of switching moves is to use them when ordering second, since you're ordering first next round anyway. This denies the opponent a chance to counterswitch, in addition to a couple of other advantages.
Data Audit Thread said:
U-turn: The Pokemon strikes the opponent before dashing off in a different direction, outpacing even trapping abilities. If the attack hits, the attack resets all of the Pokemon's stat changes and snaps it out of temporary status as well as other effects like Disable, Taunt, and Torment. In a switch battle, the user is sent back to its trainer's Poke Ball at the end of the round. The Pokemon that is switched in to replace the user is chosen by the player from their remaining Pokemon, however the trainer that commanded U-turn must attack first. A Pokemon switched out with U-turn can switch without initiating a Switch Phase, but only Pokemon that used Teleport, U-turn, or Volt Switch can be swapped out.

Round 2: More Shenanigans

Salutations everyone. Last round The Wolfe did some damage to Colossoil, then Pwnemon made a U-Turn to bring Gliscor in. Was this a wise move?

Perhaps not, while Gliscor manages to do reasonable damage to Swampert with a typical Earthquake, Swampert's Waterfall does much more damage, despite Gliscor's famous Defensive stat. After that sort of damage, Gliscor opts to be evasive and Digs underground to avoid Swampert's attacks. However, Swampert stays one step ahead of him and sends out some seismic waves of his own, to Bulldoze Gliscor. This does massive damage, and Gliscor only does a little bit of damage in return. Despite the speed drop, Gliscor still finds himself faster than Swampert, and we have a repeat of the first action...

Well, it seems Wolfe is outplaying his opponent quite effectively. Can Pwnemon gain momentum by ordering second? Only time will tell...

Sorry for bringing up more corrections, but due to the rain set up and Swampert's Expert Belt, her Waterfalls are supposed to deal (8 + 3 from STAB + 3 from Weather + 2 from Item = 16) * 1.5 = 24 damage.

In any case, keep up the hype!
