The Power of Big Birds, Kacaw Style!
 Behold the power and grace of They are the fastest things on earth, outspeeding slow shits like Arceus who can’t even fly with wings. This is a competitive team and should not be taken lightly as a troll team, as those who underestimate it always ends up getting shredded by the mighty beaks of these flawless birds. Flying is a unique typing as it allows you to tank common attacks such as the fat dinosaur knowns as Groudon's mighty Earthquake, Genesect’s irritating U-turn, Shaymin-S's haxy Seed Flare, and Terrakion’s cheap Close Combat. Many Ubers teams are simply too weak and frequently die in the face of little Spikes. Birds soar above the Spikes and Toxic Spikes bound to mortal weaklings below. Obviously, the entire team laughs at any Spiking attempts, as they can’t even reach the Spikes while Roosting. Despite being slaughtered by Thunder and Ice Beam spamming, birds will not fall without putting up a nasty fight. This team packs quite a powerful core to retaliate with, and will never die to a single pokemon sweep, and of course a trump card has to be added or the team cannot function. Birds descend from the heavens to smite the evil ground dwellings and fat monsters with their extraordinarily sharp beaks and shiny talons. There are quite a few birds found in the Ubers tier: the Fireburn turkey Ho-Oh, a fatass ocean dwelling Lugia and Shaymin-S? I guess a flying hedgehog looks like a bird in some ways as they both have fluffy feathers. The lame weakness to Stealth Rock; taking 25% or 50% in Ho-Oh case, few Pokemon will be able to stand up to the repeated barrage of Brave Birds. If you are gonna use this team, you have play HARD and FAST. No stalling because birds always fight with all their might which allowed the bravest birds to master the art of Close Combat. With such bravery, its no wonder birds first evolved alongside the dinosaurs, and even smashing them to bits! As an example, no matter how hard you try to Outrage that evil rebellious bird called Skarmory, you still fail to break through the metallic armor of big birds. Archeops and Aerodactyl are both competitors back in the Jurassic age but it was obvious that the dinosaur lost to the ‘first’ bird in terms of power and elegance. However, Aerodactyl cheated and begged Arceus to curse Archeops with a BS ability called Defeatist in order for him rule the ancient skies as only the strongest can survive and the weak shall perish. The battle between these to prehistoric rivals continued till this very day and they are both duking it out in RU, where the metagame is much kinder to both sides. This RMT will be put Archeop’s amazing skills and power on display in the treacherous Ubers metagame, and picking one out of those two combatants was a hard one. Lugia is shit because she is so fat she can't even retaliate well, Aeroblast is still embarrassingly weak for such a Huge Bird. Since it can't hit hard, she was never considered for this team. Defenses just aren't what characterized birds. Birds are the symbol of freedom and SPEED + POWER. Lugia has Speed and that's about it, it doesn't really provide much support, like Spikes from the likes of Skarmory or blocks spin. Although even Flying Arceus can fall from the heavens, birds are a level above Arceus in terms of hierarchy. Reason? Arceus has no wings and those seemingly celestial arches across its back are like destroyed bird cages. This is a tell-tale sign of the origin of birds. Birds were once brutally caged and harassed by Arceus, but they gathered their strength and blasts holes in Arceus, paving way for their freedom. Thankfully, Arceus plummets like a falling star in the face of his own strongest creation, the obese phoenix known as Ho-Oh. Cry all you want to save Arceus, for when the time comes when the king of birds, Ho-Oh rise from the ashes, birds will one day dominate the skies and Arceus shall vanquish swifter than the tempest of a thousand gales. Now that is a long introduction about the origin of birds, and here’s the team. Note: This team is competitive and has won multiple battles and mostly losing to hax ( 50+ wins), more efficient than many teams. It is also a fantastic way to discover the hidden qualities of underrated pokemon found in every tier as Ubers allows the use of any pokemon. Picking 6 out of so many viable birds to make a team was a tough task, so please enjoy or you might just regret getting marauded by birds! The original idea came from the mighty Poppy who once fell victim to the birds of prey. Even Donkey respects the team as as he too lost to this team in a tight bird fight. ----- Team Birds!       -----  Metal Bird Rio Skarm Skarmory (M) @ Custap Berry Trait: Sturdy EVs: 4 Def / 252 HP / 252 Spd Jolly Nature - Spikes - Stealth Rock - Whirlwind - Taunt Skarmory was always the leader of team birds. He was the bravest of them all always sacrificing his life to give the advantage to the squack of birds. Spikes is straight forward, if you want to weaken those fat monsters, a.k.a Groudon and Kyogre, Spikes is just needed. If you use this metallic bird SPIKES is always the main move anyway. Stealth Rock is the most important move in almost every game, and our metal bird just packs all the talons it has to launch it perfectly. So trying to setup on mr.Skarm? Think again, Whirlwind your ass out. Taunt stops Forretress, Groudon and Dialga from setting up their Stealth Rock while also preventing random status. Unlike those slow fart Skarms who roam around the tier, this bird is all out about Speed. As mentioned earlier, if you want to play this team, its about Speed and power. In case Skarmory is too slow to outrun the opponent, he always eats the delicious Custap Berry before he enters the heavenly gate of birds to join Ho-Oh. Thanks to that hardcore training for millions of years, Skarmory mastered an infamous skill known today as Sturdy. No attacks save those nasty Bolt Strikes from ugly Zekrom or oily Blue Flares from feminine Reshiram can KO this bird in one hit. Blue Flare is easily absorbed by the king of birds while Bolt Strike fails to penetrate the scorpion scales of Giratina-O, the devil behind the throne. Skarmory will only retreat from the lead position when some psycho Deoxys-S shows up, which is when fellow bird Shaymin-S takes his place. Deoxys-A sometimes wield ExtremeSpeed to bypass Skarm's amazing Speed, which is when a switch to Giratina-O is needed to save Skarmory and his berry if needed. Sometimes those nightmarish Darkrai show their ugly hair up in the lead spot, and Shaymin-S will too lead the team or a switch to Giratina-O is required to take the Sleep. There's no time for Roosting, Skarmory needs to get those SPIKES ASAP! Roosting are for pussy steel birds who are just reluctant to sacrifice their lives for the team.  The King of Avians Ho-Oh @ Life Orb Trait: Regenerator EVs: 216 HP / 252 Atk / 40 Spd Adamant Nature - Brave Bird - Roost - Sacred Fire - Substitute Ah, Ho-Oh the fat turkey needs no explanation as she lives in Ubers haven anyway. Currently holding the tittle as strongest bird in the sun, not even Arceus can hit harder than those blazing Sacred Fires that can melt Groudon the lava dino, and Ho-Oh is braver than anything else known to science. Those flying Brave Birds rip through walls like they are made of leaves, as even the Great Wall Giratina will fall to 3 consecutive Brave Birds. Kyogre, the obese whale can never take 2 Brave Birds and live to tell his whale tale no matter how many defensive EVs it has. Roost is crucial to keep Ho-Oh's healthy and it allows me to tank random Ice Beams coming from shits like Genesect and Arceus. Since Ho-Oh is king he needs to stay alive and he has plenty of time to Roost up on mountains anyway. Not even modern machines can defeat the power of birds. While Ho-Oh fears rocks stabbing her in the belly, she has such huge power that most attackers don't even dare switching in, add in that sexy 50% burn rate and you got a monster. Substitute is only for setting up on unlucky metals called Ferrothorn and Forretress. Those bagworms are no match for the talons of birds so they will likely retreat netting me a free setup. Regenerator is obvious and since Ho-Oh is a phoenix, it really fits her well. You have to creep your Speed when riding your Ho-Oh or those behemoths on land will try to stab you with their Stone Edges. Thanks to the Orb of Life, Ho-Oh gets the crucial 2HKOes on Groudon with her signature move and completely obliterates Arceus in the sun. Those ancient Rock Arceus will be hard to dealt with but those aren't the most common sight today. One day Ho-Oh will rise again to be king of Ubers smashing Arceus along the way. Oh, everyone loves using Ho-Oh despite those shortcomings. Unfortunately they are no birds who can directly take on Kyogre, so prediction and sacrifice will be needed to deal with it. Latias the girly Dragon is too useless to be reincarnated as a bird, so she cannot be considered for the team. New discovery! Ho-Oh went on an argument with Groudon, because mr.Groudumb didn't want to share his sunlight with the birds. Ho-Oh got angry and summon his own sunlight instead, and as such Sunny Day was an acceptable move on this Ho-Oh depending on the situation, it can easily foil things like Beartic and Kingdra. When using Sunny Day, leftovers will be the better option for optimum bulk, you can even setup a Sunny Day in Kyogre's face as long as you are faster and a retreat to Latios is a must when facing a Scarf headed Kyogre.  Half Hedgehog, half Dog, 100% Bird Shaymin-Sky @ Choice Scarf Trait: Serene Grace EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef Timid Nature - Leaf Storm - Air Slash - Seed Flare - Hidden Power Ice / Healing Wish When it comes to Speed, nothing can beat the swift Shaymin-S, protector of the forest of birds. Although that Deoxys-S can go evil and wear a Scarf to outrun it, those aren't the most common thing around. Since Skarmory cannot deal with Deoxys-S leads, Shaymin-S takes his place and flinches that psycho to death about 58% of the time. Now even Kyogre will flee at the sight of Shaymin-S fearing those pretty flowers of hers. Shaymin-S might have shit defenses, but her combination of power, Speeed and sheer annoyance is a great addition to the team. Not even Swift Swim Kabutops or Kingdra can match the blazing Speed of Scarf Shaymin-S as both failed to master the flying technique. Air Slash displays Shaymin-S's ninja-like skills to surprise the opponent till their jaws drop while Earth Power is just to squash little Metagross and Jirachi. Hidden Power Ice is now used over Earth Power because Metagross is rare and defensive Jirachi is too bulky to be KOed without Specs. With an Ice move, Rayquaza can never enjoy sweeping this team with his ugly Dragon Dance. It was originally Choice Specs but the team needs a way to deal with Deoxys-S and revenge kill weather abusers. I kept got ruined by hax, and its time to avenge the fallen birds by haxing them in return. The war between birds and land creatures has not ended, and this time Shaymin-S will release her stinky Seed Flare to smash pass Groudons, Kyogres and some occasional T.rexes who are in the way. Timid nature to outrun as many things as possible although I might change to Modest for the extra power and better chance of killing Kyogre. One may ask why set up a Storm of leaves when you can fire Seeds? The reason is simple, to OHKO that fat whale, and nope it isn't the biggest whale around ( Wailord blows ) but it is the most common one. User Smurf also suggested Healing Wish which is a good idea, so Archeops can live longer, and as always we have to respect the veterans, so sacking Shaymin-S for our old bird's life is too clutch to ignore. Archeops can tear through a lot of things without Defeatist and Shaymin-S can sacrifice herself when she is no longer needed to revenge kill things such as Kingdra.    The King Crow Honchkrow (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Insomnia EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk Lonely Nature - Brave Bird - Heat Wave - Sucker Punch - Superpower Ho-Oh might be the king of birds, but our black dull friend here is the king of crows and rule the night. Nocturnal as it is, Noctowl is almost a non-issue as one Brave Bird from Honchkrow will turn his fellow owl into Nocarcass. Despite having shit stats in every angle, Honchkrow trained his beak and courage high up in the houses or someway near urban areas. You might think crows are supposed to be weak but no! Honchkrow trained so hard it can even pick up a fight with Tyranitar the T.rex and come up on top. The reason? Honchkrow has Superpowers which can flatten even dinosaurs in one blow, examples will be Aggron and Bastiodon, both ceratopsians and urgh Rampardos. This proves that not even prehistoric dinosaurs can match the spirit of fighting in birds. Even Arceus the Extremekiller falls to Superpower. Honchkrow can really show you what a real Falcon Punch is with its powerful attacks and wide movepool. Brave Bird is simply the strongest move around because Sky Attack sucks, Honky doesn't waste time flying to the sky, he attacks STRAIGHT UP. Funny thing is he has MOXIE, a rare ability only given to those who befriended user trickroom: Gyarados, Salamence and Heracross. And no, not all birds are your friends, Honky plays dirty and evil as he will smack you with his Sucker Punch if you dare to attack it, so powerful, not even the creation of geniuses: Mewtwo can survive the onslaught. Since Honky lives in urban areas where weathers were hotter than Groudon's ass, he learned the ability to shit out heat through Heat Wave, turning would be walls such as Ferrothorn into roasted apricorns. Every kill turns Honky stronger, and thanks to those unlimited victory gained from slaughtering the featured RMT of the mentioned name, Honchkrow got even stronger than ever. I could try Insomnia again to deal with nightmares coming from Darkrai and troll Spores from Smeargle but so far with one bird who sleeps well and the fast Shaymin-S, I will leave it like that for now. In the end Honchkrow kept getting nightmares after multiple battles with Darkrai and hence, Insomnia became the chosen ability to enhance Honchkrow's training schedule so he can keep on fighting and never stop to sleep. Poppy was the original creator of birds and he once lead the birds towards freedom by defeating the mighty Gyarados.  The Devil Giratina-Origin @ Griseous Orb Trait: Levitate EVs: 24 HP / 216 Atk / 252 Def / 16 Spd Adamant Nature - Dragon Tail - Outrage - Rest - Sleep Talk Finally we came to the previous last member ( No longer the last !_! ) of this team, you might think he is no bird but he is a bird-brain! Ever wonder why Giratina-O hides beneath the real world and deep in the depths of the Distortion one? It's because Giratina-O has such low IQ he begged the birds to teach him a few lessons on how to be a true warrior. A true demon in the reversed world, Giratina-O is nothing but an overgrown serpent with zero knowledge about the world beyond its hometown, which looks like a black asshole anyway. Its no wonder he wished to be a bird: for the sake of FREEDOM, without being restricted to living in a deep hole of black material in order to keep his flimsy wings which somehow allowed him to levitate even higher than Olympic Champion Bouncer, Dragon Dance Gyarados. With such colossal HP, its a shame Giratina-O never ventured out of his world until now where he prostrated in front of the king of birds and wished to be reincarnated as a BIG bird in the future. The EVs are crazy but it serves a purpose which is to check Arceus, a rival of birds and walling shellfishes called Kabutops ( Don't listen to user lousy, Armaldo is such shit it was extinct way before the Ice Age ) and carnivorous dinosaurs such as Groudon. Giratina-O is of an Adamant nature, he never listens to advises given to him, until Ho-Oh sends him to slumber land where he learned how to abuse Rest and Sleep Talk at the same time. Because he is from the Reverse World, Giratina-O always goes on rampages, he never stops until he confuses himself which will be in 2 or 3 turns. Outrage is not surprisingly an extremely powerful attack which 2HKOes even tough combatants like Arceus and even some Lugia! Dragon Tail is because he never stops flailing around in the real world, he can't stop farting and as such he needs to fly his fat Tail around and send ground dwellings flying back to hell. Giratina-O was officially declared a member of the birds squad in the next life, and therefore he is still a ghost at the moment. Thanks to that, no Rapin Spinning attempts will prove successful against this team, ensuring Skarmory's sacrifice will not be wasted. You never argue with Giratina-O because he gives you no replies other than a slap to the face with Dragon Tail. Fellow Dragon types can't really switch in to slaughter the bird wannabe because they too fear the colossal punches of Outrage and Dragon Tail both of which have their negative effects removed when selected by Sleep Talk.  The New Bird who Succeeded Archeops Latias (Latios) (M) @ Soul Dew Trait: Levitate EVs: 176 HP / 140 SAtk / 192 Spd Timid Nature - Draco Meteor - Roost - Psyshock - Calm Mind At first glance, you might be wondering is this Latias or Latios? Well, forget classifying! They are both birds but let me tell you a secret, I am using Latios but apparently he is gay, just like some Asian celebrities trying to look more feminine for lame reasons. So, why Latios and not Latias? Latias is obviously cuter, and looks more fun so I should use her right? NO, if you are girl, you should know. We are looking for handsome manly boys as partners, why bother searching for girls LOL, who will never be of much use in the future anyway unless you are a lesbian which I don't care. EVs are always confusing if you are using this team, you gotta play like a BIRD, think like a BIRD, and act like a BIRD. No time to react, you gotta wreck them first, blow holes in them and win the game! You might be what the hell are you doing with this Latios? Here's how, Latios opens up with a powerful Draco Meteor, blast some nasty wounds on those slow land animals, retreat then attack again, think Fighter Jets dropping missiles then retreating to main base. Oh I forgot, did you remembered why dinosaurs go extinct? I lied...They never smashed their heads on the ground. It was Latios! Here's what happened, Latios was playing Beach Ball with fellow Bird Cresselia, but then Cresselia got mad for losing and froze the ball with Ice Beam. Every man will get angry when women try to cheat, as such Latios was so enraged he threw a huge fire ball, called Draco METEOR right back at poor ducky. Sadly, it missed, the meteor went off course and crashed straight into Dino Island! The impact was so severe, sandstorms, hurricanes and even a Twister sent by Lugia occurred right after the crash, leaving no hope for any dinosaur to survive. Well fellow Tyranitar lives in sandstorms but he can't seem to swim, and unfortunately got drown in a tsunami. Here's how this Latios works, fire off Draco Meteor straight, believe me its POWERFUL, despite the lack of EVs, Latios is still more powerful than fully invested Modest Kyurem-W and that will hurt almost anything not resistant to it. Calm Mind because Latios is a Calm bird, he was originally rejected due to having a flat mouth and not a beak, but he passed the test simply because he has the mind power to deal with Kyogre, the ultimate rival of birds. Kyogre can setup all the Minds he wants, but he will still lose in the end, because this Latios has Psyshock which will almost always 2HKO even the boldest Kyogre with just one boost. ~+1 140 SpA Soul Dew Latios Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Kyogre: 210-247 (51.98 - 61.13%) -- 94.92% chance to 2HKO ~+1 140 SpA Soul Dew Latios Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 200 SpD Dialga: 391-462 (96.78 - 114.35%) -- 81.25% chance to OHKO ~+0 140 SpA Soul Dew Latios Draco Meteor vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Mewtwo: 346-408 (97.74 - 115.25%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO ~+1 252 SpA Life Orb Mewtwo Ice Beam vs. 176 HP / 0 SpD Soul Dew Latios: 281-333 (81.44 - 96.52%) -- guaranteed 2HKO Draco Meteor is for dealing insane damage right from the start and is really useful to dent things, so other birds can finish them off if needed. The lack of Special Attack investment is covered up by Draco Meteor's added power compared to Dragon Pulse. While you can't sweep easily while using Draco Meteor, it is highly unlikely for Latios to sweep an entire team anyway unless they are already weakened, which is possible thanks to our favorite metal bird SKARMORY. The idea of the this Latios is different from what you already know, those bulk are really helpful, especially for tanking the badass whale's Water Spout, and Scarf Ice Beam will never 2HKO Latios anymore. Latias isn't used because of her lower power and Latios has just enough power to KO Dialga at +1, if Latias tries to copy that, she will lose way too much bulk and in the end, Latios is the better choice. Oh, some Arceus-Rock got reincarnated to deal with birds, now some players love using it to counter-team birds, here's a new bird for you to deal with: meet Latios. Since I have both Calm Mind and Roost, Latios will easily win the war with Rocky Horse, unless they have Roar or something, Psyshock hits them on their softer side. What about Mewtwo, the psycho cat? Well, Ice Beam tops out at 64.92%, meaning if it attacks Latios, I will survive the hit and OHKO back guaranteed due to Life Orb recoil. +1 Ice Beam falls just sort of an OHKO, so I can still potentially beat mr.Cat. Poor Archeops was reluctantly removed for Latios, it was a tough decision to make, but Archeops is just too old to join the war now. I was originally using Modest Latios because Latios is a modest bird, he never tries to boast anything, and apparently they are really smart birds who can even change looks! The reason for that modesty? Ho-Oh once punished Latios who tries to display his Calm Mind in front of the birds, and of course that was a one hit knock out blow. From that day on, Latios became a Timid bird, shy from almost every other bird besides Cresselia who is a girl. Remember Tobes KACAW Previous Member: Archeops Archeops will forever be remembered as a hero for bird nation, his magnificent achievements will be stoned into Edges near Duck Pond where Cresselia had sex with Darkrai before being stopped by Ho-Oh. The intense victory over Aerodactyl was something no other birds can accomplish, not even Ho-Oh as Ho-Oh was still an overgrown turkey without regenerator back then. It was only thanks to Archeops, the BIRD of POWA, gave the birds freedom since the Jurassic era, and for now, Archeops is living in a world free of dirty land creatures: Jurassic Skies!   The First Bird ever Flew Archeops (Archeops) @ Flying Gem Trait: Defeatist EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef Jolly Nature - Acrobatics - Head Smash - Earthquake - Rock Slide Say hello to the first bird ever evolved, as mentioned in the intro, he lives in a savage world infested with slumbering dinosaurs and ammonites who are such cowards because they prefer hiding in underwater caverns. You might think this is a joke but nope, this bird honed his skills way longer than any bird have, thus he has all the tools to RIP things to shreds. As the earliest bird, Archeops trained longer than any of his avian friends, and as such he has the highest power of all birds. Base 140 Attack makes even Ho-Oh jealous and is good enough to boast it even in front of dinosaurs such as Aggron, Aerodactyl and Tyranitar. OK, this is a well trained bird, it can do Acrobats! Acrobatics is such an amazing move it OHKOes so many things it's not even funny, base 110 power + Flight Gem will flatten even Kyogre in a single hit after Stealth Rock damage. Those fatter whales will be taken out in 2 hits should they try to tank this prehistoric avian. Thanks to repeated attempts at bashing walls in the Cretaceous era, and head butting with fellow Aerodactyl, Archeops finally learned the world's greatest Rock move ever, HEAD SMASH. Smashing Rocks have became a normal daily routine for Archeops, and now he is a full fledged Lugia/Ho-Oh/Rayquaza slayer. If you want to hide your hides behind the cute little Dragons of yours, all hope will be lost. If you are forgetting something, Archeops ruled the skies approximately 156 million years ago, he is a trained pilot and clocks in at base 110 Speed, outpacing even modern space traveler Palkia or prehistoric land shark Garchomp. Any Lati using Hidden Power Fire will automatically lose the speed tie and simply get smashed. Rock Slide > Stone Edge because Archeops never learned how to throw stones accurately dated back in the Jurassic. On the other hand, he can slide down Rocks which will land a hit 9 out of 10 times, a pretty decent feat especially when you just need to flatten a trembling Rayquaza. Defeatist is a wish came true for dinosaur fan Aerodactyl, who begged Arceus to weaken Archeops. Sadly, nothing can be done to solve it and Head Smash is the best suicide move now, due to the Explosion nerve. No wonder dinosaurs are extinct, they simply smash their heads on the ground, and even a nerved Meteor Shower brought them to extinction while the birds pulled through by hiding behind the wings of their king. Ice Attacks freeze Archeops to death, however Ho-Oh is a great candidate to tank it and Giratina-O will save Archeops from stormy weathers. I plan to give mr.Gene an Attack boost so Ice Beam does not get a power up to freeze my Birds, Iron Head is a non issue as Ho-Oh can take it as can Giratina-O. ------ Story by user ~JirachiCelebiMewtwo: It was a sunny day outside. Ho-Oh was flying in the skies, and Lugia was sleeping on an island. FlyingCeus could see all this from the top of the Sky Pillar, a place he'd share with his fellow roommate Rayquaza. That day, everything was going well until Aerodactyl came in. The same Aerodactyl who asked for Archeops to be weakened and get Defeatist. This time, he wanted ALL KACAWS gone. Rayquaza, a friend of birds, tried to hit him with his powerful Outrage, but Aerodactyl was faster and banded, and slayed Rayquaza by stabbing him with Stones. FlyingCeus came with a Judgment upon the pterodactyl, but it wasn't very effective and FlyingCeus got defeated by those flying Stone Edges as well. After this defeat, he was forced to secretly give his throne to Aerodactyl, new king of KACAWS, and had to imprison all Birds, who finally managed to escape. In the end, Aerodactyl also got defeated by the legion of birds, more specifically by Archeops, who killed him with a critical hit Head Smash in the face. So yeah, Aerodactyl is evil and Arceus-Flying was forced to hurt the birds. And here you have the team of birds! I am sad I will be leaving soon and probably will not be active until someday, so hope you like this and this team is GOOD! But there's more!......Coming up Birds who once fought with their lives for the freedom of bird nation, but ultimately removed due to their severe flaws: ------- BIRDS who are worth using!  Tornadus-T When we think of big birds, Tornadus-T will come straight to your mind, however Tornadus-T has something horrible to inform the birds. He can't work well outside of the rain, or away from the ocean! If you are a bird you can't be relying on whales to support you, that's just a simple NO for a bird. Worse of all, Tornadus-T betrayed the birds and joined forces with the whales so he can BS spam Hurricanes to wreck havoc freely. His average Special Attack still won't save it from getting RIPPED by Ho-Oh, who will not forgive this shitty attempt of betrayal. Sometimes Tornadus-T tries to show off by blasting balls of Focus, but those never amazed the birds as they all resist the noob showcase of power. After some extra testing, Tornadus-T learned his mistake, he realized he was a bird in therian forme, and so he became a solid choice for any bird team. Due to the prevalence of Kyogre in the tier, spamming Hurricane was pretty easy and in case he has to face a sun team, Heat Wave becomes a powerful Attack especially against Groudon and Jirachi who thinks it is safe to come in. Regenerator was a big part to mr.Tornado's success and U-turn was a huge help to birds by giving momentum.  Salamence Say hi to the newest member of the elite birds squad! Thanks to user scorpdestroyer, Salamence gained much attention from the birds, and eventually became one. So Salamence is no bird? He has a lifestyle similar to one, he starts his sad life as a little chick trying to fly but failure was inevitable. After multiple attempts, success was finally achieved and Bagon the bird wannabe, perfected his flying skills and joined the birds! Birds always wanted someone to wear a Scarf, and Salamence was the perfect choice for it, Moxie truly made it a real boss when it comes to rampaging. Not even the rebellious Jolly Lugia's fatass can switch in on Salamence as long as rocks are flying lest she wants to get shredded. In a world so infested with fat Dragons, Kyurems, Rayquaza, Palkia, Giratina-O, Reshiram and Zekrom, Salamence has no fear for them and instead rapes them all with his signature RIP: Outrage! The bird nation also enjoyed Salamence's Water-resistance and access to Fire Blast to fry potential bird-blockers, and that's not all, Salamence has a license to simply start Earthquakes with his fat but tough tail. The Claws of mr.Salamander rivals that of Ho-Oh's talons, meaning it can RIP things to pieces even Kyogre's thick hide after a boost of two. ~scorpdestroyer - Arceus the bird harasser captured it and demoted it to a small impling thing known as Bagon. However it did not forget the state of its previous life and strived to be able to fly again. Through its determination, it became a huge flying dragon and joined the birds in their quest against Arceus.  Lati twins Both begged Ho-Oh and joined the birds :) They are now the new Kyogre checks. With such cool Special stats, these flying chickens are real birds without beaks, think them as futuristic birds! Despite their small size, especially by big bird standards, they have humongous firepower! Draco Meteor is strong enough to OHKO daddy Groudon straight up while Kyogre gets squashed by either Thunder or trip that fat flying fish with Grass Knot. Another advantage is these birds aren't even weak to Stealth Rock, and they maintained some qualities only birds have: Speed, Power, immunity to Spikes, have feathers, two legged and they can Fly high. With so many Arceus forms to deal with especially those Rocky idiots, Calm Mind Lati twins can easily beat them one-on-one, making them even more invaluable for the bird nation in order to win the war against evil monsters living below. Someday, one of them might just replace Archeops in the main bird squad, as Archeops is getting old, things need to change or you will be left out crying for mommy.  Cresselia You must be thinking what is this Moon doing in bird country right? If you look carefully, Cresselia is a moon duck and ducks are BIRDS. Those defensive stats makes even Arceus jealous, and Cresselia has just the right movepool to use them well. Unlike other birds, Cresselia has a known niche in Ubers and she checks dangerous shits like Palkia, Calm Mind Arceus and walls Groudon easily. She is also capable of setting up dual screens to cushion incoming attacks, making her a real supporter for bird team. Thunder Wave and Toxic can help slow down threats especially those weather abusers such as Kingdra who can be threatening against birds. Sadly, Cresselia is too fat, she can't Roost on top of anything, leaving Moonlight as her only choice of recovery. Rains are so common in Ubers, Cresselia will usually live shorter than expected but she has a free switch in on Groudon and many other threats making her a viable choice when using birds. Another advantage is Cresselia isn't weak to either Electric or Ice, allowing her to stop things such as Thunder Latias but Cresselia is a coward when it comes to sheer might, she is afraid of BUGS, thankfully bugs are usually free food to birds, and it should be okay. Ho-Oh loves eating bugs! --- Birds who FAILED In this section of birds, you will see a list of tried and true set of birds although none of them made it into the team, they should be remembered. Fellow Swanna, Pidgeot, Noctowl and Swellow didn't even made it into the list because they were eliminated in the preliminary round. Braviary was a close contender but was sadly defeated by fellow bird Staraptor in the Speed test.  Staraptor A great attack stat to bully ground dwellings, and Speed faster than the mechainsect, Staraptor is no small BIRD! Reckless was such a cool ability it further powers up his painful Double Edge and sickening Brave Birds which rapes Genesect in one hit ( No insect can live a Brave Bird after SR ), the recoil is nothing because you have to sacrifice anyway when you are in the army. Remember someone said about birds mastering the art of Close Combat? Here's one, Staraptor can use kung fu fighting to demolish would be counters such as the aforementioned dinosaurs and Ferro the Nutcase. So, why did this bird failed to enter the team? For a big bird, Staraptor simply has shit defenses and unimpressive defensive typing. Ultimately, Honchkrow the fat crow was selected over poor Raptor, because Staraptor was too kind to be a Sucker and failed to learn punch like one. In fact, Honchkro was so evil he can switch in directly on divine Mewtwo's seemingly unstoppable Psytrikes which will squash poor Staraptor.  Empoleon With its unique typing, Empoleon was a strong candidate to put up those nasty rocks in the opponent's battlefield. However, Empoleon was such as slow pussy, he can't even outrun fat Tyrannosaurs and worse of all Surf can't even drown Tyranitar in 2 hits. Empoleon was originally considered for its ability to setup rocks and deflect Draco Meteors like a penguin tanks missiles, which is why Empoleon never does that role efficiently, lack of reliable recovery and subpar stats sucks. Last thing, is as a bird, Empoleon can't even Fly, well that's acceptable if you are penguin but he lacks feathers, now that's BS if you consider yourself a bird. The worst thing happened when Empoleon tried to challenge Ho-Oh as king of birds, he claims himself as king by wearing a fake crown. Unfortunately, Ho-Oh eliminated poor Empoleon with a single Sacred Fire and little pororo never emerged out of his igloo ever again.  Blaziken Yeah, Blaziken, the first ever chicken to make it to Ubers. Sadly, Blaziken also betrayed the birds and ganged up with Groudon instead. Unlike Ho-Oh who can work in any weather, Blaziken wants to play dirty and joined forces with land creatures, and thus he never obtained freedom and is limited to the land only unlike other birds who can fly. Blaziken doesn't even have wings, a key feature if you want to be a bird. His Jump Kicks were risky attempts especially when he tried to knock down some birds who are flying mid-air, and thankfully Blaziken never learned how to use Ice Beams and Outrage leaving it walled to hell and forth by the new recruit of birds: Giratina-O.  Altaria Unlike Latias, Altaria is a true bird, and while her wings are made of cotton, they are durable enough to withstand an Ice Beam from Grass Arceus living below in that smelly forest. Thanks to Cloud Nine, Altaria was once the stopper of weather abusers, shrugging off even Specs Kyogre's Water Spout and stalling it out with Roost. As with the rest of the birds in this list, Altaria has her shortcomings. She can't hit hard enough just like fellow bird Lugia who got exiled into the oceans for teaming up with that fatass whale. 4x weakness to Ice is sad, especially when they are so common in the tier, and the Dragon tribe kept on bullying Altaria with their superior stats and power. No outclassed bird can join the elite bird team and as such Altaria was sadly removed.  Zapdos Firing cataclysmic bolts of lightning and as the ruler of thunderstorms, Zapdos's power is as strong as Zeus's Thunderbolt but sadly Zappy never learned how to be a humble bird. His massive reliance on rain is a fake story once told by little birds, as Zapdos can emit Heat Waves hotter than Groudon's Fiery punches. In the sun Zapdos can still use Heat Wave to deal decent damage as long as he is wearing Spectacles to enhance his vision. Stealth Rock weak was never a good thing for birds, and Zapdos hates it to death. Rocks flying everywhere pretty much blocks Zapdos's ability to fly around with Volt Switch. While once the king of an era called RBY, Zapdos was so cocky he simply fires Thunders everywhere to show off. Unfortunately, birds never enjoy thunderstorms because it will wet their clean feathers, as such a complain was sent to Ho-Oh in order to eliminate Zapdos. Poor Zapdos didn't stand a chance in Ubers because he isn't exactly fast nor bulky and has limited movepool. If Zapdos learned how to shoot Ice Beams then it might be a different story but for now, he lives in the cage of failure. I mean he can't even learn Hurricane, when he can cause Thunderstorms :[ --------  After reading this RMT, I hope you feel like the Delibird in the picture. Birds Rule! KACAW! Oh, Delibird could one day join the team but first he must learn how to fly high and hit HARD. Losing to a puny Cyndaquil using Tickle was a horrible first impression although being able to spin RAPIDly was something no other birds are capable of doing, Delibird simply lacks the skills to be Santabird thanks to those awful stats. Present was not really a powerful attack, worse Ho-Oh never likes presents in the first place because she burns them all. And so poor Delibird was banished by Ho-Oh to the cold unforgiving lands of Ice Path. No matter what birds these teams are using, you have to pack Skarmory and Giratina-O, barring the only Honchkrow test because that was supposed to be created in the era when birds and land animals were best dudes just like Furry and Poppy. Skarmory is just mandatory to launch hazards into the battle field and is sadly just the only bird capable of doing it well. Of course, you need a Ghost-type to save the hazards or it will just be a waste sacrificing Skarmory, and Giratina-O is the only Ghost that has some bird features and can Fly.

Giratina-O can tank two Water Spouts from full health but yeah Kyogre is really the biggest annoyance around. I can consider Specially Defensive Lugia but its weak :[

How do you exactly deal with the Kyurem formes and that massive SR weakness? You may consider using specially defensive Ho-oh to deal with Kyu-W (Kyu-B is actually more dangerous to your team but it's much less common) and Xatu to have some sort of defense against SR.

Kyurem forms are slow, and they die to hazards too. Non Scarf ones are dealt with by Archeops, Honchkrow can pick them off with Sucker Punch. Ho-Oh can take on Scarf Kyurem-W fairly well. Every team has weaknesses and yeah SR weak is just bad. Xatu is too slow and doesn't do damage, it was considered earlier but removed later.
Xatu can't really prevent hazards from going up all the time, and it is better for me to just hit them hard. Thanks for rating. You can watch the replays to see how to deal with Stealth Rock as good as possible in order to win.

Kacaw team without Xatu. Good God. You are fucking crazy Anyways moving on. You've got some Zekrom weakness which isn't surprising. Bolt Strike + Coverage can do a real number on your team. Darkrai, can Spam Dark Void and with some luck set up. But then ScarfMin should handle it, still a nasty surprise lategame if it catches you off guard or comes in on a revenge. Scizor is a huge pain, Apart from Ho-oh it can land huge dents all over your team. Shaymin again may be able to kill it (air Slash Blows), but it's really a gambit, because you're a 2hko at least and with rocks it's essentially kamikaze. But Damn. Solid Team. And Fuck you. (lol) Everyone will be stealing this team now and I'll have to face this in ubers for the next 2-3 weeks.

Dragon-types in general seem to be very dangerous (i.e. DD Rayquaza) especially because your only Steel-type is Skarmory, which appears to be a sort of suicide lead. Do you just use smart prediction to prevent anyone such as the aforementioned DD Rayquaza from sweeping your team?

I think Giratina-O walls Scizor lol, and Scizor is fucked by hazards. It can't really touch Skarmory, who sets up hazards easily in his face.
Heat Wave from Honhkrow rapes Scizor, but yeah those U-turns and Bullet Punches are hard to deal with. I can try back Insomnia Honchkrow lol, I was originally using it to deal with Darkrai and Smeargle, so I should use it back probably. The thing about Rayquaza is it finds no setup opportunities against the team, and Shaymin-S can still outrun it, maybe I should run Hidden Power Ice for it but Air Slash 2HKOes after Stealth Rock. Honchkrow can Sucker Punch Rayquaza for a lot of damage and Archeops beats Rayquaza one-on-one easily. If it somehow manages to setup then it will do a lot of damage sadly.

OK, that's a really cool suggestion, sacking Shaymin-S is perfectly worth it to save Archeops. Shaymin-S was not a real bird until 2013 anyway, saving veterans are way more important.
I can sack Shaymin-S if the opponent no longer has fast threats like Kingdra and maybe Mewtwo. Sucker Punch OHKOes Mewtwo thankfully.

i would try a flame charge ho-oh with enough speed to outspeed mewtwo at + 1, a specs skymin, and insomnia honchkrow. this increases the overall offensive nature of the team and i feel is a better fit.
obviously a hugely successful team, great job.

I think you have problems with Palkia and special attackers. You need a spiner. Claydol is a 100% Doll Bird owyeh. I don't see other weaks or holes but you need play careful with this team for the steal rocks. Nice team :)

I might try out Flame Charge Ho-Oh then, it seems like a wonderful idea to notch up Ho-Oh's Speed and sweep their team. Thanks, that was an awesome suggestion from a top rater.
Specs Shaymin-s is a strong wall breaker, and I guess I should try it again but Deoxys-S was getting irritating, stopping it 58% of the time looks good and Scarf allows me to revenge Kingdra, Excadrill and friends. I changed back to Insomnia, was using it earlier anyway. Yeah Palkia is a bitch to deal with, and I rely on sheer power to kill it, especially with Archeops, since I outrun non Scarf Palkia. Scarf ones are usually walled by Ho-Oh or killed by Shaymin-S, Giratina-O can take any non-Dragon attack. Claydol doesn't look like a bird sadly, it is also really weak to Kyogre but I will consider it thanks :) Yeah this team needs prediction. Thank you for rating. Also shrang, Tornadus-T was considered earlier lol but dropped out for Archeops. It relies on rain to spam Hurricane and I need something to beat Rayquaza, Ho-Oh, Lugia and other random things like Latias lol.

What about Whirlwind over Sub on Ho-Oh? It allows you to rack up entry hazard damage on the opponents much like Giratina-O and Skarm. It also phazes out whatever is switching in causing more hazard damage, besides LO+Sub+Brave Bird is a lot of recoil

Whirlwind is a nice move on Ho-Oh, but getting up a free Sub on those common Ferrothorn and Forretress is just too good to pass up. Ho-Oh can still handle the recoil thanks to Roost + Regenerator although that will be hard with Stealth Rock up. Thanks.

I like the idea of Healing Wish on Shaymin-S and Earth Power doesn't seem to be really useful. Any rare time you would actually want to use it, having another healthy bird would probably deal with the threat better anyways, lol.

Added Healing Wish and remove Earth Power. Scarf Shaymin-S turns out to be better than Specs. Choice Specs Shaymin-S does shine in destroying defensive teams though with the much higher power. Thanks, love the picture a lot too.

Sadly Giratina-O survives 1 Specs Ice Beam and Ho-Oh survives 1 Specs Thunder. Kyogre is a slow shit, anyone on this team outruns it. Archeops OHKOes it, Shaymin-S Storms it, Honchkrow smacks it with Brave Bird/Sucker Punch depending what set it is, Giratina-O tanks Surfs, and it will kill one or two pokemon when predicted right and that's all.

Kyogre is faster than both Giratina and Ho-Oh and both are OHKO's with stealth rocks in play and your skarmory lead and lack of spinner pretty much guarantees stealth rocks on your side of the field. However, I am new to ubers and am not good at ubers battling so all this theory might not be correct in-game. Although I do have experience facing specs Kyogre so I believe I know something about how dangerous those are.
