The Tournament of Superstars
Introduction:
This tournament is INVITE-ONLY!
This tournament is meant to showcase the best of the best. The format and players are what separates this tournament from others. This format is meant to forgive a few losses and reward consistent victories. The invites were decided by a panel of highly respected battlers. The first 32 players that confirm will play, and everyone after that will be a sub.
Standard Rules:
- Sleep Clause
- Evasion Clause
- Species Clause
- OHKO Clause
- Self-KO Clause
- Timed Battle*
- Yanmega is banned from UU matches
- Soul Dew Clause, expect in Ubers
- Arceus is banned in all matches, even Ubers
Other Rules:
- If one person holds a group back, and the rest of the group and I agree, that person will automatically get last place.
- When a substitute player comes in, they'll assume the player that they're playing for's points, position, and group.
- When a group is done, they post their standings on the current round's thread i.e. 3-0. If there is a dispute, I'll request logs, so winners keep the log in case.
- If two players were to have the same point total after 3 elimination matches, then a sudden death match will be played to determine who advance who doesn't.
Round 1:
All 32 players will be placed into groups of 4, so 8 total. Players will play everyone else in their group, so 3 matches per group. You'll have 3 groups to play as well, so 9 matches to play in round 1. Players will allocate points based on order of finish:
- 1st, which is 3 wins, nets 10 points
- 2nd, which is 2 wins, nets 7 points
- 3rd, which is 1 win, nets 4 points
- Last, which is 0 wins, nets 0 points
Rounds 2 and 3:
The second and third rounds of the tournament are Best of 3, consisting of one OU match, one UU match, and one Ubers match. Players may select their order of their matches, but they must report which tiers they played if only two of the matches were required.
Finale:
The final round consist of a Best of 5 match. The players will play three OU matches, one UU match, and one Ubers match. The first player to win three of five will be crowned the champion of the superstars.
