I downloaded the shoddy battle exe from download.com and it came up with an error message when I tried installing it.

Does anyone know how I can fix all these problems?
Also I had this once before and it worked fine for me but I uninstalled it.

Edit- I installed the java package listed in the document aswell.
And I read a thread with someone having the same problem, I do not have a trojan, or any kind of virus for that matter.

Edit2- Sorry.
I have just gone to add/remove programs, after uninstalling shoddy for the second time.
There is somthing just called shoddy battle, and I click remove and it comes up with an error message saying ' Unable to completely uninstall application ' What does that mean?

Any suggestions if this same thing is happening and you are 100% sure you don't have a trojan?
What makes you so sure? Check your DNS settings and confirm that your router is where your computer is doing DNS queries. My bet is that it won't be, since you have the trojan. Mysterious things don't happen inexplicably.

Neotoxicblitz, you probably have the same trojan. Here are the details:

I highly doubt I have a trojan, Spayware terminator would have picked it up after the full scan I do every week.
I do not use porn sites themself, I use torrents instead, and all have been 100% safe as I use peer gaurdian aswell.

Is there any other possible way that this could be fixed?

Here's an idea: check your DNS settings and see if there is a dubious DNS server listed. If there is, you have the trojan. The odds are very high that you have the trojan, no matter how doubtful you are.

mingot said he may make some screenshots and instructions for verifying you have the trojan (on Windows) later today, so if you are still doubtful, you can wait until then and then follow those instructions.

There's your proof you have the trojan then.

Those are the trojan DNS servers right there.

*sigh* I know =( Apparently I was wrong.

I just checked them and clicked fix, I ran the scan again and they weren't there, are they totaly gone or still in my registry?
The shoddy battle website still isn't loading for me, I cleared my cache today aswell.

Edit-I thought that a trojan was a much higher threat than just a server change thing. =/ My bad.

Damn this chicken madras is making ny eyes water... and i'm used to hot food like this x)

Assuming you've actually correctly removed the rogue DNS servers, you still need to clear your DNS cache, not just your web browser's cache. I think the command to to do this on Windows is

Code:
ipconfig /flushdns
You can either execute this via start -> run or at a command terminal.

Obviously your installation is in a corrupt state. Once you have completely resolved the trojan issue, then clear your Java cache. But make sure you have fully resolved the trojan first.

Also, if the Shoddy Battle site is still not loading, you must still have some traces of the rogue DNS server somewhere. Maybe try restarting your computer. But I'm not a trojan removal expert.

i can battle with a team i made perfectly fine, but the battle window doesn't show up when i try to battle with a randomly made team.
any thoughts why?

the hover-over tool-tips are showing up for me (globally) as nothing but empty boxes. i've tried uninstalling->reinstalling, clearing my temporary files and updating my java to the latest build all to no avail.

any suggestions?

In addition to this, i'm curious. Is it ingrained into shoddy's source to have hyperlinks auto-open in Internet Explorer regardless of whatever your default browser is set to? I have my default browser set to Firefox but for some unknown reason shoddy insists on opening my links in Internet Explorer.

You can set the browser to open links with in the Java Control Panel. It automatically uses Firefox for me, but there is a setting if it doesn't for you.

I don't know about your tool tip problem.

I downloaded shoddy 2 months ago and everything was working well! But in the last 2 weeks after the new shoddy improvements i mean the backgrounds and other cool stuff the game starts freezing for a while! I know that this may be caused by the many users of shoddy i just wanted to report it and i fully understand that the first priority is shoddy 2!

Is it possible to install Shoddy Battle in mobile OS like Windows Mobile for Smartphones?

I had an event earlier when I found a battle, but my pokemon started at 0%, and when my opponent attacked, it said that there was no target, and told me to switch, even though in my switch tab it said all of my pokemon were at 100%

This would be SO cool.

So...when are crobat and shaymin going to be banned from the UU ladder now that they're both BL? I was going to put crobat on my team but refrained when I heard that they were getting banned, but I just fought a crobat and just barely came out on top because of I didn't have one of my own.

Defog doesn't blow away spikes on shoddy. Why?
Defog gets rid of the spikes you set up (on the opponents side), not the spikes on your side. In doubles if you target your partner, it gets rid of them on your side.

It was delayed because of discussion in this thread. Not sure what's going on anymore though.

Where can I find info on unrated battles?
They have their own stats in the statistics thread; if you're wondering what they are, they're any battles not fought on the ladder, such as random battles, tournament matches, and those random challenges anyone happens to accept.

EDIT: Oh, thanks for clarifying. I can't answer though, I've been wondering the same thing for awhile.
