I WAS UNAWARE THEY UPDATED THIS GAME AND A FRIEND TOLD ME AND NOW LOOK WHAT HAPPENED

in addition to whatever they had before there's a whole new slew of upgrades along with a santa in the bottom left corner that you can upgrade which will start spawning reindeer at a certain point in the game (which are much like golden cookies and grant you a massive amount of cookies if you click on them)

i was also unaware that there was a halloween update so naturally wrinklers were a huge surprise to me
 
Ugh I really want to waste lots of time on this again now there's more content. >.>

To be honest, it was the massive dearth of real content leading up to the Halloween update that failed to sustain my interest.

Good to see Orteil is still developing this!
 
How to Hack Cookie Clicker!

What you need:
  • A brain,
  • An internet connection

  1. Go to the Cookie Clicker game!
  2. Press F12 once you get there. (Or right click on the page and then click inspect element).
  3. Click on the Console Button on the right of the menu bar!
  4. Copy and Paste this code:

Yeah, we all know that cheating is fairly simple for this game, but that really defeats the whole purpose of Cookie Clicker if you hack in cookies (there's an achievement for that so I guess it's okay once?). Point is part of the reason it's addicting is having to wait/click for your cookies.

Really happy about the new update - I restarted a couple months ago so I could quit and focus on finals, but here I am again.

I broke 1 quintillion shortly after the Christmas update hit and then took a break. Prisms and the new upgrades are pretty presh/cool, and the sweethearts-inspired golden cookies are amazing


i may very well reset again soon, because my prestige will probably skyrocket, although with this update i am at 10 trillion per second so even idling has decent yields compared to my prices still and i am a bit attached

edit: i just sat there screencapping the headlines for a couple minutes b/c they are so damn charming

debatable whether elder pledge is worth getting after the V-Day update since before it was incredible if you could get elder frenzy + reindeer (you'd get several hundred quintillion cookies)

now that reindeer are gone it may be better staying in elder pledge constantly to get cookie frenzy + click frenzy

Also, neat new upgrade I found!
After resetting the game, I eventually came across an upgrade I hadn't seen before called the season switcher, which pretty much lets you purchase a seasonal event for 24 hours and get any achievements you may have missed

Yeah, you get that one after you reach 5000 heavenly chips, which is nothing if you've been playing from the beginning and even now you could probably get that with less than a week's effort.

Right now my current goal is to get every building to 200 (except fingers which requires 240 to get all the upgrades) and hit 7777 golden cookies for the shadow achievement. With the current price of the last three buildings, though, that first one's not gonna happen anytime soon without another reset for more Heavenly Chips, but then I have to farm up everything again... And then unlock all the different seasonal stuff again with that Season Switcher.

Anyone know if there's a replacement for Cookie Monster, or at least something that allows me to keep track of how many Heavenly Chips I will earn on my next reset? Cookie Monster hasn;t been updated since before the Halloween update, so I don't know if it'll still be accurate or not... It definitely isn't accurate on the golden cookie timers at least.

I feel like you can't get 200 buildings very quickly, realistically, at least without cheating. It takes literally forever to get that many cookies and all you do is reset + get a lot of frenzy + lucky, which kinda... kills any fun the game might have otherwise.
