Here is the "Things To Do List" for us to get completed before we begin CAP 10. At a high level, the three things that need to be done are:
The CAP project has a very rigorous process, and there are a lot of rules and conventions associated with every step. As the CAP project has grown over the years, one of the single biggest problems for new project members is that they can't figure out what the heck is going on, and they don't know what they are supposed to do in order to participate. The CAP Website was meant to be a one-stop-shop for all the information anyone could ever want/need regarding the CAP Project. The website is wonderful for finding out about CAP pokemon, but it's still sorely lacking information about the project, process, and community. Before we kick-off CAP 10, I want to attempt to fill in the information gap on the website.
Here is the detailed "To Do List" for the CAP Project:
(items with an asterisk * do not need to be complete before CAP 10 starts, but will be worked along with the other items)
I have my initials next to the items that I am working on. All the other stuff is currently unassigned. Qualified help would be appreciated. To be honest, many members of the project can't help too much with this. If your first thought is, "I don't know what to do, but I'm willing to help" -- then I really appreciate the willingness, but you probably can't help out much here. However, you CAN certainly track this thread, and see how things pan out, and perhaps give a hand later on, or on a later project. The people who can help with this work are the seasoned contributors to the CAP project, and they know how and where they can pitch in.
I'll update this OP as we complete items on the list.
- Finish CAP Revisions
- CAP Policy Review
- Get the Process Guide completed

- Add BBCode Links - These steps have standard text that should be copied into the OP of the thread for the step. There is often formatting that can be time-consuming for the TL to recreate when copy-pasting into the OP. So, we provide links to a special document that includes all the nice bbCode tags to make the OP copy-paste a quick and simple operation for the TL. Look at this page for an example of the kind of link I am referring to.
