Hitmonlee got Sucker Punch, letting it have a powerful priority move on the Choice sets. Wall usage has increased a ton in Platinum, and Hitmonlee can really fuck up shit in UU. The sets were also painfully similar, so I mixed things up, most notably the EVs, to make the difference, and other stuff too.
- Changed LO set to function better as a independent sweeper.

Capable of OHKOing or 2HKOing literally everything in UU, this is without a doubt Hitmonlee's most destructive set, allowing it to rip through teams thanks to its amazing coverage and the boost from Life Orb.

Close Combat allows Hitmonlee to absolutely destroy Steelix, easily 2HKOing the standard Steelix and possibly OHKOing a weakened Steelix, while also destroying Probopass and Aggron. Stone Edge 2HKOes those pesky bulky Psychic-types like Hypno and Grumpig who resist your STAB Close Combat and Mach Punch. Mach Punch is a great choice on Hitmonlee, as its low Speed can really let it down when faced with an opposing sweeper like Ninetales, but thanks to the Attack boost from Bulk Up, you can easily take it down. Bulk Up also serves another purpose, letting you boost Hitmonlee's terrible Defense as well as its Attack, turning it into a powerful tank. Earthquake can be used over Bulk Up if you want a more offensive Hitmonlee, as it provides great coverage with Stone Edge.

The choice between Admant and Jolly is rather simple. With Adamant and the given EVs, Hitmonlee hits 273 Speed, outpacing neutral base 85 Speed Pokemon, like Articuno and Toxicroak. With a Jolly nature, Hitmonlee hits 300 Speed, outspeeding most of the UU tier. It is
recommended you do not run Mach Punch if using Jolly, because the power output isn't nearly as much as Adamant.

With a Choice Band attached, Hitmonlee is an absolute monster, OHKOing even Steelix with Close Combat. This allows Hitmonlee to break
stall teams even easier, but requires a lot more prediction to work effectively.

Close Combat provides a reliable STAB move, which will OHKO most of the
UU tier, and provides great coverage with Stone Edge. Earthquake would normally have rather redundant coverage on this set, but in UU, it works because of all the annoying Poison-types that wall you thanks to their resistances to Fighting and Rock-type moves, like Nidoqueen and Muk.
(Muk doesn't resist Rock) Sucker Punch is usually
the best option on the
last slot, as it allows you to go first against faster opponents that you can't outpace normally, but Blaze Kick can work as well if you're worried about Venusaur and Vileplume.

An Adamant nature allows you to OHKO Steelix, but a Jolly nature lets you hit the wonderful 300 Speed mark, outpacing threats such as Jolly Toxicroak and neutral base 100 Speed Pokemon.

chances?
Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 144 Def Bold Claydol: 36 - 42%
Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Bold Blastoise: 61 - 72%

If you decide that you want to use Hitmonlee as a revenge-killer or just to sweep a little faster, Choice Scarf is an option. With the Speed boost, Mach Punch and Sucker Punch can be removed, because you are already faster than the opponents you would be hitting with those priority moves, and you can use both Blaze Kick and Earthquake. If you use an Adamant nature, Hitmonlee reaches 410 Speed with a Choice Scarf, 450 Speed with Jolly and a Choice Scarf.
noteworthy things that Jolly outspeeds over Adamant?

[OPINION]

With the highest Attack stat and the second highest Speed stat of all the UU Fighting-types, Hitmonlee is a force to be reckoned with. Couple that with an impressive movepool, and you have one of the best sweepers in UU. Hitmonlee can really mess up
stall play in the UU tier, making
it a great choice for most UU teams
.

[COUNTERS]

The number one counter for Hitmonlee is Claydol. It resists Stone Edge and Close Combat, and is immune to Earthquake, while
threatening Hitmonlee with STAB Psychic. Weezing is also very effective, taking little from Hitmonlee's attacks, and burning it with Will-O-Wisp. Nidoqueen and Toxicroak
(I think Toxicroak would get severely injured by CC since it rarely invests in defenses.) also make decent counters, but they must avoid Earthquake. Rotom can burn it, and is immune to Close Combat and Earthquake. Scyther and Altaria can both come in on most moves and OHKO with Aerial Ace and Outrage
, respectively. Venusaur can come in on every attack (even Earthquake is a 3HKO) and then OHKO with Leaf Storm, or set up.

In general,
Poison, Ghost, and Flying-types do a good job of countering Hitmonlee. Hitmonlee also has low defenses, so just exploit that to eliminate it.
