Round Six
And we've returned after a brief mix-up with technology. Turns out some weird fish's virus had infected our systems. The challenger returns his fainted fairy, shouting "Bring it on" at Maylene, who herself returns her Machamp, and replaces it with her green bladesman. It's glowing white like the Mawile did, and now it's some odd superhero, white blades and even a cape. Will it save Fort from his imminent demise? Speaking of Fort, he mumbles some incomprehensible gibberish and sends out his own fighter, a strange, flying, brawling, Mexican... thing. This is why you need a giant wall.
The Gallade sprints towards the challenger's Hawlucha, glowing purple and giving it a powerful headbutt straight into the chest before it could react. The challenger's Pokemon eats some of its red vegetable before shining bright briefly and fiercely gliding towards its foe. Maylene's Pokemon stumbles, taking a huge blow from this small opponent, who seems to be more pumped up and active after its assault. It flies towards the Gallade a second time, faster yet delivering a slightly lighter blow to it, but still leaving a sizable mark. The swordsman shines violet once again, bashing the bird as solidly as its first hit despite its sustained injuries. Hawlucha chews on its herb again, gleaming white, and flies at full speed towards its foe, creating a brief pulse staggering it before delivering a sharp blow to its head, knocking it to the floor of the basement into a chair. Maylene's Pokemon pushes itself to its feet, but can't seem to gather the strength to fight its opponent, a slightly terrified look in its eyes.
The challenger seems to have the advantage in this round after that lucky break in Gallade's concentration, although ordering first against something of its calibre must be difficult and seeing through its arsenal of tricks is no simple feat; Maylene has a chance yet. Will Fort conquer the bladesman, or will Maylene take out a clean sweep?
If Encore, Dodge that action. Push back actions.
If Hawlucha is in the evasive stage of a damaging / evasive move when you would act, use Future Sight on the first instance and Trick Room on the second.
Round Seven
Gallade takes a fighting stance, prepared for any attacks that come its way. However, Hawlucha isn't in the mood for attacks, and instead screams insults at its foe, causing Gallade to "invigorate its passions" apparently? I dunno. I do know that Hawlucha gave Gallade a sarcastic round of applause much like the Machamp did previously, causing it to struggle helplessly for some reason, dealing some significant damage to Hawlucha. The Mexican fighting bird thing glows white, takes some more drugs eats some more herbs, and glides, tackling Gallade to the ground. Gallade struggles once again to get out, but instead only knocks itself out. The score's now 2-1 to Maylene, so it's not all over yet, especially as her ace is now down for the count (good predictions Matezoide). Can the challenger overcome these last two battles to take out the title?
If Pin Missile is disabled when you would use it, use Bug Bite that action.
If damaging Psychic-type combination attack, use Detect that action. Only do this once. Push back actions.
Round Eight
Maylene beckons to the challenger, shouting complacently about her loss. Fort complies, sending out his Alakazam. Cries of "Is that the ref?" come from the stadium. Well, let me tell you the difference. Apart from my far superior number of spoons and my truly magnificent beard, the main difference is that Fort's Alakazam at the moment does in fact have feet. In other words, it wasn't called Look.No.Feet yet he didn't mega evolve it. The gym leader sends out her Heracross, a Bug-type with the potential to easily knock its opponent out in one round through sheer power. This should be a good fight.
Alakazam builds a barrier around itself to protect itself from physical hits, allowing it to resist perfectly the onslaught of pins shot by Heracross. Heracross, worried by Alakazam's tricks, goes on the defensive, watching Alakazam in anticipation, waiting for the attack it would bring. Said attack hasn't occurred yet; Alakazam kinda sat there thinking really hard. Like reeeally hard. So hard it needed rest afterwards. See, when you're a Mega Alakazam, your thought power increases so much that you don't need to cooldown after every strong thinking session, just most of them. The bug takes this opportunity to hit its foe with its sharp horn, chipping off more than a third of its health.
Maylene seems to be in the lead here despite the Future Sight coming in on Heracross next round. With its enormous firepower, the ability to hit super effectively, and the second order advantage, it seems as though Maylene should be able to win. Can Fort use Alakazam's bag of tricks to pull out the win here and take it to a tiebreaker round? Or will Maylene take it out here and now? Will Alakazam ever actually Mega Evolve?
IF heracross is to use damaging bug combination, THEN protect and push subs back.
IF heracross is to use damaging bug move, AND NOT in a combo, THEN use psychic.
Gfdi i dont have counter yet. Or bide. Yeah.... im gonna come back with a better team.
and btw i can predict $&@?!$ ~ pin missile ~ pin missile but i cant do anything about it.
Round Nine
"We're done here," shouts Maylene, and that is an accurate summary of this round. Heracross braces itself for the impact of Alakazam's psychic strength, instead receiving a barrage of insults from the Alakazam, who did in fact Mega Evolve. Its facial hair is now almost as magnificent as my own, and those unsightly feet are nowhere to be seen. But I digress. Heracross then takes a large blow, as foreseen by its opponent in the previous round. Alakazam follows that up with the anticipated psychic attacks, leaving the fighting beetle battered. Heracross, however, gets back up into its fighting stance and sends a barrage of spikes towards its levitating opponent, boosted by its determination and low health. Alakazam repeats its previous attack, bringing Heracross down as low as it possibly could. But, alas, it's not enough, as the Single Horn Pokemon gets up and charges toward its foe, skewering its frail body, and knocking it to the ground. Maylene wins 3 matches to 1, defending her title!
