Monotype Viability Rankings
Hello and welcome to Monotype Theorymon! The idea of this project is to see your ideas and how creative you can be about giving Pokemon something they don't have and how that would help itself or the type more better or more viable. Anyone can participate. Discussions and feedback and encouraged and you can contribute to these without submitting your own ideas.
Every five days, I will choose a type and your goal is to pick a Pokemon of that type that's C Rank or below (can be Unranked) and give it a typing, an ability or moves that it doesn't normally get and explain how it would help out the Pokemon and/or the typing. The reason the Pokemon has to be ranked C or below is because the higher ranked Pokemon already have things going for it and usually don't need much improvement. Sometimes there will be exceptions though if the idea is really cool and would do a lot for the Pokemon and the type itself. Try not to go above B Rank though as it won't be much fun to make those Pokemon even better. After five days there will be a voting period that will last a few days. You will be able to vote for up to two ideas and the winner will be featured in the Hall of Fame which will be included below. After the voting period a new cycle will start where we do the same thing for another type.

- Don't submit ideas for Pokemon that are already pretty viable in the current metagame. This project wants to focus mostly on ideas that would improve Pokemon who are underused, outclassed and don't have much going for it.
- Make sure your ideas don't include extreme buffs such as Huge Power Slaking, Boomburst Meloetta etc.
- When making changes to a Pokemon, don't focus only on improving what the Pokemon already does. You could make it work differently by changing it's moves, ability, typing and let it do more than it normally does.
- When submitting an idea, don't just list four moves and an ability you would put on it. Make sure you list it like it's in your teambuilder, with the stats, name, item and all of that.
- Give a description on how the changes you made help the Pokemon and the typing that the specific cycle focuses on.
- Don't insult other people for their ideas even if you think it's bad. Let the voting period decide that.
- Editing your idea is allowed as long as it's not during the voting period.
- The same Pokemon can be posted more than once by different people as long as the sets aren't the same.
- You can only give Pokemon a boost in it's stats as long as it's something minor like a small boost in speed, HP etc. This is because any Pokemon can become viable with a huge boost in stats. If you're changing stats tho make sure you mention what the Pokemon's stat would be after the changes you made.
