Stop 2 before your target frame and SS(sweet scent)

It actually in the 4th guide, most of dppt rng guide work for hgss

Edit you can also advancement your frame by SS but it work alot different and I dont really recommend it

Okay, sorry about posting on the SQSR thread and not here guys. Now about my unusual problem with rnging my own gyarados. I was able to hit the right delays. But something unusual just happened. So I'm awefully confused.

I have been hitting the delays and adjusting the pikatimer for hours because I thought I wasn't hitting the right delays and it turns out that was hitting the right delays the whole time. But the reason why I didn't think I was because the rng reporter says that raikou needs to be R: 42 but Raikou was in R: 38. Since I have Raikou in the wild, the elm calls that I'm supposed to get were ((E Skipped) K,E,E,P,E,E,K,E,K,E) if Raikou is in R:42. But when I typed in the elm calls that I got when Raikou is in R:38, I got (E,K,E,E,P,E,E,K,E,K). When I put the R: 38 elm calls, I click on the search button and it showed me that both elm calls are identical and they have the same delays.

So how did a thing like this happened?

If you browse this thread, many different people have experienced the same issue, and no one really knows why it happens. For me, at least, it seems that for every seed you hit, there will be some delay like this where elm calls and roamer routes won't match. Sometimes it's your target, sometimes it's one close to it. All I can say is that if you don't see your route number for your roamer, it's always good to use elm calls. If you don't get an exact match with the elm calls, check adjacent results for the same pattern but maybe shifted a frame or two (like what you experienced).

Okay, so nothing is wrong and people are having the same issue. But just one more question. even though the roamer like Raikou isn't in the same route, will the Raikou still advance the frame by one or no, since the "E" wasn't skipped in the elm calls?

If it wasn't skipped, I doubt it will be skipped later, so I suggest RNG as usual and see how it comes out in the end, if it's off just do it again.

Would these be considerd usable shiny spreads?:

I just tried to RNG Mew with the hexflawless Timid spread (I hit my seed), advanced the frame 113 times, talked to the Delivery man, but Mew didn't end up having 31 IVs in every stat.

Did I do something wrong, or can it not have the hexflawless catching spreads?

You can't RNG abuse for nature when it comes to getting Wonder Card pokes. I think your trying to get the one that requires you to be at frame 116. If so, hit your delay and then advance the frame by calling Youngster Joey 57 times and then Elm 1 time to get your perfect Mew.

That's how I did mine at least.

You did something wrong. I did 2 hex flawless mews (Modest and Naive) using some random nature hex flawless spread back during the JPN giveaway. Chances are you probably didn't generate the frames in the Reporter using Wondercard as the method. It's a common mistake (I do it all the time STILL).

Pro-tip:
When you get the wrong mon, look hard and figure out what seed/frame you actually DID hit and the problem usually becomes evident.

You should always know what frame you are on by using elm calls when you get close to your target. Make the call for the frame right in front of your target and then pick up. You do this by generating all frames in RNG Reporter for your seed (don't set any specific IVs or nature or anything) and following elm call responses. Example:

Target is 116
112-K
113-P
114-E
115-E
116-K

Make the calls K,P,E,E then talk to the delivery man to pick up. Your pokemon will have the IVs of frame 116. It is literally impossible to miss your frame this way.

Well, I used Method 1 as the capture, and seed d2140289 (the Timid hexflawless). On Method 1, it says to land on 114.

I know I didn't get the nature I wanted, but maybe I was using the wrong Method, because I always thought gift Pokes were Method 1.

Wondercard pokes are not method 1. They are Wondercard method. And their nature is not at all tied to their IVs. It's a random nature every time. You can get IV/Nature combos, like Adamant Hex Flawless that are not legal Method 1 spreads. (I think one of my Jirachis has an "illegal" spread).

You generated it with the wrong method and were probably 2 frames off.

In the Method list in the Reporter, pick "Wondercard" it's like at the bottom of the list. Not. Method. 1.

The key to figuring these things out yourself is:
When you get the wrong frame, take the time to figure out what frame you actually DID get.

RK has some great advice there too.

Well, I know natures are not tied in with IVs and that it's random. What I didn't know is that I didn't use he Wondercard method, and will be doing so next time. :)

I have now RNG'd all stationary legendaries in SoulSilver. Next I'm going to RNG abuse Giratina and Palkia. (The Arceus event in Sinjoh Ruins) Are they handled in the same way as stationary legends? (Synchronize, Methok K etc) Or are there any differences when RNG'ing these? Is their Monster Frame 1 as well?

they are method 1, so no synchronizers, and yes the monster frame is 1

guys, I keep making sure that I'm hitting the frames very accurately after I hit the right delays but I'm still not having any luck at all.

I advance the frame from walking, swimming, and doing the phone calls all the way to 125 and then I clicked on the gyarados to advance the frame 1 to hit 126 frames but I'm still not getting the gyarados that I'm looking for. =/

Maybe you should hit 126 frames, then talk to the Gyarados. Might work?

yeah they would be, what for? (are you planning to RNG for your ID/SID combo or do those just happen to be on your current game?)

Diabolico: I assume you're trying for Red Gyarados capture? It is not method K or method 1. It's method is chained shiny theoretical.
