Volcarona [Male] [Solabrande]
Types: Bug/Fire
During my battle with my acquaintance Munchyoshi, Solabrande had exhibited an unprecedented behavior for a Larvesta; his horns morphed into much larger tendrils, and used them to draw energy from the sun. It is especially curious how they achieve this, as their natural habitat lies deep beneath the crypts of Unova, but Solabrande is quite the exception.
When I came across Sol, I was accompanying an exploration party deep within Relic Castle. After long hours of descending into the expansive darkness, our party reached what appeared to be a Volcarona's nesting chamber—a cave easily distinguished from the ruins by the shining silk draped across its walls, reminiscent of sunlight itself. Among this strange silk lie evidence of what appeared to be a massacre. Wild pokemon had discovered the nesting site and had ransacked it, leaving the remains of undeveloped Larvesta—some left uneaten. While our group set onward, a magnificent flame banished the darkness. A lone Larvesta stood before us, its eyes scintillating with rage. It appeared that this Larvesta had hatched during the raid and had scattered the scavenging pokemon, before turning its fury on us. Despite its bravado, it was still a hatchling; my Dusk Ball made short work of capturing it. While a cave-in shortly following the encounter ruined the rest of the exploration, Solabrande became part of my life, and I would wish nothing different.

Puget:
Dragalgae [Male] [Puget]
Types: Poison/Dragon
Puget had always been strong for his kind. Even in the wild, he never lost his territory to another skrelp during their constant disputes, which often resulted in permanent injury to his opponents. His prowess did not lie in his physical capabilities or in his agility, it lie in his affinity for his aqueous manipulation. Puget's potent water attacks KO'd all three of my opponent's pokemon with the assistance of Chaora, which had ultimately carried me to victory against my acquaintance Protolucario, a fellow novice. However, what followed perplexed me.
Unlike most trainers, I seldom keep my pokemon in their pokeballs on the grounds of observation. As a pokemon researcher in training, it is my duty to discover all I can about these friends and assets. I keep specially-made habitats across Hoenn for each of my pokemon so I may observe them naturally, and they have yielded unprecedented data. I keep Puget in an open habitat in the seas west of Mossdeep City, an ecosystem filled with lush underwater vegetation where he may go about his life naturally. Early the morning after our duel with Protolucario, my cameras caught quite the sight.
Resting against a frond of kelp, Puget slept peacefully. The first rays of morning light colored his habitat an auburn orange, and as his body was hit by this light, it started to change. While he appeared to still be asleep, thin, plantlike growths extended from every pore. Before long, these growths were the size of young kelp, but a pale blue, a color unique to Puget. His kelp continued to lengthen and grow what seemed to be air sacs, levitating the kelp to where Puget's body was a small underwater forest. His new form was magnificent, but it faded quickly. As Puget woke, his newly spawned appendages retreated into his pores, completely undoing the change. Stunned, I scrambled to retrieve the video files from the recording. After reconstructing the transformation, I am left with this synthesized image:

As of late, Puget has begun to grow. While growth for most pokemon is normal and happens throughout their lives, Skrelp only grow soon before evolution. If his growth is to continue, he will evolve within the week. Never before have I commanded a fully evolved pokemon, so raising a Dragalage will be a daunting task. A creature known sinking even the most heavily-clad of vessels is frightening indeed. However, I am very excited to command a pokemon with such fighting strength!
