Round 1 results

Rules:

  1. All UU matches will follow the current tier list.
  2. Sleep Clause
  3. Evasion Clause
  4. Species Clause
  5. OHKO Clause
  6. Self-KO Clause
  7. Timed Battle*
  8. Soul Dew Clause, expect for Ubers
  9. Arceus is banned, even in Ubers
Format:
This round will be best 2 out of 3, consisting of UU, OU, and Uber matches. Players may select the order of the tiers played, but if a player wins their quarterfinal bout in 2 matches, they must report to me the tiers played. The semi-final is identical, and the finale is best 3 of 5, with 2 additional OU matches.

Other Information:
Be sure to inform a tournament match recorder, i.e. locopoke, before your match is played. Also make sure to send reachzero your teams for commentary purposes.

I was going to post who I expect to win in the other matches but it's harder than it looks because I have never seen some people play in certain tiers. (I've never seen VIL play at all barring his match vs. me!)

Anyway, I will get in touch with xiang tonight. Should be fun, good luck to him. It will be at least a few days before we play because I need to perfect some of my teams!

/edit: Are the tiers frozen from this point onwards?

The tiers are frozen, so expect Cress and pory-z.

Nice matchups,

Jibaku vs. Philip7086 - Uber is Jib's and OU is Phil's, though can't be sure about UU.
Ashley vs. xianglongfa - Ubers'll probably make the difference.
Zak91 vs. PurpleWeezing - Unless PW wins either OU or Ubers, of course.
panamaxis vs. Veteran In Love - Never say either of them play UU, so I really can't tell. Pana's consistent though.
