cool week, hogg vs dodmen is a fun match to watch and koko vs. teal6 is going to be heated up.
Tesung vs Hikari - Hikari is going to have to bring something different if he wants to win, which will give Tesung the edge.
xMarth vs bugzinator - idk, bugzinator brings cool teams but could go either way
hogg vs dodmen - i think dodmen will bring some creative things that might catch hogg off-guard, although i've seen Hogg prepare for his matches very well (props for that), but dodmen could bring whatever he likes using.
kokoloko vs teal6 - koko will probably hax his way through.. and try to counterstyle teal6. even though i'd really like teal to win, the pressure is so so high which might make him play on the backhand.

So I'm new to SPL (never cared about it before), is this kind of win streak a regular thing?
Nope. Teal is just a god.

Going 8-0 is amazing considering he has played the best players the tier has
he hasn't played me yet actually so going 8-0 is nothing special
Yeah, just wait until he goes 9-0
To put things into perspective, I believe the UU player with the best record last year was IronBullet, who went 5-4. I think the best all-time streak in any tier in SPL was 11-0 (which teal will only be able to replicate if the Cryonicles make playoffs and win past the first round).
Who went 11-0 though
forry spread was 248 hp / 136 def / 124 spdef relaxed, so he had a 10.5% chance to 2hko with drain punch if he clicked it on the switch and a 0% chance if he clicked play rough as he did, he got absolute max at 43.3%.
florges was 248 hp / 252 def / 8 speed bold. so that was also about a 50-50 for teal. thing is even if he got the low roll, its another 50-50 from there cause he can just go right into hydrei and click u-turn as i synth since champ is at full and force ANOTHER 50-50.
CMing on the puff switch was also another hazy play that i'm not sure was 100% optimal, but if i avoid the 50-50 roll by moonblasting, the turn after the next becomes a 50-50 decision on after he pivots into champ and forces a 50-50 between slam and dpunch (which still had 2 pp).
so idk. this is one of those really rare situations where i legit don't know if i could have played better, but i wouldn't be surprised if i choked either. funny how i'm almost sure that if i played teal at the beginning of the season, i would have won, but he's gotten so much better over the course of spl its kinda crazy. legit one of the few players i actually respect as more than mediocre.

florges was 248 hp / 252 def / 8 speed bold. so that was also about a 50-50 for teal. thing is even if he got the low roll, its another 50-50 from there cause he can just go right into hydrei and click u-turn as i synth since champ is at full and force ANOTHER 50-50.

That game forced me to really play as best I possibly could. I've never had one where the last handful of turns came down so much to rolls, 50/50s and such. I'm glad you enjoyed the game too, you can always tell when a game is good when 4-5 turns go by really quickly but then that next turn one of us has to sit and calc and think for like a minute straight haha. The rolls from Swampert's EQ on Florges made my life a living hell because I legitimately could not figure out what spread it was.
I don't have actually a ton to say here, r0ady's post-com catches a lot of what was going through both of our heads, so it's definitely a good watch. I really enjoy matches like that, because I felt we both played really well (however frustrating it is to get 100% hard read, you have to respect it --> see doubling to Florges on my Sceptile, staying in with Alakazam t1 knowing I wouldn't throw momentum, etc.)
All I really have to add is that I hope we get to meet in playoffs and match up again, it would be awesome.
