Programming Pokémon Showdown Damage Calculator

Adding snow doesn't boost any ice type's defense and thus does not boost damage of body press. And some abilities dont affect stats when they should, fur coat doesn't double defense, which gives the same problem as before. Idk if all other weather works as it should but just noticed this.

Please reply if im just being dumb and it actually works

Body Press uses the Defense stat and stages but is still affected by Attack-related effects like abilities/status/items otherwise and not Defense ones like https://www.smogon.com/dex/sv/moves/body-press/ says.
Damage is calculated using the user's Defense stat as its Attack, including stat stage changes. Other effects that modify the Attack stat are used as normal.
 
Double posting to announce a new feature: the damage calc now supports sets for Gen 9 Random Doubles battles and Gen 9 Baby Random battles!

Edit (July 28, 2024): Random Battles damage calc now supports Gen 8 Doubles and BDSP Random Battles!

While doing more terapagos calcs, I noticed that for some reason, certain Terapagos-Terastal sets default to the ability Tera Shift, which should be the ability of Terapagos. Furthermore, some Terapagos sets also have the wrong ability in Tera Shell when it should be Tera Shift.

Hello! I was wondering if it was possible to add the CAP pokémon in the Randbats part, CAP randbats is a format and will still be accessible after the rands spotlight. They have sets and everything.
Quite late but essentially, the damage calculator uses data generated from https://pkmn.github.io/randbats/ to put in sets for Random Battles. Because this site doesn't provide data for CAP Randoms, we can't implement CAP Random Battles in the damage calculator.

Random battles lost again because out of date sets are pulled up first. ______mon has Choice Specs being calc'ed instead of Life Orb which has been standard for 6 months, ______mon doesn't have assault vest on even thought it always does. Can I volunteer to import and update these sets? Random battles sets are horribly outdated on there.

We get our Random Battles sets from https://pkmn.github.io/randbats/. These sets are also used by the Showdex extension, if you use that. These random battle sets are automatically updated every hour with the most up-to-date sets.

It also isn't clear which Pokemon you're talking about and which generation that is for. Could you please be a bit more specific about which Pokemon and generation you think that the items are incorrect for?
 
Damage calc still has the old CAP BST, specifically for Kitsunoh and Chuggalong (Kitsunoh went from 103 Atk to 117 and from 110 Speed to 128, Chuggalong had its Speed drop from 115 to 108)
