i can still hear it sometimes. the crackle of the flames in the distance. the sound of a full hp bar being dropped, sometimes from a neutral hit, sometimes not very effective. and the screaming, that horrible, horrible screaming. it was so long ago, but whenever i close my eyes i still see the carnage with crystal clarity—rows and rows of alomomolas and dondozos littering the battlefield, fresh-faced physical walls ready to take on the world merely hours ago, now twisted and burned almost beyond recognition. as if i'm still there, i feel the sun beating down on me and my team, sweat dripping down my back, the heat not lessened even an iota by the shadow of the magnificent terastallized beast looming over us, ready to drop whatever stood in front of it with a protosynthesis-boosted outrage or flare blitz. "don't be afraid," i tell myself. "it's over. we won. it can't hurt us anymore." but deep down i know that gouging fire never really died. all we killed was the monster, not the idea. we thought we were doing right. we thought we won. but how much of ourselves did we lose?Hold on you may have cooked

Zamazenta. Always strong, good defenses, speedy, always reliable, can round up so many teams because it can switch in to anything physical.CAP-ah movepool.
Anyways, in these times of uncertainty, what are your guys' comfort picks? Mons that you always like to fall back on, whether you want to just have fun or collect ez dubs? My pick is Iron Hands, it's just straight up one of my favorite mons and always has funny things it can do. It's a lot more versatile than I think people give it credit for tbh.
Kommo-o, its extremely hilarious with its versatility so I can run whatever the heck I want with it when i'm bored (clangorous + drain punch is the goat)CAP-ah movepool.

yeah no way stall is a top 3 playstyle right now I think it's more that the people who top ladder with stall are just really good at playing itThe line between BO and HO is more blurry this gen than any I recall, that's for sure. My logic is that it's never been safer to load up HO in a serious game- be in tournament or high ladder. Personally, I think the top 3 styles rn are BO, HO, and Stall. I'll def agree that BO/Balance is consistent and viable, but the ability to stop HO has never been more difficult, imo. I feel like HO and Stall should be more niche than they are, and only played by those who actively enjoy that style, win or lose. The fact that these styles are top tier right now just doesn't feel right. HO and Stall are on the extreme ends of the playstyle spectrum but here they are being dominate playstyles; I feel this illustrates a problem with the meta but I can't quite extrapolate as to why exactly, tbh.
Until my dying breath, I will always standby Iron Crown being awesome. I went from feeling indifferent to it, to the pokemon being one of my favorites of the whole gen. Be it Assault Vest (standard or bulkier variants) or Choice Specs sets being a deceptively good breaker. Haven't had the chance to test out Calm Mind sets, but i've seens them my fair share of times. They look pretty neat for what it's worth. I will gladly sing it's praises even when this stops being current genAnyways, in these times of uncertainty, what are your guys' comfort picks? I usually like dragapult, purely for how much it can do for any team. It can either go utility with status to check some of the most crazy threats(wellspring, zamazenta), with either wisp or twave and hex + darts. Theres also specs, which is great at annoying and chipping checks down in the long term, and band(the most underrated set), which with tera dragon darts can break nearly every non fairy check.CAP-ah movepool.

I think if blast fails to get banned I think you gotta suspect the mechanic as a whole, since it is the most logical next step from there.Finchinator indicated that Tera Blast will probably be suspected later down the line although I don't see it ever having the traction to actually get banned.
if Tera Blast fails to be banned Tera sure as Distortion Realm won't beI think if blast fails to get banned I think you gotta suspect the mechanic as a whole, since it is the most logical next step from there.
If blast secures the ban though that would not be required though
Ehh, crazier things have happened. I mean Natdex didn't even consider a blast ban ever, and somehow got tera banned the third timeif Tera Blast fails to be banned Tera sure as Distortion Realm won't be
i get what you're saying, but if a tera blast suspect can't get traction i struggle to see how a suspect of the mechanic as a whole would succeed. i'm sure there are people who would vote against a tera blast ban but in favor of a tera ban, but i don't think that makes up a large enough collection of people to sway the resultsEhh, crazier things have happened. I know this isn't a fair comparison but my point being stuff that you wouldn't think would happen at first can happen as proven with the potential palafin drop as there were no plans to test anything into OU before this event, prior to the huge Palafin unban community support as of recent
Point being povs change with time. Thus why I never say something is impossible unless its a pokemon that is too good to even test
If people are still fed up with the meta if blast fails to get a ban it could happen but who knows?
No point in thinking about the future at the moment
I don't see enough support for a full Terastal suspect, but Tera Blast is a doable option.
Remember that, even though it's not a generational mechanic, Baton Pass received several gradual cuts until it was completely removed.
I don't see any side effects starting with just Tera Blast, unless you suffer from obsessive compulsive disorder.
I support a Tera Blast suspect, even though it's not something dominant, I feel like it pushes DD Kyurem against the wall and is an annoying high risk/high reward lure.
I also don't know if, despite supporting it, I would participate in new suspects along the current/Gliscor lines. It's unnecessarily exhausting. I also haven't heard anything else about a possible Survey that was being considered right after DnB Gliscor.
I get the reasoning but also what? The council wouldn't unban tera just because of nostalgia? If people don't want to play Gen 9 ou without tera that is their loss. (I don't support a tera ban BTW I am just sharing how I feel)Tera itself might also get a lot of people who stopped playing gen 9 OU due to getting Tera to come out of the woodwork to get it banned. These people probably couldn't care less about a Tera Blast suspect.
I will say that even if Tera gets banned (unlikely) I would want it immediately unbanned at the end of the generation. Unlike gen 8 where no-one cares about dynamax, gen 9 nostalgia is definitely going to be about playing the Tera gen again.

D-speed. The mixed attacking sets are nearly always good on offensive styles or even a lot of balance. There is even that one PP stall set, although I don't play stall. It's surprisingly versatile for a glass cannon with 95 base attacking stats, but the all out mixed attacking sets are best. Specifically, Tera Dark LO with minimal EV investment in speed. Then you usually play it like a really fast wallbreaker, not necesarrily as a sweeper.CAP-ah movepool.
