Coincidentally related question: What's the format to insert a type icon?Like this Amoongusszoroarkimposter
Can't answer the first question, but there isn't a code for the tera symbols. However, the gems work well for that. : normal gem : ofc getsalso, is there a code for the tera symbol? just finished a suspect and I wanna slap it on.
I could've sworn I used to have them in my signature, and I'm pretty sure I didn't manually insert all of themThere is no format to include either type symbols or tera symbols. You can manually add them as images and scale them.
Most of the relatively unpopular metagames have some sort of discord server listed somewhere in their respective threads/forums. Those are generally the best way to matchmake rather than just hanging around in queue waiting for someone else to play (which can easily take more than 10 minutes if you're playing a metagame that isn't OU.)3. On showdown, I’m interested in playing some battle types that aren’t commonly available: Gen 3 UU, Gen 3 Doubles, and Gen 5 doubles. I was wondering what the best way to find people to play would be.
So there isn't a regular format for a Anything Goes in Gen 2, but you can use this challenge code with your friend:Hello, Im new to this site and im looking to play with a friend and have fun. Im familiar with Gen 1 and 2.
But I have issue with format, if im looking for Gen 2 without restrictions what format should I select?
Thanks In advance

Depends on whom exactly you are referring to that holds BW OU in such high regard. In general, most top players and veteran Smogon members consider the BW tiering era as a resolute failure. Even today, BW is far from being a "solved" metagame, even compared to the generations that followed and especially in direct contrast to the preceding gens 1-3. This largely has to do with the fact that the tiering of BW has continued into the past decade following the introduction of gen 6+.Gen 5 OU has been regarded pretty highly from what I have known and is a prestigious tier that feels differently treated than other gens... I know this might sound a bit objective but why is it so special to the players compared to the other gens?
Hi, thanks for your advice. I also noticed there is a Gen 2 Custom game, just available in challenge... wouldnt be the same?So there isn't a regular format for a Anything Goes in Gen 2, but you can use this challenge code with your friend:

This code has everything legal without any of the clauses or mods in regular OU or Ubers.
Custom Game doesn't have any legality checks in any way, so it's up to the users to make sure that everything is legal or even possible in the games themselves. The above challenge code is probably easier for validation purposes.Hi, thanks for your advice. I also noticed there is a Gen 2 Custom game, just available in challenge... wouldnt be the same?
Update: I was watching a Gen 2 Custom Game battle and a pokemon had an ability, may be a bug?
Yes! We're running a tournament of it in March. Is "Draft National 'Dex" a thing?

Do you think we’ll be able to get information on the players’ teams when it’s over?
They're just messy. It's way easier to parse "these things are banned: this, this, and this" than it is to parse "these things are banned: this, this, that, this when paired with that, that but only when the moon is full..."Im pretty sure there is a good reason complex bans don't exist in modern gens, but what exactly is the reason? When did we stop doing them, and why do past gens still have them, even though modern tiering actions on old gens no longer complex bans?
RipIn OU
It also helps that there are very few situations in which complex bans are necessary. Most of the times, if a mon uses 1 or 2 moves to make the metagame nigh-unplayable, the issue is with the pokemon itself and not the move, and thus the pokemon is banned. In the case of something like shed tail, it was later shown that the move was the issue and not the pokemon (seeing as the relatively bad mon that orthworm was saw considerable use and was pissing everyone off) the move was banned and the pokemon was not. Neither banning pokemon or moves are complex bans (depends who you ask about that move thing ngl but i don't find it very complex)They're just messy. It's way easier to parse "these things are banned: this, this, and this" than it is to parse "these things are banned: this, this, that, this when paired with that, that but only when the moon is full..."
That said, in cases like Terapagos and Tatsugiri, I do think Smogon has gone too far in the other direction. Still preferable to the shitshows of Gen 5 and Baton Pass, though.
For me, it depends on the ladder. What would you consider low, medium, top ladder in terms of ELO?
speaking of OU, many players of current generation OU consider 1750 or higher to be high ladder instead of 1600 and more, but for past gens we can definitely have that number instead. For me, it depends on the ladder.
For example, OU Low ladder is probably from 1000-1350, mid ladder is like 1350-1600, and high ladder is anything past that.
But on a ladder like, say, ADV ZU, low ladder is 1000-1200, mid ladder is 1200-1300, and anything above that is high ladder.
Depends on the population of the ladder, more people generally means higher peaks and more ELO diversity. Also depends on how easy it is to win in the format, because in something like AG, it is really easy to get to 1600+ without dropping a single game.
