Well the top 15 most iconic article was a good read and gotta say that anyone who comes to this tournament for the plays is a hypocrite. SPL is the best tournament for all the drama it creates. And after reading the article I gotta say the TDs are in for the content as well. How else could the atticus scenario be pulled of? Who on their right mind would allow a manager to play for any team other than their own. I've been a lurker for a long time and I remember atticus as a great user (and gen 4 top dog). I find it crazy that they let him pull a Durant and not a Thanos "ill do it myself moment". Or the gr8astard draft prank? How is it allowed for people who know he isn't serious to not speak up about this little fact and in the process screw over a franchise with an obvious domino effect on the rest on the draft.

Smogon was a crazy place back in the day. We refer to that era as the "Wild West" for a reason. I would also recommend you read my most popular top 10 thread:

Another great year of SPL spriting! Big ups to the newest member of the team, RADU, who really helped this year as the rest of the team's bandwidth was a little low; thank you RADU! As always, thanks to everyone involved in this always-herculean, always-wonderful effort—@Clementine, Irpachuza, deetah, Turtleye_, kyledove, and @Kalalokki—with special shoutouts to the managers I worked with for being a joy to collaborate with.

Happy SPL everyone! SPL avatars are finally complete, and I have to say, we definitely cooked this year. As always, shoutouts to my fellow artists Clementine, sharpclaw, Irpachuza, Turtleye_, kyledove, and our recent newcomer, RADU, for their hard work this year. I think I speak for all of us when I say we're excited to show off what we worked on for the 16th edition of the tour!

I once again got the pleasure to work with the Cryonicles this year. I drew this custom sleeping Suicune sprite from scratch based off a reference image, and I have to say I'm extremely proud of how it turned out. While I've done trainers from scratch in the past, this was my first full Pokemon from scratch. Huge thanks to RADU for some helpful tips and edits on it throughout the process. I recolored this scrapped BW2 Volkner sprite as well as kyledove's gorgeous Concordia sprite and added a sparkle effect. I hope y'all love how it turned out as much as I do!

Those who know me know that Garchomp is above and beyond my favorite Pokemon of all time, so I'm super stoked I got to work with the Sharks this year. This custom Garchomp sprite was a team effort on our part; it took a lot of us to get it looking great due to how unique and dynamic the pose is. Mainly, big shoutouts to RADU and Turtleye_ for their work on it. I added in the Cynthia sprite and kyledove's Leon-Masters sprite and gave them a trendy recolor. Garchomp is ready to go all out with its aerodynamic design!

I also got to work with Classiest a bit this year to help them settle on a second sprite. After a lot of testing of different cool ideas, we eventually settled on kyledove's Sabrina-FRLG sprite. I think it turned out beautifully with this recolor!

My work with the BIGS was minimal, but I did get to help out with superhero Snorlax here by giving him some powerful looking Hyper Beams. Credit goes to RADU for the rest of the work!

I was drafted as support for this CA season, the holidays unfortunately put me out of commission for most of the time. Thankfully, RADU just came in and swept half the avatars up by himself my god, brother's been on fire.

Anyway, towards the end there was still 1 team without much done so I picked those up:
