NOC Secret Hitler Mafia - Game Thread [FASCISTS WIN]

Alright Ill just drop it, I clearly don't understand the math then and that is on me.

I figured you were factoring in the probability of there being 3 or 4 liberal legislation on Day 1 and that Des and I had both actively worked against town.

I think it technically is possible that Des and I both actively acted against town from an outside perspective thougj I know that to not be the case.
This would be a scenario worth thinking about if the mafia knew each other. They may now, but didn't on D1. Even if you and des were scum, you wouldn't know it and wouldn't be able to risk lying about what you sent.

I believe they are allowed to have one recruit max. If the recruit dies they may recruit another (?)
To clear up any confusion - Anarchists can only attempt to recruit once in the game. Even if the recruit fails, it is still counted as one. If the recruit dies, the anarchists cannot re-recruit.

Do either the fascists or Anarchists win the game if there are two of their faction and two liberals, or does it need to be a strict majority, i.e. 2/1

When the anarchists reach parity with the liberals + fascists, the anarchists win - the first scenario is correct, I simply haven’t updated the rules.

Ok! I agree, I would never risk outting myself as mafia on the very low probability that I manage to nominate another nontown player.

Its good news that anarchists only get one recruit. That means it is safe to vote off any recruit.

I think our smartest play at the moment is just to keep doing what we’re doing and aim for a legislative victory, we don’t really need to execute at the moment. Having someone claim will let us not accidentally elect Hitler once we reach that stage

Need CK to confirm what he received for legislation.

Following the probability logic, if anyone ever reports seeing 0 liberal legislation then they are above random chance at mafia. Unfortunate if that just happens to a townie but then we may have them claim.

I have a question about that since when should townies claim because don't you think its a lil to early>

Yeah I mean, this seems like a game where the math is easy, nothing happens, and we wait while presidents keep getting rolled and hope that they aren't idlers.

We can punish anyone who is the cause of 2 fascist policies going through (president sends 4 or chancellor puts up 2) and still have more than enough leeway to essentially never lose. Am I missing something, here?

We are at 7:3 and eventually 6:4 probably if not already. If we lose 2 townies, we would no longer have a majority which could be bad. If we get unlucky and lose someone who was actually given 0 liberal policy choices, that does get us dangerously close to not having numbers.

A named townie could be recruited (I think?) So that is a small risk, but we also can be sure they arent Hitler so if we do vote them as chancellor they may sabotage but we wouldnt lose outright

There are forced kills at different thresholds so we should be prepared for that.

I wouldn't say "dangerously". The forced kills do make the math of outing yourself as scum different at different thresholds but anarchist votes don't count as scum if they would end the game.

But this is all hypothetical, I'm just trying to find something to talk about while waiting for CK.

oh dear hello. i got out of a ROUGH day of work lol

echoing the statement that it is far too early to start claiming, although i’m not quite sure it’s wise to wait until 8 fascist policies to mass claim. i fear i need the logic there broken down

I personally wasn’t suggesting we mass claim, rather just have one person claim and be elected chancellor repeatedly

could you explain why we should claim earlier than 8 policies, i havent played a whole lot of mafia so am not super sure what the best time to start claiming is

I still have not received a chancellor nomination. If this occurs, in this instance and in the future, the chancellor will be randomly selected and voted on. My apologies for not clarifying this earlier.

Seeing as we have not received a chancellor nomination, the random chancellor nominee is Evie. Furthermore, the 4 policies sent will be randomized.
