Proposed OU

I came up with this team because I figured I needed a new team as my old team had some imperfections I was too lazy to fix, so this is the result. Any criticism is welcome. As a side note, I don't use legendaries, and I would prefer not to have all of my team be rock, ground, or steel types. Even though it is based on sandstorm, I still want some diversity for the best possible team.

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Adamant Nature
Sand Stream
60 hp / 252 attack / 196 speed
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Pursuit

I don't really know what to say about this, but it sets up my next Pokemon and the moves have a decent type coverage. I have a Tyranitar similar to this and it's done fairly well in the Battle Tower.

Garchomp @ Brightpowder D:
Jolly Nature
Sand Veil
16 HP / 252 Attack / 240 Speed
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Fang / Crunch

I've heard this thing is unstoppable. I'm willing to test it out >:] The evasion is really useful even though most people hate battling it, (it's defeated me numerous times in Wi-fi battle tower) but I guess it might be beneficial to my team.

Forretress @ Shed Shell
Relaxed Nature
Sturdy
252 HP / 162 attack / 96 defense
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic Spikes
- Explosion
- Rapid Spin

Pretty useful, I can set up rocks and toxic spikes and spin away any that my team has gotten. When I think his job is done I just explode and it usually kills something, or nearly does.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid Nature
Natural Cure
172 HP / 120 SpAtt / 216 Speed
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Surf

Boltbeamer, good recovery move and coverage. Counters Infernape, Gyarados, and Garchomp somewhat.

Breloom @ Toxic Orb
Adamant Nature
Poison Heal
44 HP / 252 Attack / 212 Speed
- Spore
- Seed Bomb
- Focus Punch
- Stone Edge

Spore the opponent to sleep, then focus punch it. Seed bomb is for stab and stone edge is for coverage. Toxic orb poisons him and it gains HP and I'm pretty sure I can switch into Toxic Spikes with benefit.

Cradily @ Leftovers
Careful Nature
Suction Cups
252 HP / 164 defense / 92 SpDef
- Toxic
- Stone Edge
- Recover
- Earthquake

Meshes really well with my sandstream team, and walls special attack with the SpDef boost from Sandstorm. Toxic for increasing damage obv, and recover to support itself.

And that's it. Any and all suggestions and criticisms are appreciated.

Your team needs unison by which, stick to to the strategy, if you want it to be a sandstorm team for example replace your special sweeper to lucario so it can take advantage at its immunity and sandstorm bonus or for a physical wall, gliscor

Ditch ice fang on tar.

Pursuit wants to be there. Just owns anything switching out.

Lucario @ Choice Specs
Modest Nature
Steadfast
4 Defense / 252 SpAtt / 252 Speed
- Aura Sphere
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Dragon Pulse

Good Lucario set? And I should put Pursuit on Tyranitar? Any other suggestions?

You have a pretty bad Gyarados weak...One DD can pretty much sweep the team. Seems like your only counter to it is Explosion on Forry which isn't reliable. Maybe Vaporeon or Starmie > Espeon.

Starmie is a boltbeamer, and that can serve as a good Infernape, Gyarados, and Garchomp counter. Maybe I should go with Star over Lucario.
Good idea Mystica :]

Mix-ape runs over this team, so I reccomend Starmie or Vaporeon like earlier. But Starmie is perferred as it outspeeds Infernape so it is not scared of Grass Knot or ThunderPunch.

Also run HP Ice over Dragon pulse and Vacuumn Wave over Psychic on Lucario. (If you replace it)

Well about 4/6 of your team is leaning toward a SS style team, so I would just take it the whole way. I would REALLY recomend Registeel and/or Heatran, but you dont ues legendaries. Then I would suggest an Aredactyl. It's one of the fastest pokemon in the game, with 130 base speed, and a max speed of 395. Give it some Fangs, a life orb, and it can supereffect and OHKO a lot of things.

Consider changing Breeloms nature to Jolly, so that you can outspeed Salamence and those pkmn who like to switch in

You could do that, but don't expect to outspeed any Salamence. Even the slowest of Sala's run 270, whilst Breloom maxes out at 262. I don't know where -CAY- got that idea from.

I'd be a little worried that you have 2 4x Ice weaks and one 2x Ice weak. Any Boltbeamer will give this team a lot of trouble, especially if they have an attack that can harm Tyranitar (think Starmie with Surf, or PZ with HP Fight). Azelf is also pretty harsh on this team, and I daresay it's gg if a Psychic/Flamethrower/GrassKnot/NastyPlot variant sneaks in a NP. Dragonite's the only Poke who can take a boosted hit, but if SR is down, he's finished.

Definately consider Blissey or Cradily. A ResTalk Snorlax could work to a lesser extent too, without losing too much offensive power.

Changed accordingly.

Cradily fits perfectly into my team, but if I replace Dragonite with it, it will only reduce another ice weakness.
