Ok, so I was thinking today about
the thread in the D/P policy makers board, and Latios could become OU. It's similar to a few other OU dragons, most notably, Salamence. I was thinking, couldn't a mixed set work? Well, here's what I came up with.
--------------------------
The Set:
Latios @ Life Orb
Nature: Lonely
EVs: 180 Atk/252 Sp Atk/60 Speed/18 Sp Def
Ability: Levitate
Moveset:
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Draco Meteor
-HP Fire
First, EVs. 252 special attack is to hit as hard as it can with a neutral nature and Life Orb. 60 speed is to outspeed Choice Scarfed Heracross after a Dragon Dance. 180 attack is to 2HKO Bliss with Dragon Claw after the Dragon Dance. Rest in special defense, although it can be shifted over into HP if you'd like.
Now, moveset. This works somewhat like a MixMence, but it can't hit Blissey as hard
immediately. However, it has the advantage of shooting off Draco Meteors at 405 speed, and then hitting Blissey for the 2HKO with Dragon Claw, while the only thing that it can really bother you with is Thunder Wave. If it's not carrying that, then it's just going to die to Dragon Claw. Chances are Blissey will switch out after it switches in on the DD anyways, so you can either DD up or go straight for the HP Fire/Draco Meteor, depending on what their physical wall is.
The Strategy:
Come in on something stuck on a Choiced move that can't touch it, or stuff that it resists (MixApe anyone?) during the mid-game, and Dragon Dance on the obvious switch to Bliss. They switch again, afraid of whatever's coming from a +1 attack/+1 speed Latios, and then you have two choices from there. Go straight for the Draco Meteor/HP Fire, depending on what they'll send in (you should probably know since it's mid-game), or the worse option, Dragon Dance again on the switch. From there, hit whatever hard with an according move, and possibly sweep, although Draco Meteor will likely stop you from doing this.
One notable counter to this set is Heatran, so you might want to carry a Dugtrio to come in for the revenge kill on anything that isn't Scarfed, or possibly a Milotic, which does very well against Heatran.
Here are some calculations:
Note: The physical walls will be sent into it after they see the Dragon Dance.
Draco Meteor:
Hippowdon
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def
Damage: 93.33% - 109.76%
Slaughtered by Draco Meteor on any switch-in. It only has a chance if it somehow tries to revenge kill with an Ice Fang, but it's chances of surviving a Draco Meteor is less than half.
Weezing
Nature: Bold
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def
Damage: 120.06% - 141.32%
Raped by Draco Meteor.
Slowbro
Nature: Bold
EVs: 212 HP/252 Def/44 Sp Atk
Damage: 93.75% - 110.42%
Thanks to Latios base 80 HP and base 110 special defense, this laughs off Slowbro, even those carrying Ice Beam. It's only real chance is if it Calm Minds while you switch in.
Gliscor
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def
Damage:107.34% - 126.27%
Raped by Draco Meteor.
Donphan
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def
Damage: 117.71% - 138.54%
Only chance is Ice Shard, which won't OHKO, even with a -def nature.
Gyarados
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 212 HP/0 Sp Def
Damage: 78.13% - 91.93%
2HKOs with Draco Meteor. You can Dragon Dance on the switch out if you think your opponent doesn't want to let Gyara die then to screw over Intimidate's effect.
Hidden Power Fire:
Skarmory
Nature: Impish
EVs: 252 HP/96 Atk/156 Def/4 Speed
Damage: 80.54% - 94.91%
Only thing it can do to you is Whirlwind you away.
Forretress
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 Atk
Damage: 171.47% - 201.69%
Ahahahahahahaha
Bronzong
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252 HP/152 Atk/8 Def/96 Sp Def
Damage: 52.66% - 62.13%
2HKOs basically 99% of the time.
Dragon Claw with one Dragon Dance:
Blissey
Nature: Bold
EVs: 188 HP/252 Def
Damage: 53.30% - 62.75%
Basically, Blissey is the only thing that can take on this set. The only chance it has is Thunder Wave.

Well, uh, could it work? Calcs are rather convincing. I dunno. It's always worth a try...
