so if des is telling the truth and their transport failed because someone else was transported
- Roxie and HyHy were transported by a third party (who should not claim, we have too many probable town power roles out in the open as is)
- HyHy was targeted with both janitor and godfather, which killed Roxie
- Roxie targeted HyHy with some unknown ability, which caused them to appear to self target. Unless Alice is the janitor, it has to be an accidental self-janitor
- dbd and Alice both targeted HyHy and neglected to mention it, which caused them to both investigate Roxie (assuming town alice)
- assuming the above, if both of them are town, HyHy's role has to be on that list
- des attempted to transport roxie and dbd, but it failed due to transporter chains not actually being a thing
- no hypnotist required, HyHy would have to be telling the truth
Unless I'm missing something this would make one of Roxie or Alice the janitor
that being said, until we get confirmation that a second player was transported we're kind of stuck here.
*Unvote
anyways i'm having fun with mechanics but not really getting anywhere. it really boils down to des and dbd being tvs which you don't even need the extra mechanics to justify since they're directly contradicting each other
tomorrow I plan to read back and pay a little more attention to the vibes of people reactions to stuff. I almost think we're better off finding a vibes read to vote this round than either of dbd/des unless something else can be uncovered to tilt the scales one way or the other on them
fwiw I think Alice claimed that dbd's claimed role wasn't in her list of roles it should be, so barring some more transporter nonsense they also have to be opposed to each other, right?
To the people here more experienced than me, would a transporter give a false result? EG if I watched person A, but person B swapped person A and person C, would I get a result that looks like "person A was visited by (people who visited person C)?"
