me and Hydro just had a conversation and he's not doing it yet he's doing it later, but I think it's worth notifying town of what he intends to do

which is post everyone's information in the thread and we can go back to playing NOC as an informed majority, following a massclaim

I'm also fairly confident he miscleared Alice and that's why things went goofy. It's not 100% or anything, but Alice was added to towncore just bc she was targeted with a hypnotist that got transported onto ECat, and as I said to Hydro, in a setup with 3 transporters it's actually entirely possible / probable that scum would self-target with hypnotist. It makes substantially more sense than Miyami psychic-claiming their scumbud out of the game, and at the moment that's the solve LMAO

HydrogenHydreigon did you order Lechen to idle by your own free will / did he try and convince you idling was best etc. etc.

if Lechen's an archer it's certainly in his best interest to get a kill off on PoE to get the town kill flavour

One of these is probably the Mafia Support slot in the Confusion Delusion setup. At the very least, if mafia have been claiming roles across each other to spread more confusion, their results mean that only one of them is scum using the results of the Mafia Support role.

Miyami (claimed psychic, pretty challenging mafia fakeclaim but possible)
Lechen (claimed archer, totally unproven and pretty easily could have been proven)

Not to sound complacent or confident but we have an 80% shot of shooting scum, at least FMPOV. If we want to leave Lechen til last and wait for him to shoot someone (which won't happen lol), it's a 75% shot. We do not vote myself or Lechen out because one of us has to be town, that's 50% odds.

The only thing we had to do is not vote out the town between [Lechen], Alice, joey, JALMONT, and Miyami, and we are progressing forward.

"only one of them is scum" is more absolutist wording than I intended, but it would be challenging to pull of either an investigator or tracker fakeclaim without using mafia abilities to feed yourself results, and that's the situation we have here

I do think psychic claiming your partner out of the game is goofy as shit so honestly, maybe joey IS the final remaining town

I think joey or jalmont is the witch, at the very least. Jalmont claiming doctor would make a lot of sense for the witch anyway.

Miyami's psychic claim is actually helped a lot if Alice is the final scum; they had all the information on what town was thinking so they could have done this work and figured out that joey is the final viable misvote. It's very convenient, otherwise, for that to be what the psychic result settled on today. It also lets them engineer the psychic results to simply not include potential witches, which again I think at this point is probably JALMONT, because they would be kept in the know about potential witch candidates and therefore simply wouldn't write them into their results

This is actually really interesting, because to trim these down

Lechen:
Archer (Town Killing; Claim)
Sicario (Mafia Killing)
Recon (Mafia Support)
Witch

(because Forger is impossible alongside Hypnotist)

Miyami:
Psychic (Town Investigative; Claim)
Mafioso (Mafia Killing)
Ambusher (Mafia Killing)

And there is one Mafia Killing slot.

This creates a really weird relationship, because as I mentioned, joey's mafia version of his role is recon. It's entirely possible that Lechen is the recon and joey just used his results to claim; it's risky but has potentially significant payoff specifically because tracker and recon are in different investigator result groups.

Of course, if Miyami is actually town psychic then Lechen could just be the Sicario instead.

But overall this makes joey being mafia significantly likelier, because there's now a probable source for his information. In fact, Recon has to be in the game if Miyami is scum.

Regardless it made my first instinct solve of Alice / Lechen / Miyami scumteam not impossible, but weird if true. Because if Miyami and Lechen are both mafia, Lechen has to be a Recon, and if he is a Recon why wouldn't anyone on the scumteam claim tracker, especially because it means that mafia team wouldn't be able to have a consigliere due to them both using the Mafia Support role slot.

I suppose there's potential there for Lechen to be Witch and for none of this to matter, though

we don't have a witch claim for N3 so I'm wondering if that could have potentially done something, but I assume AirC would've known to claim it if he was witched and ECat def would've so :tymp:

and more to the point, Ehmcee if Trapper targets a player that was Transported, will they be impacted by the transport.

i.e. does their "it takes all night to set the trap" and "it only becomes active the next day" etc. etc. grant it some kind of transporter immunity, either by priority or some other means?
 
I don't really understand why everyone started talking in the thread and by everyone I'm referring to a select few people prior to Hyhy deciding to open up discussion. not that it matters but I am (was?) strongly against opening the thread because I think it's just way too easy to for mafia to start talking lots of nonsense and negatively influence decision making

like we could've just had these posts done in PM without alerting the world to what's going on

of course this was all assuming hyhy could be trusted which I guess is not entirely the case anymore or idk??? I don't really understand town of Salem and don't really have the time to try understand everything so yeah. I'm not really privy to how the people in charge have been doing things so I guess if they are struggling then I respect the decision to open up conversation even if I disagree

0%, they targeted themself according to DBD (close to conftown's) result which solely a doctor is able to do

I forgot about that til you reminded me actually lol
