To elaborate on neon he was I think the first to call out Ne, but more generally his thought process in the admittedly low amount of posts has always felt towny. Being concerned about being pocketed seems like a thing town does much more

I think that the claim is towny because information roles give town an advantage. If he was mafia he wouldn't have used it to be honest.

Mafia Rolecop is a fairly common role. Its useful for mafia to be able to find town info roles so they can kill them

No, not at all. Any kind of role info is great for mafia since they have no clue who the town PRs are by default. Scum could simply use it and then share the info with their team in scumchat to avoid giving town any benefit.
