SMLT RULES
- This will be a Ladder Tournament into Single Elimination, Best of Three, Top 16 Playoffs
- This will take place on the regular "SM OU" ladder on the main Pokemon Showdown server.
- The qualification period for the SMLT will run for a total of 4 cycles with roughly 7 days per cycles. After each 7 day cycle, the top 4 accounts that appear on the leaderboard (using ELO) will qualify for the playoffs of the SMLT to compete.
- If a player in the top 4 of a given cycle is already qualified, their alt will be ignored when counting the top 4 alts for that cycle.
- In order to break potential ties, the unrounded ELO of each player who qualifies in a given cycle will be recorded in order to break any potential ties. Your unrounded ELO can be found by using the following URL: https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/~~showdown/action.php?act=ladderget&user=[your username here]
- Your account must contain a specific tag as a prefix to mark it as an SMLT II tag which will be released at the start of the tournament on September 29th and will be valid during the entirety of the qualification period.
- You are not required to make a new account for each cycle, you can use the same one for the whole ladder portion of the tour.
- you are allowed an infinite number of alts as long as they follow the sign-up format and procedure.
- In order to sign up, follow the Sign-Up format and procedure in the corresponding thread here. Any points gained on an alt that has not been registered on the sign up thread will be INVALID.
- you will have to register a brand new account before you play any battles on it for your points to be counted.
- All ladder games involving a player with a the SMLT prefix are forced to be public.
- Anyone caught cheating in any way will be subject to punishment.
- It is going to be a Top 16 Single Elimination Best of Three. You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.
- Players will be seeded by their ELO at their respective screenshot time
- Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown!. Smogtours is mandatory for the entirety of playoffs.
- Replays are required for all matches.
- Activity calls will be made by the Hosts not playing in Playoffs or Tournament Director. Coin flips will be done publicly on PS.
- Anyone caught cheating in any way will be subject to punishment.
