I definitely feel the same way here. It's just mentally draining to be engaged in this game at all. What's worse is that the people leaking it do say the game is fun. They might have some issues, but they do seem to all agree they enjoy it. Maybe it is just being too online. Odds are based on this it's gonna be a game where it's generally well received even though commentators already have knives out because of the reception to the last game.

I’ll be generous to this game despite my post on the last page of this thread. This will be the game’s last chance I give it to impress me pre-DLC. I eventually came around to the last few games at the actual last minute too- can Legends ZA do the same? I want to try and limit my negativity in my posting this week as much as possible, and to their credit, as much as I hate the designs, those developers are lucky I like the Pokémon they chose for Megas as much as I do. I’ll admit they cooked with Scolipede, love that line, and I’ve seen a few others like Drampa in this thread that look decent too.
Oh, and one more thing. What are the odds Mega Heatran is real and they actually give it back Eruption this time? I only say that because I have massive amounts of copium that 2025-26 will be the year event-exclusive moves start coming back thanks to Champions and the additions to Nintendo Classics (specifically the GameCube games). Legends games and traditional remakes seem to be strong in the idea of giving Pokémon revamped movesets anyways, so even if they don’t bring more event moves back in 2025-26 we can still count on improvements to older Pokémon regardless which is always nice. Sacred Sword Mega Gallade, anyone?
Edit: For context on Heatran, it, Darkrai, and Zeraora had some leaked information earlier in this thread and speaking as a Pokémon Ranger fan, I was hoping Hisui would throw Heatran a bone and make the move re-accessible seeing how similar the Legends genre is to that specific trilogy. Plus, there was the translation error referencing Heatran in the original X & Y games. Virtual Console games never allowed for transfers, and neither does Pokémon Stadium on Switch but maybe this could as a Switch 2 exclusive or something…?
There does come a point in any given community where its like....it's beyond criticism and now you just have Beef and maybe you should just like. Disengage with the property entirely and be genuinely happier for it.
Not unique to Pokemon, but it has the bigger fanbase so it sticks out.
Anyway if you're like me and didn't have Floette's stats memorized the changes here are +20 Atk, +20 Def, +30 Sp Atk, +20 Sp Def, +10 Speed
Looks like from this the mega boosts are:
+20 Atk
+20 Def
+30 Spa
+20 Spd
+10 Spe
Nothing really special, but it'll still hit like a truck and be specially tanky as well with "meager" Garchomp level speed.

It really isn't unique. I have noticed this sort of thing in other big fanbases like Star Wars, Marvel, and the like. I do think generally fandom has become a lot more negative in recent years where things go beyond criticism into beef fueled by many different things. Plus with these games, I think there's a lot of factors this time adding together which has made it sort of a punching bag for the general gaming community, ironic considering I remember the gen 4-5 years when people would be using the games to piss on CoD. But hey, not the place for this. Leaks are actually happening. Let's get back to seeing just what the new megas can do and prepare to get overhyped for them only for Mega Kanga to take her rightful place as Evil Empress of the Meta once more.

Also scolipede becomes slower but gets beefed up in defense and offense. If only it had recovery it could be a tank but its definitely a stall breaker.
Sadly looks like megas aren't coded with new abilities, they just use the defaults so we won't know if like scolipede keeps speed boost, either way I think scolipede turned out insane considering that defense/atk with access to either iron defense or sword's dance.

You can't deposit stuff from any other game into LGPE; if you have a 3DS Alolan Rattata and you sent it to HOME, it is stuck in HOME.
